Is it ok to study about spiritual warfare?

Of course it's fine. It's actually a great topic to discuss esp in these times we're facing.

Hi June,

I think it's not only ok, but absolutely necessary.  I posted a blog on the subject, feel free to check it out here:

Blessings, Carla

Thanks...i did know about armor of God and use daily but what i meant was if you have to have a special calling to go deep into studyibg spiritual warfare to become a warrior.
There is a bible study on spiritual warfare by John Ramirez, ex-satanist. Look him up in you tube or let me see if i can post a link here. As i was raised in christianity, i was told not to be on offensive but rather defensive....you dont go looking for enemy in a forest but you get prepared with the armor of God. Should you encounter the enemy, you fight. So i was thinking that maybe we should have a calling from God to do spritual warfare.

Spiritual warfare is going to come to each & every child of God. It's not a calling whatsoever. It's a fact of life. How we handle that warfare is up to us. Putting one the armor is definitely the first step we should all take before trying to go to battle with the enemy.

Hi June,

I'm happy that you clarified your question..  I'm reminded of Jude 1

8" In the very same way, on the strength of their dreams these ungodly people pollute their own bodies, reject authority and heap abuse on celestial beings. But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”[d] 10 Yet these people slander whatever they do not understand, and the very things they do understand by instinct—as irrational animals do—will destroy them."

We would be wise to follow the example of Michael the archangel, and leave the rebuking and binding, and everything else up to God.

Also, just a note, when we do fight, it's only to speak the Sword of the Spirit which is the word of God.  That's our only offense, and indeed our best offense.  It's so important for us to hand things over to Jesus that are too big for us to understand, let alone try and take on.

Blessings, Carla

We become easy and vulnerable targets to Satan and his minions for several reasons. Some are weak in faith; some are not well instructed in righteousness, some have erred from the Truth; some don’t yet know how to make peace; some aren’t completely sound in doctrine and in the Word. No one fully understands all the truths in the Scriptures but the Spirit of Truth guides step by step, just as an infant learns to walk, and it depends on how spiritually strong the person is to follow, as the truths begin to unfold to them. What’s important is that the person is seeking to know the truth. The covering of the armor aids someone to stand against Satan's attacks. Is the armor for fighting or for protection or both? Is there anything we can do to prevent attacks?
The spiritual armor doesn't stop attacks but protects us through them, helps us stand, while the Bible is our only weapon. The ‘armor of God’ Scripture passage also mentions prayers. Praying for one another helps.

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,

in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. But that you also may know about my circumstances, how I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make everything known to you. I have sent him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know about us, and that he may comfort your hearts. Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:11-14, 16-24‬ ‭NASB‬‬

I believe we fight a lot of “so called battles” that we really don’t have. In other words the battles that we as Christians, “New Creations” have has already been won. When we believe that we are not “just mere men”, but indeed new creatures, that we have the love and nature of Christ living inside of us, we won’t be giving place to the evil forces that rob us of our joy and peace. Often times we hear of a deadly virus some will panic, and fear sets in, rather than giving the Word of God first place in our thinking, we let our imaginations take over.

We have not received a spirit of bondage again to fear, but we have received a Spirit of adoption; whereby we cry, ABBA, FATHER.  Ro.8:15.

There are many scriptures that tells us not to fear. As in Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
10.  Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

“Dismayed” a primitive root; to gaze at or about (properly for help); by implication to inspect, consider, compassionate, be nonplussed (as looking around in amazement) or bewildered :- depart, be dim, be dismayed, look (away), regard, have respect, spare, turn.

But don’t we all, when hearing of something that threatens our way of life, start looking around for help, either from a Doc. or a Lawyer, rather than first looking to Christ “Word”? Our thoughts usually start considering all the possibilities of “what If”

When we look at Scripture, for guidance in making decisions, or as we that pray in tongues for guidance, sometimes it will reveal to us either by revelation or by written word, as in Ps. 91, is a go to chapter. ie. No weapon that is formed against us shall prosper, or by his stripes we are healed.

Those scriptures, though are powerful, IF they are spoken in faith, and not out of desperation or fear.

For most of us, (me as well) the Word hasn’t become a reality yet in our everyday life.

Ephesians 4:11-15 (KJV)
11  And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14  That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15  But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:…  Can we even imagine?

So do we throw caution to the wind and just walk around as if there is nothing going on? No! The threat is still there, we are still in a mortal body, subject to physical ailments, but we have within us the greater One. We submit ourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from us. We don’t tempt God by ignoring the rules. Peter and John didn’t get excited, or fearful when they encountered the impotent man at the gate beautiful, that the man could have a deadly disease, But Peter just said; Such as I have, give I thee, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk, they took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength… So what did Peter have that he gave the man?  He knew his righteousness was in Christ, and the authority that he had to raise the dead, heal the sick and so on. As all of us have that believe. Fear not the battle is not ours, but it is the same God that dwells in us that does the work, we just have to believe in the finished work of Christ, which is our righteousness.

Romans 10:6-8 (KJV)
6  But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7  Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8  But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

Even Abraham just believed God and it was counted unto him for righteousness, not in our trying to keep the law.

Isaiah 54:14 (KJV)
14  In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.

Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice. Be Blessed
