I'm passionate about...: living every day to the fullest, but not able to accomplish that because of issues in my past and present.

My story with God: raised Roman Catholic, left the church in my early 20's, studied with Jehovah's Witnesses, became friends with an X Mennonite who was attending a Baptist Church. Had so many questions that she was able to answer for me. Sent the Witnesses away after 9 mos. of confusion and of not having my questions answered. I knew very little after attending church my whole life, but I knew enough to realize that God was real, hell was real, Jesus was real, and my life needed to change. Accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, but have had a very rocky, up and down relationship with Him and the church. I am very frustrated, and I want to be healed in my mind and spirit, so I can have a real relationship with God and other believers.

Other stuff about me:: Fun loving, young at heart, broken, an adult child of an alcoholic, hurting, confused. Recently retired from a 30 year career in finance with massive responsibilities. I have started volunteering for several different agencies, but I still don't know what I am supposed to do with the life I have left. I want to help others, but need to heal the past hurts in my life before I can be of service to anyone. I have a desire to be part of something, but I don't know what that is. I need lots of prayer.
