He is Coming...

Joshua Landberg

My children

today is the time for rejoicing

the time of your trials is almost done

the veil is being lifted

the heavens are about to open

the former things are passing away

behold I make all things…

Best Day Ever … what will I see?

Best Day Ever … what will I see?

Since I made the claim that the ‘best day ever’ is the day we see the Lord’s face -- the day we draw our last breath on earth and our first in Heaven… perhaps we need to take a closer look. After all, there is no greater hope than the hope of Heaven, God’s promised destination for those who love him.

So what is Heaven like?

In Heaven, there is no sickness or pain or suffering.

There is no cancer, no diseases, no…

WHAT IF !

What if truth is gone, that no person speaks it anymore,

misdirecting those who are seeking, instead of rich making poor,

Instead of being open and welcome its closed like a fortress,

shut cut off to those outside crying in distress.

As for Me this is My promise to them, My Holy Spirit will never leave them,

they that want the good and hate the wrong, take no rest all You who pray,

what if the doors of My House were flung open this…

I want to glorify Jesus in my sufferings

I feel broken or getting very close to it. Not in a way like when I was 14 [bullied to the point of being suicidal]. No, this is different...By broken I mean mentally and physically. I have to accept the fact that I can't do this on my own. I'm not strong, I realize that. It takes me longer to understand things. When I was in school the other students may have got it but it would possibly take me longer to grasp. So much of my life I've been socially clumsy. I'd cause trouble even if I…

Live.....Life......Leave

http://myreadywriter.blogspot.com

I was reading about the life of Albert Einstein the other day and I was shocked to know that after he died , His brain was removed and preserved by the pathologist in an attempt to know what made him so unique, intelligent and such a genius. He was the theoretical physicist who developed one of the two pillars of the modern day…

Poem: Temptations

Why is it, that the vilest of temptations

seek to violate my mind, during moments…

of weakness, solitude and prayer time?

Is it not enough that my inner person

has been consumed with the filth of my flesh?

How much longer must I wait for the body

of incorruption that will suit me in eternity?

Though I can’t seem to stop sinning,

is it wrong to want to curb its unwanted flow?

These temptations appeal to my carnality,

but I find their continuing stream…

Poem: On the Road to… Emmaus?

Have times really changed that much,

since the crucifixion of The Christ?

People still discuss personal opinions,

looking to find meanings within life –

with some reference point, relative to Him.

Are we any different than Cleopas,

when we latch onto Christ’s name,

desiring our prayers to be answered,

hoping never to be spiritually the same?

Are we able to sing new songs and hymns?

How are we occupying the time of our lives?

Are we on the…

Minute meditation for each day (80)

“In Your hands is my destiny.” Ps.31:16

Reflection:

Everything is in God’s hands: my earthly life, its length, its circumstances, everything that happens whether good or bad, its trials and events.

Therefore, my life is in good Hands which will protect and guard me with eternal wisdom and love, with lasting faithfulness and mercy. How can I now fear anything?

Prayer:

“My Heavenly Father, You always will what is best for me. Guide me to my own good, according to…

The Bible Before Printing, Introduction and Tentative Index

As I was working on the on-going project to digitize my notes, writings and files over the years, it came to me I had a large collection of materials to do a presentation for AAG members that might be interested on the process of bookmaking as it developed along with the History of the Bible itself as a book. Indeed, much of the early bookmaking and scribal arts was tailored exclusively towards the production of the…

I want them to know...

Next month on the 29th, Jesus will have saved me three years ago.

I don't know how to explain to so many people...my parents and uncles for example. I feel like I'm in some kind of box. The moment He saved me I didn't run to my parents and shout that Jesus gave me eternal life!

I can't really bring up a topic unless someone mentions about it first. That's why I haven't blurted out that Jesus gave me eternal life to my loved ones. That's how I've been like my…

Prayer For The Day!

Dear Heavenly Father,I thank You for the godly men and women that you put me under in my life to teach me Your ways and learn a submissive spirit. Lord, I desire to always walk in submission, and not yield to the temptation of wanting my way. Lord, I know at times, that I may be right about something, but Lord,…

Shocking contrasts. Ephesians 2.1-7

Shocking contrasts.  Ephesians 2.1-7

Shocking.  The stark contrast at the Boston Marathon finish line is nothing less than shocking.  Exhilarated runners had ‘broken the tape,’ enjoying the elation of finishing, and finishing well.  Soon on their heels were deafening blasts that split the sky, and the very souls of men, as evil…
