Paul appeals to the Jews

Greetings, Friends~ Today, we are blessed to read Paul's first recorded sermon--what a brilliant oratorical narrative it is for us to devour! Paul was masterful in relating to the Jews in the way they would receive it, using his intellectual style of evangelism. While his sermon has similarities to the speeches of Stephen and Peter as a historical retrospective, Paul's weaving in of prophecy and its fulfillment in Jesus Christ shows that Christianity is a defensible faith. So, pray with me--… Continue

Please pray for my husband and me

My husband doesn't fully understand about my struggles with anxiety and depression. He's come across

to me as very supportive until he got very upset with me tonight saying that he's getting a lot done- more than me- that because I'm spending time with God- praying, reading Scripture, doing a Bible study, listening to Worship music. He's a believer, but I feel that God is wanting us to go much deeper with Him. I know - I have faith and hope- that I'm getting

better and I've been… Continue

Don't focus on the storm!

Many people have heard the story of Jesus walking on water. That can be found in Matthew 14:22-27:

22 Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and cross to the other side of the lake, while he sent the people home. 23 After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray. Night fell while he was there alone. 24 Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land, for a strong wind had risen, and they… Continue

The cross is heavy

The cross is too heavy

For me am really convinced

That the cross is too heavy

For me to carry

But then He thinks otherwise

And He always whisper into my ears

Don't be afriad

For I am your Helper

Your very present help

In times of need

Only exchange yours for mine

And keep your eyes on me

And the Spirit is always with you

To lead you on

Even so Lord be with us forever

Amen

Cardinal joins calls for Trident replacement to be scrapped

One of the UK's most senior Roman Catholics has joined the growing calls for the replacement of Trident to be abandoned.

Cardinal Keith O'Brien, the leader of Scotland's Catholics, criticised plans to renew Britain's nuclear deterrent, calling the retention of Trident "immoral".

Fill Me

Like Space vast and empty
Like the wind in all directions
Like a stray sheep
Without shelter

So is my life without Christ
Oh Lord fill my emptiness
Direct me and hide me
Under your powerful wings
And build in me a living stream
That flows till eternity

Amen

In my valley moments I wrote this piece
And the Lord has heard me.
May it be a blessing to many who read it.

Hiss! Boo! Phooey!

From My Perspective - - -

At a different time and a less “politically correct” day, there was a host of characters who were part of the folklore of the South. “The name Joel Chandler Harris may not be as familiar to some as the characters he immortalized. For over a century, Brer Fox, Brer Rabbit, Brer Bear and the Tar Baby have played tricks on each other, visited the Laughing Place and generally cut up and carried on as told by Uncle Remus. The stories appeared in newspapers,…

Civil Disobedience to Save Unborn Children: Is "Rescuing" Right?

The Reason for Rescuing

"Rescuing" is a united action in which people peacefully place their bodies in front of the entrances of an abortion clinic. The purpose is to prevent access to the clinic, and to thereby save the lives of unborn children who would otherwise be killed shortly after their mothers enter the building.

Of course, mothers denied entrance still have the option of rescheduling an appointment at another time, at the same clinic or a different one. But the… Continue

Satan's obstacles

For a few years now, I've had in the back of head an idea. An idea I have no doubt originated from God. This idea was to help people understand prophesy. As I have already many times before pointed out: I am not an expert in prophesy. I just want to convey to people what was made clear to me by God. Finally the Lord guided me here, to this group and suddenly I saw my way clear to a platform, a method of obeying His command to me. On Monday morning I started a group called "prophesy" to begin… Continue

IS GOD AGANIST SEX AND A GOOD TIME?

Is God Against Sex, Fun and Pleasure?

1 Corinthians 7:1-7:7

Last week we concluded from Scripture that God isn’t the bogeyman some people make Him out to be. (“Does God Punish Us When We Sin?”)

Instead of being inclined to punish us when we sin He is actually more inclined to show us mercy. He loves us so much that Jesus suffered our punishment. When He does punish is not in vindictiveness. His punishment is just because it stems from His perfect nature… Continue

DEALING WITH OFFENSES

DEALING WITH OFFENSES

An offended brother is more [resistant]than a strong city, and disputes are like the locked gate of a castle tower.” ( Proverbs 18:19 GWT )

And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void to offense toward God, and toward men.” ( Acts 24:16 KJV )

“That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ.” (…

The Maker of all human beings (GOD) is recalling all units manufactured, regardless of make or year, due to a serious defect in the primary and central component of the heart. This is due to a malfunction in the original prototype units code named Adam and Eve, resulting in the reproduction of the same defect in all subsequent units. This defect has been technically termed 'Sub-sequential Internal Non-Morality, ' or more commonly known as S.I.N., as it is primarily expressed.. Some of the… Continue

He lifted me up

He lifted me up from the deep miry clay
He planted my feet on the King's Highway
And this is the reason I sing and I shout
My Jesus has come and lifted me up.

Bang, Bang,Your Dead.

Bang, Bang,Your Dead.

Zechariah 14:1-14:12

Bang, Bang,Your Dead.

Preaching the Gospel is an exciting adventure into the past, present and future. Many believe that humanity will continue at its present rate and eventually come together in peace and love. I’m sorry to say that this is just another lie from the father of all lies, Satan. Man is destined to die, no matter what, age, race, color, weather they be rich or poor. Death will not be denighed. As a child, I… Continue

Choose First, Then Think

You've probably been told throughout your life that you should think before you make an important decision. However, consider what is at the root of a thought. How do we know what to think? We must first make a choice. We choose what kind of thought we would like to engage, such as something positive or something negative. Therefore, it might prove equally important, or even more important to practice choosing before we think. So how might we be able to make a choice before we make a thought?… Continue
