Jesus Christ exclaimed, "Not everyone who says to Me,"Lord,Lord"'shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven"(Matt.7:21) His warning should cause all of us to carefully consider our religions beliefs and assumptions.Why?Because many who claim to be His followers, who claim to have done great deeds in His name,will be rejected by Him.He will tell them,"I never knew you"(matt.7:23) Today we are faced w/ hundreds of religious groups,each claiming to be Christian and regarding itself as possessing that special something that gives it God's stamp of approval. Most groups that profess to be Christian represent themselves as having a "calling" as being the "chosen" of the Lord.Even many non-Christian religious groups regard themselves as divinely chosen.NO matter how we look at it,the religious scene is confusing..No wonder millions are suspicious of all religion.Is it possible to sort the truth from this puzzling religious hodgepodge?------ In deed,it is!If we are willing to take an honest look at the facts and accept the truth as revealed in the Scriptures! Jesus Christ is real.He was resurrected.He is alive.And His impact on the world has exceeded that of any other man who has ever lived.... Most people are familiar with the name Jesus Christ,but how many knows what He taught?What was His mission?What What makes His true followers different?Who truly represents Him?........ No point in taking our problems to others, beacuse the one who we think will be able to help us when we go deeper in his life, he may be in a bigger mess then we, so the best one to take our problems to is Jesus our savior and trust Him and Love Him with all our heart and we will find peace and joy that we are looking, Please pray for me and my family, thanks, Joy

Thanks for the welcome. The poem is beautiful and appropriate for me because I lost my beloved Mom on April 15. Indeed, God is in total control...and she is with Him. As Christians we are expected to support and comfort each other. Thank heaps. May God continue to bless you and your ministry for Him.

DARE You To Be Healthy!
 
Who doesn’t want to be in good health—filled with stamina and energy, able to fight off disease and fatigue? And while you can’t deny your genetics, you have more control over your health than you may realize. It’s all a matter of:
 
Diet — Choose foods that your body needs: fresh fruits and vegetables, crisp salads, plenty of water (why fill up with sodas and caffeine drinks?), lean meats. The Bible speaks in no uncertain terms about the wisdom of a common-sense diet and life-style. “The drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty” (Proverbs 23:21). The Living Bible paraphrases 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 to read: “Haven’t you yet learned that your body is the home of the Holy Spirit God gave you, and that he lives within you? Your own body does not belong to you. For God has bought you with a great price. So use every part of your body to give glory back to God, because he owns it.”
 
Attitude — What happens in your life is far less important than the attitude you bring to it. Hatred, guilt, fear and discontent can take their toll on your body. Stop dwelling on the negative! “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things” (Philippians 4:8).
 
Rest — No machine can run long without stopping periodically for maintenance. Your body, infinitely more complex and precious than the most valuable machine, is designed by your Creator for regular periods of rest and relaxation. But treat your mind and spirit to intervals of repose, too. After you have prayed about a problem, and after you have done all you can, leave it in God’s hands. “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength” (Isaiah 30:15). Jesus promises, “Come to me…and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
 
Exercise — Two of the greatest dangers to health are being overweight and the lack of physical activity. All exercise is beneficial, but one of the best forms is simply walking. It lowers blood pressure and cholesterol, reduces the risk of heart disease and enhances muscle tone. Walking also strengthens the chest, shoulders and back muscles; it increases bone density in the hips and lower vertebrae. “Remember the Lord in all you do, and he will give you success” (Proverbs 3:6). Ask God to help you get a move on and be healthy!

GREAT MEAT FOR CHRISTIAN HUSBAND TO CHEW ON FROM CHARLES SPURGEON

"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church." - Ephesians 5:25

 

What a golden example Christ gives to his disciples! Few masters could venture to say, "If you would practise my teaching, imitate my life;" but as the life of Jesus is the exact transcript of perfect virtue, he can point to himself as the paragon of holiness, as well as the teacher of it. The Christian should take nothing short of Christ for his model. Under no circumstances ought we to be content unless we reflect the grace which was in him. As a husband, the Christian is to look upon the portrait of Christ Jesus, and he is to paint according to that copy. The true Christian is to be such a husband as Christ was to his church. The love of a husband is special. The Lord Jesus cherishes for the church a peculiar affection, which is set upon her above the rest of mankind: "I pray for them, I pray not for the world." The elect church is the favourite of heaven, the treasure of Christ, the crown of his head, the bracelet of his arm, the breastplate of his heart, the very centre and core of his love. A husband should love his wife with a constant love, for thus Jesus loves his church. He does not vary in his affection. He may change in his display of affection, but the affection itself is still the same. A husband should love his wife with an enduring love, for nothing "shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." A true husband loves his wife with a hearty love, fervent and intense. It is not mere lip-service. Ah! beloved, what more could Christ have done in proof of his love than he has done? Jesus has a delighted love towards his spouse: He prizes her affection, and delights in her with sweet complacence. Believer, you wonder at Jesus' love; you admire it--are you imitating it? In your domestic relationships is the rule and measure of your love--"even as Christ loved the church?"

THOUGHS TO PONDER TAKEN FROM MATTHEW HENRY COMMENTARY OF MATTEW 3:7-12

. Here is a word of caution, not to trust in outward privileges. There is a great deal which carnal hearts are apt to say within themselves, to put aside the convincing, commanding power of the word of God. Multitudes, by resting in the honours and mere advantages of their being members of an outward church, come short of heaven. Here is a word of terror to the careless and secure. Our corrupt hearts cannot be made to produce good fruit, unless the regenerating Spirit of Christ graft the good word of God upon them. And every tree, however high in gifts and honours, however green in outward professions and performances, if it bring not forth good fruit, the fruits meet for repentance, is hewn down and cast into the fire of God's wrath, the fittest place for barren trees: what else are they good for? If not fit for fruit, they are fit for fuel. John shows the design and intention of Christ's appearing, which they were now speedily to expect. No outward forms can make us clean. No ordinances, by whomsoever administered, or after whatever mode, can supply the want of the baptism of the Holy Ghost and of fire. The purifying and cleansing power of the Holy Spirit alone can produce that purity of heart, and those holy affections, which accompany salvation. It is Christ who baptizes with the Holy Ghost. This he did in the extraordinary gifts of the Spirit sent upon the apostles, ( Acts 2:4 ) . This he does in the graces and comforts of the Spirit, given to those that ask him, Lu 11:13; Joh 7:38,39|; see ( Acts 11:16 ) . Observe here, the outward church is Christ's floor, ( Isaiah 21:10 ) . True believers are as wheat, substantial, useful, and valuable; hypocrites are as chaff, light and empty, useless and worthless, carried about with every wind; these are mixed, good and bad, in the same outward communion. There is a day coming when the wheat and chaff shall be separated. The last judgment will be the distinguishing day, when saints and sinners shall be parted for ever. In heaven the saints are brought together, and no longer scattered; they are safe, and no longer exposed; separated from corrupt neighbours without, and corrupt affections within, and there is no chaff among them. Hell is the unquenchable fire, which will certainly be the portion and punishment of hypocrites and unbelievers. Here life and death, good and evil, are set before us: according as we now are in the field, we shall be then in the floor.
