To One in Sorrow
Let me come in where you are weeping, friend,
And let me take your hand.
I, who have known a sorrow such as yours, can understand.
Let me come in--I would be very still beside you in your grief;
I would not bid you cease your weeping, friend,
Tears bring relief. Let me come in--and hold your hand,
For I have known a sorrow such as yours, And understand.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
Your perfect love is casting out fear
And even when I'm caught in the middle of the storms of this life
I won't turn back, I know You are near

And I will fear no evil
For my God is with me
And if my God is with me
Whom then shall I fear?
Whom then shall I fear?

Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low
Oh no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me

And I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on
A glorious light beyond all compare
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
We'll live to know You here on the earth

Yes, I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
Still I will praise You, still I will praise You

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE BY MERCY MEI can only imagine what it will be like, when I walk by Your side...

I can only imagine, what my eyes will see, when Your Face is before me!

I can only imagine..
I can only imagine..

Surrounded by Your Glory, what will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you, Jesus? Or in awe of You, be still?
Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing 'Hallelujah!'? Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine! I can only imagine!

I can only imagine, when that day comes, when I find myself standing in the Son!
I can only imagine, when all I will do, is forever, forever worship You!
I can only imagine! I can only imagine!

Yeah! I can only imagine!

Yeah! I can only imagine!

I can only imagine! Yeah! I can only imagine!! Only imagine!!!
I can only imagine.

I can only imagine, when all I do is forever, forever worship You!
I can only imagine..

Love U Lord...
Jerimy Camp- I Still Believe
Scattered words and empty thoughts
Seem to pour from my heart
I've never felt so torn before
Seems I don't know where to start
But its now that I feel your grace fall like rain
From every fingertip washing away my pain

I still believe in your faithfulness
I still believe in your truth
I still believe in your holy word
Even when I don't see, I still believe

Though the questions still fog up my mind
With promises I still seem to bear
Even when answers slowly unwind
It's my heart I see you prepare
But its now, that I feel, your grace fall like rain
From every fingertip washing away my pain

I still believe in your faithfulness
I still believe in your truth
I still believe in your holy word
Even when I don't see, I still believe

Well the only place I can go is into your arms
Where I throw to you my feeble prayers well in brokenness
I can see that this was your will for me
Help me to know that you are near

I still believe in your faithfulness
I still believe in your truth
I still believe in your holy word
Even when I don't see, I still believe

I still believe (repeat 8 X's)

Ohhh, I still believe, I still believe

THE SILENCE OF GOD-Andrew Peterson
It's enough to drive a man crazy; it'll break a man's faith
It's enough to make him wonder if he's ever been sane
When he's bleating for comfort from Thy staff and Thy rod
And the heaven's only answer is the silence of God

It'll shake a man's timbers when he loses his heart
When he has to remember what broke him apart
This yoke may be easy, but this burden is not
When the crying fields are frozen by the silence of God

And if a man has got to listen to the voices of the mob
Who are reeling in the throes of all the happiness they've got
When they tell you all their troubles have been nailed up to that cross
Then what about the times when even followers get lost?
'Cause we all get lost sometimes...

There's a statue of Jesus on a monastery knoll
In the hills of Kentucky, all quiet and cold
And He's kneeling in the garden, as silent as a Stone
All His friends are sleeping and He's weeping all alone

And the man of all sorrows, he never forgot
What sorrow is carried by the hearts that he bought
So when the questions dissolve into the silence of God
The aching may remain, but the breaking does not
The aching may remain, but the breaking does not
In the holy, lonesome echo of the silence of God

GriefShare: How to Heal from Grief
Dr. Richard Mabry, an experienced physician, church deacon, and devoted husband, discovered the end to his "ever after" when his wife of forty years died from a stroke. All of a sudden, Dr. Mabry found himself wondering, "when will this end?" and "is it normal to feel this way?"

This is video of Dr. Mabry's story of grief and healing, which he shared on the Harvest Show.

Searching for help, he discovered that many books about grief were difficult to connect with. In The Tender Scar: Life After the Death of a Spouse, Dr. Mabry establishes a bond between the reader and himself by opening up excerpts from his personal journals. He discusses the situations and feelings he encountered during the grief process.

Coping with Grief After the Death of a Spouse

I am going through my own grief process due to the fact that my mom died suddenly last Wednesday night. It was so hard to deal with because it was so sudden. She was 70 and was never sick other than the fact she was paralyzed from the waist down and in a nursing home. I guess I didn’t want to consider that she could die yet. But a flue epidemic at the nursing home would be her demise. I have had my dad, my mother in-law and my Grandmother all pass in the last few years. This hit me harder than the others because they were all sick for a long time before their deaths.
When my marriage broke apart and I developed a physical problem where I had to leave a job I loved that I worked at for 20 years, I also went through grief. You never go through loss without going through a grieving process, even if it is not as severe as death.

This time I have more to greave about because both my parents and grandparents are gone and I have to deal with that loss also.

As with all crossroad moments that I have to face,
I have some choices to make at this time in my life.

I could become dismayed and walk around in self pity.
I could become bitter at God for allowing me to suffer this loss.
I could become angry and strike out at every one with blame
I could become guilty of not being the son I should have been to my mom.
I could trust God day by day to help me work through my grief and sorrow.

Jeremiah wrote that God spoke to His people and told them to stand at the crossroad and look, He told them to ask for the ancient paths and where the best road is, and walk in it and they would live in peace.(Jer.6:16a)

If we will ask God He will help us to make the best choice so we can live in peace also.

The word to a song called Dream Again expresses this so well.

Here we stand
At a crossroads again
Like you said
In time the seasons change

Looking back
We recall the blessing and the pain
But now we turn our hearts toward
What is still to come
We want to dream again

Lead us Lord
Into a life of fruitfulness
Prepare our hearts to risk again
As we trust
Taking simple steps of obedience we know
That you will lead us Lord
Forgiveness is a part of find healing in our lives. Some times mercy needs to be shown to those who might be responsible for our loss. The other man, or other women, or like this short film where some one needed mercy for killing the man’s wife.
With God's help we can forgive all those responsible for our loss.

Mercy Triumphs

Mercy Triumphs is about a grieving man who must decide how to respond to the one responsible for the death of his wife.
James 2:13 For judgment 'is' without mercy to him that hath showed no mercy: mercy glorieth against judgment.
