God never called anyone to be Successful, only to be Obedient, the outcomes are not based on us but only on God because our works are as dirty rags before God. God and the Holy Spirit are the ones in this relationship who are successful! because ALL the GLORY goes to Him
This might be taught in the Muslim countries, But not here,
Especially in the Word of God that I read.
Too be obedient? yes, but to be barely getting along, not hardly.
Psalms 37:25-26 (KJV)
25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
Joe
Prophet -

You are right on my sister. God has called us to be OBEDIENT and not successfull as the world sees success.

Yes, yes and yes - All the glory and praise belongs to our king.

Joe - I teach that here in Los Angeles, California. To be successful in God's eyes is to love. 1 Cor. 13. To be obidient. It has nothing to do with wealth.
Let us remember, God is Love

This is when you are successful in love, but this love does not send missionaries to the lost and dying world. It takes money and it doesn’t grow on trees, and I have never seen anyone get a package from heaven full of money to meet his needs.
Proverbs 8:20 says, I lead in the way of righteousness and in the midst of the paths of judgment, that I may cause those that love me to inherit substance and I will fill their treasures.Though our wealth is gotten by the “Grace” of God, That’s “Charis” in the Greek. Meaning, That divine influence upon the heart……, in other words we are lead by His “Grace“, that is called: being obedient to the Spirit of God.

And this is the “agape” kind of love.
1Cor.13, Amplified bible
And because I walk in love and love lives in me
# 1 I endure long
# 2 I am patient and kind
# 3 I am never envious, nor do I boil over with jealousy
# 4 I am never boastful or vainglorious
# 5 I never display myself haughtily
# 6 I am not conceited, arrogant or inflated with pride
# 7 I am never rude or unmannerly
# 8 I never act unbecomingly
# 9 I never insist on my own rights or my own ways
# 10 I am never self seeking
# 11 I am never touchy, fretful or resentful
# 12 I take no account of an evil done to me
# 13 I pay no attention to a suffered wrong
# 14 I do not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness
# 15 I do rejoice when right and truth prevail
# 16 I bear up under anything and everything that comes
# 17 I am ever ready to believe the best of everyone
# 18 My hopes are fadeless under all circumstances
# 19 I endure everything without weakening
# 20 For the love in me never fails, never fades out becomes obsolete or comes to an end.

So yes; you are successful in Love, But we just can’t say “Love ya Brother but you will have to find your own way to the missions field, and May God go with you”
1 John 3:18
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
In deed would be helping someone financially or physically, but if you don’t have it, how can you help?

But we are to lend to many nations, we are the head and not the tail etc. The Covenant that God made to Abraham. Deut.28:1-14, And it was to Abraham and his seed were the promises made, He says not to seeds as of many, but to the one seed which is Christ, and if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abrahams seed and heirs according to the promise. This comes when you understand the “New Creation” and who you are in Christ and understanding the “Spirit, Soul and Body” And until you understand these, we will always have these kind of debates.

Why can’t we just take God at His Word, believe what He says, rather than trying to make it so complicated and confusing. He loves us and He wants us to prosper and be in health, even as our soul prospers.
So here’s three things and all of them are not Spiritual, Prosper, be in Health, as our soul prospers, I would think spiritually, or in knowledge, and our minds renewed to the Word of God. Not by our senses and leaning unto our own understanding.
Joe
Joe,

No one in their right mind wants to be poor. I don't think anyone in this site is against prospering in all things. As Christians we are to prosper in all things. However a Christian can be beautiful in Christ and be poor. I know you may disagree with that statement and that is ok my brother. A Christian can know the word, be faithful in giving and walk in holiness and still experience the harshness of living in a fallen world. Yet their treasures are abundant in heaven. Their true riches are in heaven, the joy and peace thy experience through it all is also wealth beyond anything we can acquire on our own.

