Hi

Hope all is well.  When you have a moment to yourself, read this, and please know that I am so grateful to have you in my life.  It was difficult for me to decide who I thought would DO this because many people claim to pray, but not everyone does.  I hope I chose the right twelve.  Please send this back to me (You'll see why).  May everyone who receives this message be blessed.

There is nothing attached.  Just send this to twelve others.  Prayer is one of the best…

Arise And Walk

To grow as a Christian means to become closer and develop a more intimate relationship with God.

This relationship begins when we are born into His family -

when we ask Him to forgive our sins through faith in Jesus and begin what is intended to be an eternal communion of love.

He desires for us to trust Him in ALL things and pray to Him on all occasions;

"In everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God"…

"Therefore will the Lord wait that he may be gracious unto you."

"Therefore will the Lord wait that he may be gracious unto you."

Isaiah 30:18

God often delays in answering prayer. We have several instances of this in sacred Scripture. Jacob did not get the blessing from the angel until near the dawn of day--he had to…

Does God really answer prayer?

Listen to this podcast here:  https://www.pastorwoman.net/podcast/episode/19c44f7b/does-god-really-answer-prayer-92923

A couple years ago, I was in Salt Lake City, Utah, exhausted from trying to scale a personal mountain. All alone with a little time on my hands, I went to Nordstrom to buy a new lipstick--a little embarrassing to write, but true just the…

Words of The Day

Let us Prayer;

O, God of my salvation, hide not thy face far from me. Hear O, Lord when I cry unto thee. Have mercy upon me and answer me: Be not silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

Draw me not away with the wicked, and the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbors and mischief is in their heart.   Lead me in thy truth and teach me thy way and lead me in a plain path;…

Give Thanks in Every Situation

16 Rejoice always,

17 pray without ceasing,

18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you
.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Some verses are easier to memorize than put into practice. If we could simply remove a word or two, God’s commands would seem so much easier to accomplish. Giving thanks is easy, but giving thanks in everything is a nearly impossible task. Often gratitude seems inappropriate, considering the depth of… Continue

Laughter-itis or Pucker-itis

Laughter-itis Or Pucker-itis By: James Cook

Now what sort of title is this? Well, to define laughter - look in the mirror, to define itis - touch a hotplate, to define pucker - suck a lemon. Itis means inflammation, so put some warmth in your laughter, and burn it into another's frown.

One of the greatest stress relievers God has given us is laughter. Laughter-itis restores what pressures in life have stolen. Proverbs 17:22 puts it this way, "A happy heart is like a good… Continue

Fear of.....

Fear can and will stop us in our tracks. Rightly so at times. Because fear, healthy fear can keep us alive. Fear can and will also stop us from being the people God meant us to be. Fear can come from lies that we have told ourselves or that others have told us about ourselves. Such as, "I'm just not good enough" or "Your not good enough". "I'm not smart enough"I can never help because I'm just not enough of....Whatever.

In my own life my own brokenness helped reinforce the lies that…

God's Way Is Victory

Jan 22, 2009

*God's Way is Victory*

"He holds victory in store for the upright, He is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for He guards the course of the just and protects the way of His faithful ones" (Proverbs 2:7-8, NIV).

On a daily basis our number one enemy, or best friend can be ourselves, toward ourselves. Within our occupations, our personal lives, and just life in its self , our attitude and thoughts can determine our success, or failure in our efforts trying to… Continue

What God Expects US to Know

Through general observation, I noticed Christians frequently suffer from self-induced conceptual confinement regarding how they should engage life’s ordinary challenges. Moreover, I hereby publically acknowledge that I am one of those afflicted. To explain, we allow apprehension to torment us. Then decide we want to receive an answer directly from God to the question…what is my destiny? Such a simple question, yet it embodies tremendous consequence. The question usually lingers until… Continue

Who'd wanna be a Teacher?

A friend and I have been doing a study on James via email. It's been quite an adventure!! I must share some insights from chapters 1 and 2 sometime. Things like counting it all joy when trouble comes... and not being double-minded ... and faith without works is dead... etc.

Anyhow, that will have to wait, because now we're up to another sticky topic in chapter 3. The first verse certainly made me take a step back. Here's James 3, verses 1… Continue

Acts of Faith

ACTS OF FAITH

by Gary Wilkerson

Once the apostle Peter was miraculously freed from prison (see Acts 12:7-11),

he went to the house of prayer to report the miracle to those who had been

interceding for him. As Peter knocked, the group was still fervently praying

inside. They had no idea how effective their prayers for their brother had

been.

Indeed,…
