Why Practice?

So exercise yourself spiritually and practice being a better Christian…” 1 Timothy 4:8, TLB

Someone once said that practice does not make perfect; practice makes habit. It is your spiritual exercises—prayer, Bible reading, meditation—that prepare you to act like Christ. When you make a consistent, conscious effort to show his love and patience, you can be assured that even your smallest acts will be Christlike. Practice leads to good—and Godly—habits!

Sister Sandra,

I really like your words - "When you make a consistent, conscious effort.................... "

Beautiful.

Reminds me of Romans 12:1, "Brethren, by the mercies of God, I beseech you to offer your bodies, a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."

Your post tells us that when our "smallest acts are Christlike".........God is glorified. Amen.

Grace and Peace.
