This post comes as a result of a book I have been reading entitled " God's Dream Team". As the writer speaks about getting our hearts and priorities right to serve the Lord he mentions the subject of Jesus' unanswered prayer. He takes his text from John 17: 20 - 21

I was reading in Joshua the other day and was reminded of a sometimes over looked ( at least in my life ) priciple that God wants us to deal with if we're to maintain the fellowship with Him that He , as well as we should, desire.

I discovered ( or should I say 'the Lord lead me to AAG ) a year ago last week. During the last year I've been going through many trying times as we all have I'm sure. About a month or so ago the Paastor of my church asked me to prepare a message( for lack of a better word) for a Thursday night service in July. I presented what the Lord has been dealing with me about last Thursday night.

An old proverb states that " Friends are those who relate so closely to each other that when one cries the others tastes salt" .

When I first came across this proverb I was confused as to what it could possibly mean. Then it occurred to me , as it should to anyone who is a friend or parent.

So many times we have sought and found comfort in this precious promise that the Lord left for us.It' is one of the most precious promises he gave.

However , I wonder how many times we manage to ' forget ' that promise when we are thinking about or doing something that we are not supossed to be thinking about or doing? Remember the part about "never leaving"?
