A humbling profession is
Biblical archaeology,
where people are found prostrate -
Searching for glimpses of Man's history.
Forgotten souls and evidence have been
covered by layers of earthly dust,
as recent discoveries now include...
The decoding of Israel's "Exodus".
An eclectic collection of artifacts
of the "Hyksos Expulsion" have been laid bare
by Simcha, the "Naked Archaeologist",
on TV's "The History Channel"…

Any Christian surveying the current state of modern poetry could easily become discouraged, given that much of that poetry can only be categorized as nihilistic. At worst, such poems seemingly promote despair and violence-against society, the church, or even against oneself. At best, they consist of self-centered whining and…

'' THE LORD IS RIGHTEOUS IN ALL HIS WAYS,GRACIOUS IN ALL HIS WORKS.
THE LORD IS NEAR TO ALL WHO CALL UPON HIM,TO ALL WHO CALL UPON HIM IN TRUTH .
HE WILL FULFILL THE DESIRE OF THOSE WHO FEAR HIM ;
HE ALSO WILL HEAR THEIR CRY AND SAVE THEM .
THE LORD PRESERVES ALL WHO LOVE HIM,BUT ALL THE WICKED HE WILL DESTROY ''

The design of what follows is plain. It is to exalt our views respecting the blessings Christ has procured for us, by comparing them with the evil which followed upon the fall of our first father; and by showing that these blessings not only extend to the removal of these evils, but far beyond. Adam sinning, his nature became guilty and corrupted, and so came to his children. Thus in him all have sinned. And death is by sin; for death is the wages of sin. Then entered all that misery which…

In today’s society, many people have accepted mediocrity as the norm. They do as little as they can to get by, always looking for the easy way out. If the boss isn’t watching, they’re playing on the computer. They simply go to work to pick up a paycheck, then wonder why they’re not promoted and don’t see increase. It’s because God doesn’t…

Acts 4:12 And salvation is in none other, for neither is there another name under heaven which is given among men by which we must be saved.
Peter being filled with the Holy Ghost, would have all to understand, that the miracle had been wrought by the name, or power, of Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah, whom they had crucified; and this confirmed their testimony to his resurrection from the dead, which proved him to be the Messiah. These rulers must either be saved by that Jesus…

I think it's happened to all of us at one time or another. A Christmas gift we have been given has to be exchanged. Maybe it's the wrong size, color, or maybe we already have one just like it, received from the year before. Another reason some exchange a gift is because it didn't come from one of the more “upscale” stores. Even though the gift is given with love, we want one more suited to our needs and off we go to exchange it. We stand in very long lines to return it and get something we…

God doesn’t desire more of our time, sometime, He desires more of our attention all the time.

Paul's letter to the Philippians is one hundred and four verses filled with encouragement and joy. Paul didn't write this letter to explain deep theology or to deal with any particular sin. Rather, his purpose was to express love for his friends and to encourage them (and us) to live a joy-filled Christian life.
In chapter one, Paul encourages us that God's work in us WILL continue;
"He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion"…

"Look! How many are lost! My Church is sleeping despite the fact that She has received my power; She has my word and the Holy Spirit, but She is sleeping. On earth there are people who preach that HELL does not exist. Go and tell them that this place is real".

Everybody deserves a second chance. Hatred in your heart will only bring death. Be slow to anger and judgment, or judgment shall come upon you. Always care for one another. Love others as you would love yourselves.
Have a caring and loving heart, just like Jesus and reach out to others.
Be compassionate towards others. Don’t judge a person by their looks.
Go and preach the Gospel in His wisdom, because you must be wise
in everything you do. Be on fire for…

1Ch 16:34 ‘O give thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; For his loving-kindness’ endureth for ever.
Though God's word and ordinances may be clouded and eclipsed for a time, they shall shine out of obscurity. This was but a tent, a humble dwelling, yet this was the tabernacle which David, in his psalms, often speaks of with so much affection. David showed himself generous to his subjects, as he had found God gracious to him. Those whose hearts are enlarged with holy joy, should…

To grow as a Christian means to become closer and develop a more intimate relationship with God.
This relationship begins when we are born into His family -
when we ask Him to forgive our sins through faith in Jesus and begin what is intended to be an eternal communion of love.
He desires for us to trust Him in ALL things and pray to Him on all occasions;
"In everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God"…
