All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Hello sisters/brothers! I really need your help :( I hope you will pray for me, it's been 2 years since I visited this Christ-filled online community. I noticed with God's help, that my heart has not been really attached to Him :( I gotta be honest, I know it's hard but I have to swallow my pride and admit that I fell short of His glory :( I have this spirit of heaviness. Please pray for me to MAKE  A QUALITY TIME WITH MY JESUS AND MY FAMILY. I'm really into putting first things which don't have eternal values :( please help me pray for this. I need to get back to my first Love. He is all I need. Thanks, I know it's hard but God will help me out of this.

Put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness…….Isa.61:3

Praying

Sayness,

I am reminded of an occasion when my grandson was sitting on the steps crying. His mother asked me what was wrong. He said, "Gammy is mad with me".

I have been it that situation where I wanted to sit on steps and cry that God was mad with me. In fact, I still have those occasions. The most important thing is when we realize that we have displeased God and we repent of that error that cause the displeasure. *I'm sorry* goes a long way in righting a wrong.

Blessings to you as you continue to find peace with God......

Rita

Sister just turn around He is right there.  He is calling you to come and rest, under His Protection.

Sayness,

God will help you out of this. It is hard to leave behind those things we are familiar with and bring us false or worldly pleasure. But if you keep seeking a closer relationship with the Lord he will respond to you. When he does, in time, He will change your heart and teach you how to find pleasure in doing His will.

You have fallen short, just as everyone else has. If we were perfect we wouldn't need a savior.

God knows your heart, be honest with him and yourself. Tell Him how you feel and ask for His guidance. Then open your heart to Him and allow it to be changed.

I try everyday to do as He asks but fall short. When I reflect back on my day I always come up with something I didn't do or shouldn't have done. I then ask the Lord to forgive me and help me to do better tomorrow.

Sanctification is a process. He has spoken to you asking for a closer relationship. It probably will not happen in an instant. You will go through times when you will feel close to God and times when you wonder why He feels so distant. I look at those distant times as tests to see if I will walk away from Him. When they happen, I pray even harder and trust the Lord. Usually I find it was me who was ignoring Him, not the other way around.

You have my prayers. Lord I ask that you watch over our sister. Send your angels charge over her, cause you face to shine upon her and fill her with your spirit. Please Lord, create in Sayness a burning desire to draw close to You. In Jesus name. Amen.

Love and Blessings

Gary.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Know this: that it's God who searches us out; knows, loves, and cares about each of us individually, intimately, and passionately. His greatest desire is to have a relationship with you and me.

God so loves each and every one of us that he gave his only Son “so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.” (John 3.16)

“Don’t be afraid,” God tells Abraham, “I am your shield, and your reward shall be very great.” Abraham’s not afraid, but he’s no paradigm of blind faith either. So he takes Abraham outside and whispers, “Look toward heaven and count the stars …” After that, the Bible tells us, Abraham “believed the Lord.” (Genesis 15:1).

We don’t know exactly what happened out there to change Abraham’s mind. We can only imagine that he was so awe-filled by the magnificence of the night sky and the abundance of stars that he was overwhelmed by God’s loving presence. We can imagine that Abraham suddenly found himself feeling quite small as he took in the impossible enormity of infinity; that he was profoundly humbled by the realization that God is, after all God. “All this, and He cares about me?” he must have marveled. Abraham had a felt experience of God’s love.

That famous line from the letter to the Hebrews tells us that, “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Or as another translation has it, “Faith gives substance to our hopes and convinces us of the realities we can not see" (11:1).

For “thinking” Christians to have faith, we need to be really intentional about doing things to pry open our hearts for the experience of God’s love. We need to make space in the clutter of our lives for felt experiences of God’s love—heart felt experiences—that we can savor, recall, and relive, when we’re frightened by the inevitable doubts that sometimes seize us, by darkness, or by despair. This is God’s desire for all of us!