Revelation 2:9
I know your afflictions and your poverty—yet you are rich! I know the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

Beloved - I have experienced God's favor in my life so much throughout my life that I do not disagree with you that we prosper in all things. I have been unemployed for about 6 months and I am yet to want anything. I have become self employed for now and I am well by the grace of God, so I hear you bro and agree with you that God blesses His people in order to bless others.

Blessings.
AMEN DAVID!!
Question
How do we know if the person is successful or not?

If they are bearing fruit unto righteousness.
Matthew 7:15-20 (KJV)
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

“Question”
Thus the Bible talks about it and where?
Matthew 7:15-20

Question” Can one be successful and how?

Joshua 1:8 (KJV)
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt u>b>make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Question
There is good or bad side of it?

The bad side of it is, If you are not well grounded in the Word and you allow it [the wealth or success] to dominate your life, it can destroy you,
The Good side of it is, you will have plenty to give to them that are in need and you can live a much more peaceful life, by not worrying about where the next meal is coming from.

I do not know I want to know?

This might sound a little secular, But!
Success is a continuous journey toward the achievement of predetermined worthwhile goals.

3 John 1:2 (KJV)
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Joe
When you are walking in God's will, being obedient to his word. The peace in our spirit will testify.
Genesis 24:12-15 Abraham's servant prayed for success when he went to find a wife for Isaac.
He was successful!
Daniel 6:28 (Because of his faithfulness and obedience Daniel enjoyed success in captivity in Babylon..God closed the mouth of the lions..) So this Daniel enjoyed success in the reign of Darius and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

Read Isaiah 48:15-17......
.Nehemiah 1:11...
Sunny,

It is hard for a rich man to enter heaven, but as far as a rich man not being able to enter heaven is not a biblical teaching nor is it true. I have known very wealthy people who love God and do wonderful things for His Kingdom with the fruit of their labor. Actually God knows they have a giving heart and blesses them.

Material wealth in most cases does distract many from serving God, but those who are mature in their relationship with Christ can invest their wealth in kingdom business. Your opinion is appreciated, but is not a biblical one, hence is simply your logic. Logic can only take us so far. I rather build my life in absolute truths found in the bible. There are two types of wisdom in the world. Worldly wisdom and Godly wisdom.

James 4
13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. 17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.
1 Corinthians 13

Love

1 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails.

God is not impressed on how much we know or how much we do, FOR ALL GOOD THINGS COME FROM ABOVE.

IF YOU WANT TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE EYES OF THE LORD - LOVE - LOVE - LOVE AND LOVE SOME MORE AFTER YOU LOVED.

We can attain great amounts of knowledge, speak even with angelic tongues, give all we have for the needy, but if we do not have love and do all those things with the wrong motives we have failed.

God is telling you here, this is how you are successful, this is how you are like me, and this is how you succeed. Verse 8 says: "LOVE NEVER FAILS" - THIS IS HOW WE ARE SUCCESSFUL.

As always God's way is not our ways. THE BEAUTIFUL THING ABOUT HIS WAY IS THAT IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU ARE 5 OR 85 YEARS OLD, YOU CAN BE SUCCESSFUL.
Piet,
Success means something different to most everyone. There is success in business, personal relationships, and where we are in our lives at certain times. It also depends on what our goals are? Becoming a manager at McDonalds may mean success to one person where to another being supervisor of a production line or being hired by a distinguished law firm will mean success to others.

Basic Christian principles and practices will distinguish us from non-Christian methods of attaining those successful goals. Prayer will definitely be the greatest help we can envision!!
Sunny, This simply means we"cant take it with us" when we die!! God allows each of us to acumulate certain things
while here on earth....what we do with what he gives us is important!! As Christians we are supposed to give back to God first then help those among us who may be in need...Take care of our families properly etc.
There are those who have more than others....by working hard, being lucky, inheriting wealth, etc. We are to "be content with where we are" as Paul says. Our hope is in the Glory of the Lord!! Heaven will be more than we can ever imagine!!
He will supply all our needs!
