Be A Good Example
Taken from Pastor Joel Osteen Live Like A Champion
You are always ministering to those around you. Even though you may not be behind a pulpit, your life is your sermon. People watch how you live, how you respond to adversity, how consistent you are and how you treat the people around you. God calls us to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth. This simply means that the way we live should make other people want to be around us and have what we…

Abandonment and Degradation
Intimately held hatred and animosity
Drawing my rapt attention
They danced on the edge of memory
Their dance was spellbinding
And my wrath did swell within
When suddenly I realized
I had been taken in
They circled themselves around me
And gripped each others hands
They sang to me their song
And encouraged me to dance
I began to sway slowly
To the hypnotic pulse they played
But…

Answer: What does it mean that God is love? First we will look at how God's Word, the Bible, describes "love," and then we will see a few ways that it applies to God. "Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not want what belongs to others. It does not brag. It is not proud. It is not rude. It does not look out for its own interests. It does not easily become angry. It does not keep track of other people's wrongs. Love is not happy with evil; but it is full of joy when the truth is spoken. It…

My gorgeous daughter Nena was born 8 years ago on Valentines Day. I can't think of a better gift. No box of chocolate, flowers, jewelry or cards could ever be more special than this precious PRECOCIOUS child. Mind you as a single mom, the idea of chocolate, flowers, jewelry or cards would not even be an option (not that I ever got them while I was married or dating for that matter...in fact even in school I was the kid that got no valentines in…

What are the Current Living Generations Like?
Note: I am in San Diego this week working in SPAWAR.
"21" is a book about Blackjack. It is a best seller and will soon be a movie. The story is that a bunch of MIT students in the mid-1990s start a BlackJack club and over time, they assault the large casino BlackJack tables and come away with millions of dollars. These college kids are brilliant; their math skills translate into the ability to simultaneously track 6 to 8 hands…

The Exorcism of Emily Rose and the legion of Exorcist films raise important questions about the spiritual realm. Having personally witnessed what I believe was a very real exorcism with very real demons, my answer to the question is "yes."
"My mom's completely flipped out. I mean, she sees demons everywhere. Just this morning the car died on the way to school. She got out, pounded on the hood, and yelled, 'In the name of Jesus, I command the foul spirits of engine stalling to come…

This is the 1st full week home for Nena and Edward. They have been away from me for 1 year and 2 mos. How they managed to be as wonderful as they are and as OKAY as they are is a gift to my sanity from God. My daughters resiliance is a tribute to the resiliance of the women in my family (apparently). My birth mother went through many tragedies, my sister has lived through many many tragedies, I have lived through well you get the point....TRAGEDY!!!!
Nena started…

I watched the Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring last night. It is the first time I watched it since I rededicated my life to Christ and it would appear that even my perspective on everything I watch draws me to analyze things from a Christian point of view. It would appear that I have many similar characteristics to Frodo and Bilbo Baggins.
How so????....If you are asking this, wow you are reading my blog and I am honored. I am really going to be using…

I am studying Daniel right now using the Beth Moore Study series. I am so grateful for that amazing lady. God has so blessed her and me through her. I wish I could touch lives in a powerful way for the glory of God, but I realize how lucky I really am that fame has not been something God chose for…

Alive today are five different generations of Americans looking with increasing angst at the current election cycle. Politics is actually a window into deeper issues. Resolution of these issues will define the Saeculum in which we live. Before we take these thoughts further, lets examine some terminology and define the five different generations.…

God's Word is unlike any other book. The Bible is a roadmap for life here on earth and for life eternal. As Christians, we are called upon to study God's Holy Word, to trust its promises, to follow its commandments, and to share its Good News with the world.

I have been dealing with hurt and disappointments for a couple of years. I have found only temporary relief in Man and earthly things. Why haven't I put my cares in The Man who created me? I have been searching other "comunities" to find "friends" to keep me out of my head with negative thoughts. Yesterday I chatted for the first time with a gentleman who sent me to Prayer?! He said that the site I was on was not the place for me. He felt I may come across the wrong person, that would take me…
