DENIGRATION

From My Perspective - - -

This past week, two separate events transpired that brought to mind different ideas that are somewhat akin to each other, namely, Belittle and Denigrate. Belittle is: “To represent or speak of as contemptibly small or unimportant; disparage; To cause to seem less than another or little…” Denigration is defined as: “to attack the character or reputation of; speak ill of; defame; disparage; belittle…”

Two illustrations of this phenomena occurred…

Bringing long and lost back to the flock

Good evening and to some Good Morning,

To All who read this I try to write this as though it where a love letter. The book of John is bar non the best.

Today my Wife and I where joined in church by not only by my Mother( a long time Believer) and my younger brother who I feel will be returning to flock in short order. Like me his heart is very sensitive, and through the course of the ministry I could feel his heart tremble in the word. I could feel the layers of the mean and evil… Continue

WHY KNOW THE FATHER'S HEART??

Why Know The Father's Heart?

Understanding the Father character of GOD is essential if we are to love Him and be assured of His love.

Worship GOD, trust GOD, be secure in GOD, pray to GOD, yield to GOD, live holy before GOD, receive GOD'S guidance, serve GOD, be like GOD, and much more.

Spend time with your Father, with His word, His love letter to you. Receive GOD as your…

What a wonderful day!!

Brothers and Sisters, today has been a wonderful day. I have been so worried about our Sister Myrna, as she is truly struggling in her walk with the Lord. Her husband has slipped back into drugs, in an attempt to feel alive again, and I know the emptiness that comes instead all too well. I pray for her and her husband and ask all who read this to do the same, as it only takes a moment to ask God to help them both in their struggle.

I got to spend yesterday doing gardening work at our… Continue

Wedding!

I attended a wonderful wedding yesterday. Two members of my motorcycle club got married and asked if I would do the video and photo coverage for them. Was a great day and all went very well.
One thing about me being an ex-Navy photographer, I still get to do a lot of things like this.
I wish them the best of luck and It sure turned my Saturday into a wonderful day.

Boys Night Out! (Miracle, Vision)

The Lord saved Jims life 6 times that I know of; that the Holy Spirit has laid upon my heart and shoulders; in strong feelings of doom; and heavy weight placed upon my shoulders. It was agreed that Jim was to go w/a co-worker of his, to shoot pool after work;(K.Whittington; from my high school.) Jim worked till 12:30 pm; and I worked @ the Respite center

10:30pm till 6:30 am. After about 2 hrs of working the 2 workers w/me decided we… Continue

What's a buck?

In the US, we spend $43 Billion dollars a year on our pets. We also spend billions on cosmetics, clothing, and gas gulping cars built for style and flash more than value or efficiency. Many of us live in homes large enough to hold an entire clan in many other parts of the world. We are 5% of the world's population and we consume 25 to 35% of the world's resources. It's not to say we haven't earned it, but at what cost?

If a man has $5.00 in his pocket and is standing next to someone… Continue

CONFIDENCE

If you could convince people that our country’s economy is going to collapse, and you could get everybody talking about it, what do you think the result would be? The economy would collapse! The simple reason is that our economy has one essential foundation: confidence. The same is true of every similar system—financial, political or spiritual: if confidence is undermined, it is certain to lead to disaster.

In this article I want to examine three themes related to confidence:… Continue

BRINGING THE BACKSLIDERS HOME TO THE FATHER

BRINGING THE BACKSLIDERS HOME TO THE FATHER

“For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.” ( 1Peter 2:25 NAS )

1. Those who attempt to restore a backslider must themselves be walking closely with the Lord and make sure we are not in the same, or worse position as the backslider.

I remember seeing a preacher publicly… Continue

THE LORD'S WEEKEND DEVOTIONAL, SETTLING OUR SALVATION

Settling Our Salvation:

Perhaps you're familiar with the opening words of Fanny Crosby's hymn Blessed Assurance:

"Blessed assurance, JESUS is mine! O what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of GOD, born of His Spirit, washed in His…

COURAGE IN THE MIDDLE OF ADVERSITY

COURAGE IN THE MIDDLE OF ADVERSITY

Adversity is a great test of our courage. Courage is an attribute that God demands of us as we trek the road of life. Let us look at courage from a scriptural stand point. There are several different uses in the Scripture. Understanding these uses can help us to be more courageous in our every day walk with the Lord, and in the face of adversities that we might have to…

Praying in tongues......

I have been having a lot of questions regarding praying in tongues.

1. Are we all who are saved and filled with the Holy Sirit supposed to be speaking in tongues?
2. Why are some tongues so similar?
3. If I am saved and filled with the Holy Spirit but do not speak in tongues, what does it mean?

Blessings!!!

Pray for New York!

New Yorks' bad government is at it again! Mr. Patterson wants to legalize same-sex marriage in our state! Bad enough that Vermont just passed it last week,now they want NY! As a New Yorker and a Christian, I say NO

How can ANYONE,straight or gay,actually believe that same-sex unions are okay?There is NOTHING okay about it. It is a sin,a perversion,and it should be criminal. I'd expect something like this from Massachusetts or California,as they are so liberal,but NOT Vermont and NY! Thank… Continue

FELLOWSHIP.........

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.--- Hebrew 10:23-25

You know my brothers en sisters in Christ every time i go in my joined Christian sites... i am really…

Give me time

It may take me some time to be a part of this group. I was a member of another group that recently closed down. I lost all my friends. music, and my blog posts. I am a member of another group (faith-space.com). I am hesitant to jump right into this group for fear it too may shut down. So, just give me a little more time to see how it goes. Thanks.

Shirley and Marcy

May Shirley Goodnest and Marcy be with you today and always.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Mom was concerned about her kindergarten son walking to school. He didn't want his mother to walk with him. She wanted to give him the feeling that he had some independence but yet know that he was safe.
So she had an idea of how to handle it. She asked a neighbor if she would please follow him to school in the mornings, staying at a distance, so he… Continue
Getting "Crushed"
Good Evening to All and to some Good Morning,
This is weird for me as I have never shared with so many people at one time. As I heard the words of our Pastor tonight in church all of this was a jumble. The contents of this blog are aggressive. Be strong, and bear with me. In the future I will write more and get much better at it. In the mean time, I will do my best.
As this is written know that this is for His Glory and I am just the bearer. This Easter Sunday I became a believer… Continue
Don't ever be discouraged about sharing JESUS with someone!!!
For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! (1 Corinthians 9:16)
You never know how GOD ALMIGHTY is going to use you!!
