All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Ok, if a person has a certain sin that is caused by circumstances. What if the situations/circumstances can't really be taken out of the way?

And, what does a person do if that sin is comitted and it'll lead to another sin?

Please pray God helps me stop...I'm so ashamed.

I think one effective way to begin to beat those things are accountability. As long as we hide in the darkness with our sins, the more control they gain over our lives. When others know about it, the more likely we'll consider doing it again. My suggestion would be that you confide in a sister in Christ so that they can continually pray for you & with you. They can also be that encouragement that is needed. One thing you need not do is beat yourself up. Satan wants nothing more then for you to stop reading the Word & praying. As long as you feel so ashamed, you're not going to pray because you feel so unworthy to do so. Just remember, He understands.

It's so complicated sister...My life is intwined with so much....

I don't want to do it again. I'm just afraid I will because of certain reasons. One part of my life intwines with another part. I try to find a way out and end up sinning...

I can't pray with a brother/ sister in Christ in person...

Feet....

I have no idea what sin you might be referring to exactly, but will try to come up with the most common one that has and will effect many.

We are to submit to our husband. However, in submitting to the husband, we are brought to a sin that would offend God. What do we do? We do not offend God. We follow what He says on a particular situation instead of the husband. This should be done in such a manner as to try not to offend the husband. However, if he becomes offended, so be it.

I don't exactly know what you refer to, but my prayer is that you find the answer you need.

Blessings.....

Rita, I'm ashamed....idoltery and self pity...

Husband? I'm not married.

Regardless of your marital situation, the answer is the same. Do not offend God. Anything placed above Him is sin.

You need to put God first in all aspects of your life. If you are an idolizer, there is something more important than God. If you feel self pity, you are exalting yourself above God. That was Satan's downfall.

All of us, at some time or another, have done these same sins. We have all had to get our priorities straight.

Blessings to you in your battle....

Rita

Rita I don't want to offend Him. It's not as much idoltery now...It's complicated...I don't want to do it. It's something else.

Rita, I know I mentioned the sins...

I'm just going to have to trust He will help me. I realize I can't repent unless I ask God for help.

You mature in your fight against "that particular sin," cause by the circumstance(s). Is it really circumstances that can cause us to sin?

Brother circumstances are a part of it. There's different parts in this situation...

Feet...

We all will be praying for you, that God gives you the strength you need to overcome your particular sin.

Blessings.....

Thank you all. He's slowly (that's good because I prefer things slow) helping me with the idoltery sin. I still need His help with self pity. I just look at myself in the wrong view. If I had a better view of myself (not a vain in love with myself thing) but a healthly self esteem. I have trouble knowing the difference.

Thanks for your prayers, count on Him for He answers prayers. My problem is I'm not pacient enough and expect if I pray it'll be gone just like that. :sighs: What a shame. I need to remember "Be still and know that I am God..." It'd help with I wasn't so anxious, slowed down and did some thinking. Hey, maybe I could put a bucket over my head and do my thinking like that. Having a sence of humor helps with that one. You know like Gomer Pyle on Andy Griffith when he wanted to go in the service or whatever and got rejected. He put a bucket over his head and took a think under their. :)

You need to see yourself as God sees you, in Christ!! He is not imputing those trespasses unto you anyway.

That doesn't give you an open door to go against the convictions of your heart when we are tempted to satisfy the lust of the flesh, but this should give us an overwhelming desire to please Him and submit ourselves to Him and resist the devil and he will flee from you. If you can have faith in that promise alone, you can overcome anything, what is it that overcomes the world? Even our faith. 1Jo.5:4
