All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Ok, if a person has a certain sin that is caused by circumstances. What if the situations/circumstances can't really be taken out of the way?

And, what does a person do if that sin is comitted and it'll lead to another sin?

Please pray God helps me stop...I'm so ashamed.

All you need to do is read, “if the Word has any value to you" 2Pet.1:2-3. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you, through the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord; according as His Divine power has given to you all things that pertain unto life and Godliness, through the knowledge of Him who has called you to glory and virtue.

It is a completed work on God's part; He has already done all He can do; so what more do we expect Him to do? We do have a little responsibility to take what God has already provided for us and be diligent enough to act accordingly.

Faith without works is dead. James 2:14-26,
What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?.............  Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
Seest thou how faith wrought with his works and by works was faith made perfect?
And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

1Sam.15:22…. to obey is better than sacrifice,…..

Brother, I know what I have to obey-my parents. I just don't know how to obey when it comes to something...

It's not something that can be physically easily to get rid of. There is a possible way...but that is extreamly difficult and complex.

Jesus made it simple; even simple enough for me.

What is it that overcomes the world, even our faith. 1Jo.5:4

Mark 9:23....said unto him, if you can believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Joe

Brother, that means to give Jesus the problem, right? I'm scared to give Him the problem...There's certain consiquences that scare me...

I am reminded of what Jesus told those who were with Him in Gethsemane. "Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41, ESV.

Also in the Lord's Prayer, Jesus said, "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil" Matthew 6:13, ESV.

Perhaps it would help you if you stopped focusing so much on the sin(s) and on your failures and if you instead focused on Jesus and on asking Him to take away that particular temptation from you and to not allow you to be led into it or to enter it or even to have it. He knows the flesh is weak. Your spirit is willing or you wouldn't even be talking about how much this is bothering you and distressing you.

Remember the Lord's prayer also says, "And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors" Matthew 6:12, NIV.

Sin is never OK or acceptable to God. It offends God. Thankfully, God is merciful and longsuffering and forgiving.
