The things that touch my heart; a collection of thing that were shared with me

NAILS IN THE FENCE There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the… Continue

Asking for the ancient paths

God is stirring a fire within me to begin to step out and as if it were walking on the water. I am reminded every day of Jer. 6:16 where God spoke to His people and told them to ask for the ancient paths, and where the best road is, and walk in it and you shall live in peace. It is sad but the end of that verse said they would not. I fail so often to simply ask God to stow me the right path to take and act like the children of Isreal who would not ask for the ancient path, the bes… Continue

Trusting God is a decision that I have to make daily

Today I choose to trust God with my family that He will help them come to understand The love of God revealed in Christ Jesus. Today I choose to trust God to meet all of my needs, physically, spiritually, financially, and emotionally. I will praise the Lord even when I do not understand or feel deserted. Yet I will praise you object width="425" height="355">… Continue

Hi again my Special Brother BOB
I took you all, especially you, in my journey abroad. I was successful in doing that because of your prayers. I love to share everything with my beloved ones here in the name of Jesus, because you are great men and women of God. My life is bound with your lives with the blood of Jesus. Thank you so very much for everything. I could not have the internet that time so in advance I asked my brother Bernhard to keep you all informed about my whereabout during my being abroad. I thank you too for your support in Bernhard's Crusade. Just be blessed always my special brother, just be blessed. Haleluja...

Dear Bob; I have missed all my good friends here very much. Life has been very busy for me. I have been a nurse 24/7. My husband is slowly improving and so far it appears he may be getting some vision in his eye back. I can't even remeber what I told anyone here about what was going on.
Thanks for all your prayers and hope to talk to you soon. You are truly a dear friend in Christ. Love Mandy

Hi Bob,

Sorry I'm just now getting back to you. I have a terrible habit of placing mental "Post-It" notes in my head - and then pressing "Ctrl-Alt-Delete". It's no wonder I never seem to know where I'm at!

Thanks for shedding some light for me on your fine Redneck heritage. I can sympathize with you -- I come from a long line of Missourians and my wife's family started in Arkansas. So you can imagine some of the stuff that 15 year-old of mine comes up with :-)

Anyway, your redneck Bible verse got the wheels in my head goin' 'round and 'round. Rather than making me dizzy they gave me an idea...thanks to YOU!

I just sent an email to a publishing industry contact suggesting a "Redneck Bible Stories" book - one for kids and one for adults. He responded with, "Awesome, Ken...How soon can you get it done?"

Now I need to try to find some time to put this together, but it just might see the light of day. If it does, my good friend, would you rather have new wheels for your outhouse -- or a door?

God Bless!

Ken
