Serena Essapour - People -- Life -- God

I find it interesting that we live in such a world. We have such knowledge, such technologies, such potential -- and yet we argue, our visions are skewed, and we increasingly start lacking compassion & empathy for one another. I believe that God loves everyone -- we are His children, we are His lambs...regardless of who we are and what we've done, He forgives us as long as we ask for the forgiveness...and as long as we truly accept our faults, and learn. Rather than worrying about God and… Continue

Serena Essapour -- Life

What is life about? Life is such a beautiful place to be in . . . . Many unfortunately get discouraged about it-- but what they don't know or realize is that life is full of surprises. Life is honestly like a never ending roller coaster ride that spins and takes you on a journey never to be forgotten. Hurdles, challenges, problems arise -- but it's okay because there is no hurdle that is unsurpassable. I believe that all individuals have the potential and capability to do anything their heart… Continue

Hurting

Everyday is starting to be more challenging then the next. I am turning to God and hoping that some releif will come my way. My relationship is still on rocky paths. I feel like everything i am doing is wrong. I feel like i am out to please everyone but my self... It is becoming to the point I want to give up. I am trying to focus on the positive though I have encountered so much negative I am really trying to out weight the good and focus on my over all happiness. It seems that my love one… Continue

THE MIND IS A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE!

Oh God! Our minds are so twisted and inter-twined with fear, pain, doubt. How do you relate to 'souls' whose minds are a 'tangled ball of hairy mess?' That's what God showed me one day, in my prayer time. I asked Him to show me what He wanted me to see. This was before I had even gone into the jail for the first time.

I was sitting in my office praying and waiting for Him to speak. All of a sudden,I saw myself with a 'ball' of hair on my head and it was a ball of tan-

gled hair,… Continue

A POINTLESS SWORD - WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?

When God calls a man or a woman, He makes their mouth like a "sharp sword" (Isaiah 49:2). They become a moral power in the hand of the Holy Spirit. He uses their words to pierce consciences & cut & lay open the hearts of men. POINTLESS SPEECH is NO SPEECH for the true minister of God. Nowadays, many want to break off the POINT of the SWORD and be cute! God didn't call you to be cute, but to cut! LEAVE THE SWORD ALONE!

In Ephesians 6:17, the Apostle Paul admonished all… Continue

24/7 Emergency Assistance…call now

The other day while driving to work I was having one of my infamous drive- time conversations with God. This particular morning I was focusing on how I try to control my life in a lot of ways instead of giving it up to God. I often forget that I can call on Him. I said a quick prayer for God to send me reminders he is always there for me and I’m not alone.

I looked over at a utility van beside me at the red light and saw a slogan on it that said “24/7 Emergency Assistance Available “. I… Continue

Why did Jesus Fold the Napkin

I received this in an email from a very good friend of mine, Please read it!!! I read it and it was awesome!!

Why Did Jesus Fold the Napkin?

This is REALLY AMAZING!!

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection?

I never noticed this....

The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the…

Jesus: Savior But Not Lord?

Romans 12: 1, 2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–His good, pleasing and perfect will.”

We need to dust off our Bibles and read it (and not just books about it) to find out what God wants… Continue

Jesus Is Altogether Worthy

We’re awash in things wearing the name “Christian”…

We have “Christian” magazines, “Christian” books, “Christian” bookstores, “Christian” radio stations, “Christian” television stations, “Christian” mugs, “Christian“ candies, “Christian” t-shirts…

We have “Christian” speakers, “Christian” writers, “Christian” talk-show hosts, “Christian” singers…

We can buy “Christian” books on everything from cleaning your house to saving for retirement…

We can join together and support the… Continue

Change Me

I am as a catterpillar laying face down on the floor, reaching out to Jesus to change me and wrap me in the cacoon of His love.

That someday I will be a catterpillar no more.

Jesus give me beauty for ashes and joy for my tear's,wing's to soar above my trouble's and my fear's.

That I may be free to travel as a butterfly and spread Your Word full of love hope and peace to other's who are lost in the same place You found me.

