All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Ok, if a person has a certain sin that is caused by circumstances. What if the situations/circumstances can't really be taken out of the way?

And, what does a person do if that sin is comitted and it'll lead to another sin?

Please pray God helps me stop...I'm so ashamed.

Brother, I don't want to do the sin. I'd love to rest in Jesus' arms and not do the sin anymore.

Faith? That's part of the problem. There's a very importent part of this sin-it's fear. Faith doesn't mix with fear...

You see my friend; you are magnifying sin over the grace of God.

God made it very simple for us; James 4:7.

Also read, 1Jo.1:9;

When we stand before God; we will have no excuse.

Maybe you should read the post that Amanda started, Can Born Again Believers Commit the Sin that Leads to Death? “”

Do you want to live??

What post is that?

Live? What do you mean? I have eternal life in Jesus. This sin is a stumbling block.

All, it's a discussion. I get post and discussion mixed up.

I read the dicussion. I'm even more discouraged now...Do you think I'm a hinderence to the body of Christ?

Amen Joe. Great words of encouragement.

Actually, there's another sin. I'm disobedient to my parents...

It's kind of complicated. It's a secret sin I've tried to hide. I guess I just didn't know how to deal with it...so I tried to hide it. Resisting it didn't help since I still have to deal with it.

Char, it doesn't have to do with their religious beliefs. It's something different.

God is so merciful.  We all have struggled with secret sin.  Whatsoever is not of faith is sin.  The shame comes in our believing we cannot be forgiven and Satan's condemnation.  What we expose to the light is defeated by the Blood of Jesus.  I believe confession is good for the soul, however we need to use wisdom in who we confess to and what we confess.  Sometimes we can find a confidential mature Christian to share a struggle with and other times it would not be prudent to share but to wait upon the Lord.  I have been very fortunate in my life to have people I could trust to share my struggles but not everyone has that during the time of shame.  I will pray for you to find a safe place of trust.  Know that there is nothing new under the sun and that we all stand at an even place at Calvary.  You may try to find a Celebrate Recovery program in your area, you can google online and see what churches host this Christian recovery program.  People go there for all kinds of challenges, and let's be honest most Christians struggle with at least one life controlling problem that we need help overcoming with the assistance of prayer and support from other Christians.  Will be praying for you!  I so understand!  Gladys

I want to tell someone. I just don't want to be viewed as crazy. Trying to discern who to confess this to is a good idea. A very good idea.

Celebrate Recovery? The sin isn't an addiction like alcohol...If I told the people at a Celebrate Recovery...I'm afraid they may think I'm crazy.

Celebrate Recovery deals with addictions and also any problem in our lives that keeps us from living a joyful, victorious life.  So it doesn't matter if it is codependency, sexual sin, addictions of any kind or anger, unforgiveness, gossip etc.  That is what I like about it, the program includes any Christian who wants to grow in God.
