Galatians 5:7-12 The Life of a Christian is a race

The life of a Christian is a race, wherein he must run, and hold on, if he would obtain the prize. It is not enough that we profess Christianity, but we must run well, by living up to that profession. Many who set out fairly in religion, are hindered in their progress, or turn out of the way. It concerns those who begin to turn out of the way, or to tire in it, seriously to inquire what hinders them. The opinion or persuasion, Gal 5:8,…

Good News about Heaven! John 14.1-3

Good News about Heaven!  “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that…

Evil for Good, Good for Evil

I try to keep from editorializing in my blog as much as I can. I enjoy writing about God's Word and lessons we as Christians can learn from it. But last week I was very disheartened by a company that, up until now, had taken a bold, Christian stance on the subject of traditional marriage. Then last week they decided to remain silent on the issue and, as a statement from…

What If? (Again)

What if the time comes that you need to give all you have? What if God ask you to give it all? Will you give it just like our God did, when He gave his only Son for us? Will you give all your time, even it will take your time with your family, yourself and even to be with your love ones? Yesterday I started to read the 1 week plan for reading the bible; it is started from the start where Jesus was born. I really want to start reading from that kind of start, when all things have begun. It…

Prayer For The Day

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for all of the things You are doing in my life. Lord, I do want to have a listening and obedient ear to all You are speaking to me. Lord, help me to obey quickly when You speak to me to do something. Lord, I do want to overcome my flesh and walk in the spirit and always have faith and trust in You. I choose to do it Your way and not mine, no matter what the cost, as I want to go all the way with You. Remove anything from my heart that would hinder my walk…

Galatians 5:1-6

Christ will not be the Saviour of any who will not own and rely upon him as their only Saviour. Let us take heed to the warnings and persuasions of the apostle to stedfastness in the doctrine and liberty of the gospel. All true Christians, being taught by the Holy Spirit, wait for eternal life, the reward of righteousness, and the object of their hope, as the gift of God by faith in Christ; and not for the sake of their own works. The Jewish convert might observe the ceremonies or assert his…

You want to hear something ironic?

I checked my email. The next baptism service is Oct. 28th...isn't it ironic since it's 3 days before Halloween? I wonder how mad you-know-who is right now. :D

We also know somebody who is suppose to have her baby in that month.

Wow, Oct. is a busy month...

I just wonder if God planted that baptism day on purpose...

Wouldn't it be something if the baby was born the same time they were performing baptisms?

Wow, just…

Christianity..

I have realized that Christianity is not a religion, it is the relationship you have with God. Am I wrong or right?

Then am I Strong

Tough times come and leave me wrung.

Troubles take over and leave me under.
Disappointments hover and make me cower.
But through it all,

I've learnt to make myself fit for all circumstances;
To walk through crannies and along wide spaces
And come out hurt but strong.

Prayer For The Day

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You, Lord, for all of the wonderful things You have done for me! I do appreciate each and every one of them. Lord, I do want to always remain humble, not only in Your sight, but in the sight of men, as well. May I have the grace to be a servant to others and not to think of myself more highly than anyone else, as every child of God is important in Your sight. Not one of Your children is more important than another. We are all important, because we belong to…

Campbell’s Soup Truth. ~ a little Fall tune-up on our thinking!

Hello.

I was sitting across the office from him, and inquired how he was doing . . . truthfully, looking at his furrowed brows, it was obvious how he was feeling. He hesitated, choosing his words with care—“Freedom. I need freedom.” “What do you mean?” I quietly asked. “Well, mostly I need freedom from all of the things pressing in on me, and then from the things my mind keeps telling me.” He was operating in a high-stress mode, trying to manage it, but his mind and…

How God Sees You

How God Sees You

March 28, 2007

Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. (Colossians 3:12-14 NIV)

We find powerful words of encouragement in…

Poem: Comes the Rain

Water laden clouds burst!

Here now, comes the rain,

but I’m loving the ‘liquid sunshine’

and ignoring the weather’s torrential bane.

Despite deluges of Life’s storms,

enjoy humanity and have some fun.

Now comes the rain, washing over us anew,

as the Spirit of the Father’s Son.

Now comes the reign of Christ -

Embrace Him and His Holiness!

Be protected by the Rock’s cleft

and submerged under His Righteousness.

Be always filled with His…

Poem: Draw Closer to God

Draw closer to God

and He will draw nigh unto thee,

provided you’re willing to…

demonstrate actual honesty.

For He can always see

intentions written upon one’s heart.

Stop playing games and come clean;

otherwise, His Spirit may soon depart.

Jehovah transcends the boundaries of time;

So to Him, there is nothing new under the sun.

Start by freely accepting Salvation’s gift,

which was provided by the Divine One.

One can keep His…

Give thanks to our God

Some people say we are destined for something. Some people say let it be done to the will of the Lord. But isn't just our excuse from being responsible for our life? Yes, God has a plan for us. But God also give us a mind to think, the privilege to choose and to decide for our own life. God love us so much that He didn’t want us to be a puppet or something that He can control. That’s why He gave us freedom to choose how we will fulfill our own lives. But even though we have the freedom to…

Gospel Subversion

Rise up, be controversial, and take a stand for the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is intended to stir things up. It is intended to rise up. It is intended to challenge and cause each of us to examine ourselves and allow God to work in our lives and take us to places that will allow us to answer the call to “love and serve one…
