Galatians 4:28-31

The history thus explained is applied. So then, brethren, we are not children of the bond-woman, but of the free. If the privileges of all believers were so great, according to the new covenant, how absurd for the Gentile converts to be under that law, which could not deliver the unbelieving Jews from bondage or condemnation! We should not have found out this allegory in the history of Sarah and Hagar, if it had not been shown to us, yet we cannot doubt it was intended by the Holy Spirit. It…

Galatians 4:21-27 The difference between believers who rested in Christ

The difference between believers who rested in Christ only, and those who trusted in the law, is explained by the histories of Isaac and Ishmael. These things are an allegory, wherein, beside the literal and historical sense of the words, the Spirit of God points out something further. Hagar and Sarah were apt emblems of the two different dispensations of the covenant. The heavenly Jerusalem, the true church from above, represented by Sarah, is in a state of freedom, and is the mother of all…

Poem: The Dark Heretic

In diligent search of God

was the dark heretic,

a master of the natural world

and our father of modern physics.

In defiance of the Church

stood Sir Isaac Newton alone,

cloistered in his office, clinging…

To personal beliefs, of his own.

Interest in “The End Times”

was his lifelong, secret mission -

His papers were intentionally hidden,

from recognizing the gravity of his situation.

In the study of Divine Prophesy,

Newton…

Poem: When Will You Come?

Oh my Lord –

When will You come?

Will I be found, before my earthly life is done?

Will I experience Your Resurrection Power

and observe how sin You have conquered & devoured?

It’s a win-win scenario, for me, in any case –

As I long to see Your radiance, revealed at Heaven’s pace.

To enter Your gates with humble willingness

is real, knowing that I’m clothed by Your Righteousness.

When will You come?

Will I be found, before…

Challenged

We all face challenges in our lives. Some of these challenges come from the world we live in, some come from the devil, and some even come from the Lord. As Christians, we are not of this world. The devil is under our feet. How do we know that the devil is under our feet? We know this by the Word of God that says we are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus; Jesus is seated at the right hand of Father God, and the Word also tells us that God makes His enemies, His footstool. So, if we…

I'm insecure

Ok, I realize something. I'm a very insecure person. I apolijize way too much...

I remember when I was little I apolijized/said "thank you" way too much. Mrs. S., I was in her speech therapy class, told me oneday I don't need to (insert whatever it was I said) say that all the time or whatever.

Mom has told me I apolijize way too much before. And I realize she's right. I find I have to say "I'm sorry" or "I apolijize" more than is usually needed. For some…

A prayer at 1:00 am.

I am tired papa. I awoke with thirst and pain. I came to you for comfort and you gave it to me in your word for us. Calm my heart, and keep me close. Every breath a gift. Every beat of my heart a celebration of life. Tired again I will rest in your spirit. For now I can not rest. My work is not done. Fill me papa with what you want for me. Show me the path I need to take. There is wisdom to be gained in every moment you…

One fish died...we got a new family member though.

I went to the store with dad. I came back. One of the fish died...poor thing. I said Psalm 27:1 after/around the time of the "burial" (a.k.a it got flushed). It's so earie to see something that was once alive...now dead.

R.I.P little one. You're in the Lord's hands. If He cares about a sparrow than I know He seen you.

We got a new family member, I think we got her (I'm pretty sure it's a girl) a week from yesterday.

Zion Train: I Saw Jesus Last Night

I SAW JESUS LAST NIGHT

By Joy Olotu Stephen

29th Aug 2012

In a night vision, I saw someone walking briskly as if on an urgent business. I immediately knew it was the Lord Jesus. How did I arrive at this conclusion since He was not putting on a long white robe? It was a knowing which I would call, “Spiritual perception”. He was smartly dressed in a pair of white trousers and a…

Make Haste!!

In one of my favorite Andy Griffith Show episodes, a visiting pastor tells the congregation to “Slow down. What's your hurry?” The citizens of Mayberry tried so hard to slow down, they wore themselves out.

We should slow down from time to time and take in all of God's beauty and…

Growth

Growth in the Lord is vital. It begins with faith and then culminates into love for others. To keep growing we need to know and focus our total mind on our God. We need to keep following him and continual to remember what he is teaching us from his Holy word. Let us remain diligent in a faithful obedience to our God.

Poem: Outside the Windy City

Outside the Windy City

lives the Lady Finnegan -

Carol dearly loves the Lord Jehovah

and is a part of His earthly plan.

Her heart has been pierced

by God's Holy Spirit;

for she placed her life before Him

and has chosen to submit.

Her adoration for the King

has burst forth with heart's joy,

from reading her great nephew's literature

within the borders of Illinois.

Now she's become God's messenger

via her gifts of Joe's…
