Have you ever noticed how someone’s behavior might change in a matter of seconds? Have you ever asked yourself why?
Let me start by telling you this important fact; it is not in seconds that a person changes moods. It might seem like it, but it’s not.
Every person is different; I’m talking about different attitudes, characters, emotions, feelings, believes, motives, etc. It’s very difficult to judge a person, much less try to analyze his/her behavior.
Here are some other reasons…

While meditating on God’s Word, a couple of passages kept coming to mind. I read both passages in different translations and it ministered to my life in such an awesome way. Let me share them with you all.
John 15:16-17 says, ”You didn’t choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won’t spoil. As fruit bearer, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, He gives you. But remember the root command: Love one another.”
Isaiah 43:1 …” But now,… Continue

When I found out the real meaning of Grace, I literally got really excited. It gave me a sense of comfort that I never felt before. I felt as if wasn’t guilty about anything anymore. It gave me a new desire to really worship God with all my heart. Man, Grace is amazing! Where would we be if it wasn’t for God’s grace?
The other side of the coin is that if we are not careful, we might become passive Christians; totally contrary to what our heavenly Father expects of us. Let me share couple…

While sleeping on a hot midsummer night in 2007, I had a learning experience… it, huh! … Well! Let me find the right words... It was about 11:15pm I had just gotten to bed, the lights were off, when suddenly!!! I heard a mosquito buzzing over my ear. I didn’t think of anything, until it kept happening more and more. Then I thought “This guy is going to have a picnic tonight if I don’t stop him”. So, I turned the light on and started to look for the mosquito. I had made up my mind that I wasn’t…

Listen to pain. Pain is discomfort created by disorder. Pain is not always an
enemy; sometimes it is a messenger -- a warning. If things are going wrong in your
body, take it seriously. If things are going wrong in your life, take it seriously.
If you are living with constant and chronic pain in your body, don't medicate it
, don't learn to live with it -- change it! It's time for a new beginning.
As you seek the Lord and desire to serve Him more, are you considering…

MÜLLER, GEORGE (1805–1898)
Leader in the Plymouth Brethren movement; founder of Christian orphanages.
Among the greatest monuments of what can be accomplished through simple faith in God are the great orphanages covering thirteen acres of ground on Ashley Downs, Bristol, England. When God put it into the heart of George Muller to build these orphanages, he had only two shillings (50 cents) in his pocket. Without making his wants known to any man, but to God alone, over a million, four…

It's a stinkin' hot day here. About 37C!! No energy to do anything much, so watching TV seemed a good option.
I came in at the end of an old war movie about Nazi Germany. (Don't ask me the name of the movie.) A trial was on, and a young German soldier (the accused) was giving his defense. He spoke a message to the youth of Germany. It started out with words that pleased his accusers, saying that he had learned his lesson about rebelling against the authorities.
But he…

Jesus said:
"Do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ." (Mat 23:10)
What did He mean by that??
Obviously, there ARE teachers in the Church. Isn't it one of the spiritual gifts? We read in other parts of the Bible that God gave some to be teachers, along with apostles, prophets, evangelists, and pastors. (See Eph 4:11.)
Perhaps the important word in what Jesus said is CALLED.
"Don't be CALLED teachers." God might place us…

I'm sitting here amazed at how the Lord works. The remarkable way He brings people together from all around the globe! People of like mind and heart! People with a love for God!
And I'm observing how we often strive to make it happen. We see the internet as a wonderful tool to spread the gospel and to unite Christians, so we try and figure out ways and methods how we can do it.
But hey, my experience is very different to that. I am so thankful for a prayer group that I am…

When we are going through circumstance in our lives , we normally asks, how long will it continue? You get into a quizz with yourself and the Father, asking Him what have I done, what must I do and how long will it be before You help me? And what we actually have to learn is, seek His face, His will, grow in our relationship with Him, for when these things become important in your life, nothing else matters and He can actually starts working in Your life and starts fulfilling His purpose in…

Somewhere in the 1950’s, Baskin-Robbins started Ice Cream Franchises that featured 31 different flavors. Even though the Chain is somewhat diminished from its peak popularity, where it continues to be operational, they advertise and boast of now having more than 1,000 flavors. Some of us grew up being very content with Vanilla, Chocolate or Strawberry – but – that was then and this is now.
It seems as though the Baskin-Robbins Concept has… Continue

Its amazing the types of things that trigger me to rededicate my life to God whenever i feel like it has been an uphill battle...
Yesterday, i had very little money in my pocket and i knew that i needed busfare for my trip to work today... I then opened my purse and saw some foreign currency that i always keep and quickly ran to the bank and changed it... and there i was with money to come to work...
When i got home, i had some me time and tried to think of what would have…

Okay, back to James 3...
"My brethren, let not many of you become teachers..." (v1)
Why does James say that? What was he referring to? What does he mean?
Well, if we go back to chapter 2, we find he was addressing the problem of partiality. It would seem that those was a real problem with snobbiness. Those who had looked down on those who didn't have.
And seeing that they thought themselves better, they presumed they should teach those who were "less…

JOHN BUNYAN (1628 - 1688)
Obstinate Preacher
John Bunyan was born in Bedforsdhire, England in 1628. Like Andrew Fuller, Bunyan came from the working class and understood poverty early in life. His early life included a good deal of degradation as well as a stint in the army. Even after he had married, Bunyan was what we would call today a wayward Christian. He later realized he was no Christian at all. The story is oft told of how Bunyan heard a sermon one Sunday morning…

TULIPOMANIA = “A violent passion for the acquisition or cultivation of tulips” -- In Holland, in the first half of the 17th century, the cultivation of tulips became a mania. It began about the year 1634, and, like a violent epidemic, seized upon all classes of the community, leading to disasters and misery such as the records of commerce or of bankruptcies can scarcely parallel. In 1636, tulip marts had been established in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Haarlem,… Continue

This is going to be a really tough semester. I'm trying to find a job, but I can't. My grandpa is probably going to be put into a nursing home soon. It's hard to watch others suffer and so many have been hit hard by the economy. Still, I am trying to see God in all this and trust his plan.
Superchick Crawl (Carry Me Through) Lyrics:
How long will this take?
How much can I go through?
My heart, my soul aches
I don't know what to do
I bend, but don't…

Just a little interlude...
I promise I will get back to the discussion about teachers ... as James says that not many of us should be teachers. So the question is who does qualify and what is the criteria for a teacher in the church? But hey, I haven't had time to get my thoughts on paper yet.
So for now, sit back and enjoy this old story!! Ya gotta love it! I used to read it to the kids, but only remembered the bit about the sky falling. I think there's some lessons in… Continue

January 19 - From Messes to Miracles
Body: "A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.
"
(Proverbs 18:7)
We have what we say. As believers, we know that's a vital biblical truth. We can see it in Mark 11:23, Matthew 21:21, James 3:2, and many other verses. Yet we often let it slip.
We allow ourselves to begin talking like the world instead of talking the Word. And eventually we get what we've been asking for--a big…
