All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Part 1: Why Rediscovering the Kingdom of God.

Introduction:
To rediscover something means that the thing used to be, but now is lost – it is one message Satan will not allow the church to preach. Matt. 13: 8.

Why does Satan hate the message of the kingdom of God? This is what he lost in heaven – therefore he never wants you and I to enter there.

What man lost in the Garden of Eden was a kingdom – that means the kingdom life was lost.
Bible said God made man in His own image and after His likeness, then placed man as king over the earth.
That means man was to rule over the earth – the earth became man’s domain while the heaven is God’s domain – Gen. 1: 28; Psa. 8: 3-6.

***Note God can only rule on this earth through his human agents – those who have submitted themselves to his Lordship.

The Bad News:
Man through an act of disobedience to God’s command lost his domain – that means man lost his kingship over the earth. Gen. 3: 1-17

***Whatever God gives you becomes your responsibility to protect it through obedience to his Word.
Anytime man chooses to disobey God’s Word – things don’t get better but worst – that means disobedience whether consciously or unconsciously robs you of your position in God.
This is what happened to Adam – he lost his position of authority.

The Good News:
Jesus Came to Restore Man to the Kingdom life - Luke 4: 43; 12: 32.

The purpose of Jesus coming on earth was to restore what was lost – that means the “Kingdom life”.
The salvation Jesus brought to mankind was to re-establish the Kingdom of God in the hearts of men who shall believe in him.

When Jesus came – his first message was the Kingdom of God – Matt. 4: 17.

**The Old Testament prophets spoke about this kingdom of God – Isa. 9: 6-9; Dan. 7: 26-27.

According to Luke 16: 16-17 – Jesus is saying that from the time of John till now the Kingdom of God must be preached.

What did John preached – Matt. 3: 1-2.
What did Paul preached – Acts 19: 8; 20: 25-26; 28: 23,30-31.
What did Philip preached – Acts 8: 11-12.

***Note they did not preach nor teach people on how to get rich but they preached the message of the kingdom.

That’s to say that the greatest need of mankind can only be found in the kingdom of God – that only kingdom that cannot be shaken or destroyed.

Conclusion:
Are you in this kingdom? Or are you still in your kingdom?
