I was brought up to follow Christ...

Transfigure us, O Lord, transfigure us, O Lord

Break the chains that bind us; speak your healing word,

and where you lead we'll follow. Transfigure us, O Lord.

Down from heights of glory into the depths below,

the love of God self-emptied, the love of God to show.

You light the path before us, the way that we must go.

Thoughts on prayer . . . from you, from me

I like to hear from other people on the journey--people who want God in their lives--who are endeavoring to think deeper, truer thoughts, and turn them into prayer. . . I have included some of the responses to my questions: How is your prayer life? What are your challenges? What is most meaningful to you? Where do you lack? The responses below were from women and men~

>I seem to pray more when things are not going as well. I know…

must Trust Him all the same.

I am excited today, not because what I have been standing for came to pass, but because they have not yet. No, I do not have a fever. Let me explain, bear w/ me a moment I need to set a few things up first. I have a neighbor who has gotten angry w/ me, not sure why but about a year ago stopped waving, etc. Not going to get in to why I think, but that is enough to know. Arnette and I are trusting God for a few things, no need…

Prayer . . . getting connected to God

What is your definition of prayer?  ‘Talking to God.’  Well, sure--but the first time Scripture recorded someone was talking to God, it was Eve, lying to him, in Genesis 3.10. Was that prayer, then? Not really.  So then perhaps we need to broaden our description of prayer . . . so let’s give it some thought.…

I was brought up to follow Christ...

I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry.

All who dwell in dark and sin My hand will save.

I, who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright.

Who will bear my light to them: Whom shall I send?

Here I am Lord. Is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night.

I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will…

What i know this far about hope and fear

What i know this far about Hope and Fear

Hope and fear are not that much apart, it only matter in where your trust is

I know you can Hope in God and Fear Him at the same time

I know if you hope in satan, you need to fear God more

If you fear satan, the cure is to Hope in God

I have seen Hope, change a fearful person

I have seen a hopeful person change, because of fear

Hope and fear can fuel a person to do great…

puzzle pieces

The other day, Holy Ghost laid a phrase on me. The Spirit told me,“ I hand out puzzle pieces,” that it was one of my gifts As you might guess, the Spirit at that point had my undivided attention. The Spirit said, “ all have a picture of who they are in Christ. A perfected image of themselves, one humbled before the Lord, the ‘Masters Pieces, of Love.’ Father God put that image in us, Jesus died and rose again for that image, and Holy…

ZION TRAIN: The Heavens Opened (Part 7)

The Heavens Opened (Part 7)

By Anna Rountree

(Continuation)

He Comes:

Immediately ahead of us on the path was a burning light. Hundreds of spirits surrounded this brilliance, darting in and lifting out like eagles catching heat currents. They were flying with the light as if escorting it. So bright was this great light that it reduced the spirits to silver outlines of themselves in its radiance. It reminded me of figures passing in front of bright…

The Battle... in storms and w/ weapons

I have been sharing these, w/ friends.  I was asked to post them here also.  They are slightly edited, since those parts are not for here.  I trust you find them encouraging as I and others have. The point of these note and the others are to remind us, first God Loves us, second God is in control.  The Battle belong to the Lord.  I pray that knowledge builds confidence and shed light on what you face this…

Trust in Christ Alone. Philippians 3.1-11

Had prison made Paul crazy?  I mean, maybe when Paul was stoned or flogged, he had been hit in the head one too many times. . . maybe he just was not thinking straight any longer, because he advised the Philippians, ‘No matter what, >My brothers and sisters, be full of joy in the Lord. …

Archeological find proves that the early Christians used mosaic icons to honour their Saints

Discoveries at Megiddo Prison

The recent discovery in Israel of a structure that may have served as a Christian church in the third or fourth century has captured the imagination of early Christian scholars, archaeologists, and the laity. Discovered during a preliminary dig prior to new construction at the Megiddo Prison, the 6 x 9-meter floor contained three Greek inscriptions that mention a centurion, three women, and a female benefactor. In addition to the mosaic floor, dwellings…