Thank You Jesus I am changed now for ever… Continue

SIN CAN RUST EVEN FINE GOLD!

"Sin can bring the brightest and most glorious of human societies and institutions into decay and contempt." - Pulpit Commentary

"Sin can rust even the fine gold." - Pulpit Commentary

"The contempt put upon God's people ought to be a matter of lament to us." - Matthew Henry

"For though man be by nature the sublimest of God's creatures, when he is abandoned to sin and all its consequences he sinks below the level of the brutes...Only Divine grace and power can restore the… Continue

Back

I've been offline for a few months, but I'm back now. It's hard being a teen sometimes, having to manage all these ridiculous accounts online. Like myspace and facebook. I am however deleting my myspace account. I don't want a 'second life' online lol.

RELEASING MY CHILDREN INTO GODS HANDS

I want to thank everybody for their prayers, advice and encouragement. When my son walked away from home i thought I lost him forever. But my God is in control and boy did God teach me a lesson. I decided to take a few day off from work and spend time with my kids in order for us to talk and pray together over our problems.

God reminded me of 1Peter 5v7 "Leave all your worries with him because He cares for you." What was my worries and fears?

My worries and fears was my children… Continue

Open Letter To Pastors

Dear Man of God,

You’ve been given a great and fearful job by Almighty God. As I sit before you week after week, I hunger for spiritual meat. I can no longer stand a cotton candy diet. Teach me the deep things of God. I want the truth about myself: I am a sinner and all of my “good-deeds” are but filthy rags before the Lord. My efforts are nothing and will never be enough to take me to heaven. I need you to explain what you have spent so long studying. Tell me how to please Him, how… Continue

A Consuming Fire

Deuteronomy 4: 24, “For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.”

Wildfires sweep across plains and through great forests devouring everything in sight. Man-made or God-made, all that is in the path of the fire catches fire and burns up: trees, animals, plants, humans, houses…the fire consumes it all leaving nothing but ashes in its path.

Hebrews 12: 29, “For our God is a consuming fire.”

God is love and He wants me to… Continue

Repent...and Keep On Repenting

What is biblical repentance? It’s hardly ever addressed in our pulpits so most of us don’t even know.

Repentance is not despair over having been caught doing something that I shouldn’t have been doing; it’s not being regretful that since I got caught there is now a price to pay; it’s not disappointment over the discomfort or inconvenience the consequences of my sin is now having on my life.

Genuine biblical repentance is measuring my sin against God’s holiness and being… Continue

Judgment: The Moments Of Eternity

(I realize that this is but a poor description of hell. It is not meant to be representative of reality but is, rather, meant to make you think. No words can adequately describe the torture that awaits those who make it there. Those who have spurned God–who heard the Word and yet rejected it–who spent their lives willingly engaging in sin–will spend eternity in hell, wishing that they hadn’t refused to come to Him in obedience. Unfortunately there are many in the church who believe that they… Continue

Abusing Grace

The church in America, as a whole, is more interested in fitting into the world than converting the world. We have become cowards. Those who stand up and declare God‘s ways will find themselves at odds with the very ones who should be supporting them.

The church is failing to live up to all of its holy potential and take hold of all of the spiritual blessings available to her because we are failing to do three things: study God’s Word with an eye towards doing His will, pray that… Continue

Breaking The Heart Of Jesus

The modern Western church desperately needs to remember the message of the cross: that Jesus was not only crucified by men but that He was crushed by His Father. We’ve forgotten that our salvation was something so costly that only God could plan it and make it happen. We’ve acted as if God owes us something; we’ve lived as if He needs us! We’ve forgotten that He is the Everlasting Almighty God Who is and always was complete in Himself and that He has need of nothing for in Him everything exists… Continue

How Long Shall God's Mercy Endure?

In Genesis 3: 15, God said to Satan, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

Enmity: deep seated dislike, hatred, hostility or the quality of being an enemy.

Being in a state of enmity with God is deadly serious. If we choose to love the things of the world, we are choosing to hate the things of God. I John 2: 16 states, “For all that is in the world, the lust of… Continue
