All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Please respond to this in kindness. I'm obviously a woman and do not subscribe to chauvinistic ideology. However, I DO believe the Bible reveals a natural order that signifies God's original intention and purpose for His created.

Happy discussing! ;)

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16 If we as women do this in our marriages, relationships, our daily walk, what more than could we ask for? Can there really be any more power then showing the actual LIGHT of God himself?? Some women believe that to submit is taking the back burner so to speak, but to submit before GOD and the husband of HIS choosing...is well WOW ! POWERFUL. Imagine ladies...Your husband or son ministering to others, doing GOD'S work, guiding you, praying with you, over you and for you! Taking you into consideration in all matters. Thanking GOD daily for YOU! And all the while he is supplying your needs and most of your wants. And YOU make all of that possible! How powerful is that? YOU free his time for GOD's work. How can we do our role and his too at the same time? GOD knows what he is doing.
Indeed Erin.. of coarse keeping in mind it is all about Jesus. :)
Indeed it is all about JESUS! GOD BLESS YOU!

And again.. AMEN!
Erin,

Just a thought here...As women of GOD and as godly wives don't we already possess positions of awesome authority? If we are lifting our men to God in prayer, supplying their needs, "keeping the fort" allowing them to fulfill their GODLY roll, raising our sons to take their place as Godly men don't we already have "Top rank" positions in the church?

Bravo!

Sharon.
Good loonnnngggg article my sister.

Love in Chirst. :)
Thanks for this Michelle, out of respect of the people here, just thought i'd put a little bit in to this discussion that is actually about this discussion ,haha . The words that have been written on this page 6. added with what Glenda was saying on pages 3. and 4. sum up pretty well what I believe, not much I can add really ,except that we have a wonderful couple of ladies and gents in my church who give the services here and there if our pastor is unavailable .They do ,do a wonderful job ,but that doesnt mean that I agree with what the girls are doing, they will have been through the scriptures and felt the calling to do so .With all the decisions we make in this life,at the end of it all, we will ultimately have to stand before The Father and answer for them. If I was to stop attending a church because of something within that church I didnt believe in then I would never find a church that I could agree 100%, with ,so I am happy to settle into a church(within travelling distance for me) that I feel sits closest with the Written Word that I could find,I feel this is an important thing for all of us to do.I will keep praying that the Spirit leads me to where He wants me ,and I thank everyone here for your patience with me ,esspecially Glenda as she put the discussion here in the first place........praise allways be to Jesus and thank you again ..Andrew.
this has been very interesting. bro. david velasquez you always bring out so much on different topics and i appreciate it. i am a Christian woman with a college degree but i FEEL that it is the male's duty to be head over woman. i say FEEL because i have not put in the study that many of you have and this is just how i feel. very happy to see this topic being discussed with love and humor!
Praise God my sister. Praise God and thank you for your encouraging words. :)
Ginnybee,

I personally don't have a problem with this because in the Catholic Church women are in many top positions. I think that Protestant churches have a difficult time with women not being able to preach in church because there really are not that many other position so they all fight over the roll of preacher...what else is there? As a Catholic we have women everywhere in fact, I think that God commanded only men to be Priests just so that men would have something to do!
Sharon,

My following statement is not meant to be a mean one. I am simply echoing what many have already stated to you through many discussions. Can you give a scriptural answer to any discussion that does not involved mentioning what the Roman Catholic Church believes or doesn't. None of us here answer any thread by stating, well my Baptist, Pentecostal, Reformed, Lutheran etc church states that ___________. No, we simply endeavor to share what the Holy Spirit has revealed to us to be truth according to the bible. Can you tell us what God has taught you about the subjects without causing division among us by always bringing up the Roman Catholic's point of view? Which by the way most of us are familiar with and have chosen to go with a different view.

A discussion was recently brought up by brother here asking where the men were at in most churches, because women are a strong back bone in the Christian churches around the world.

And no sister, we do not fight for the one position of pastor's. As Christians we believe that God calls some for ministry work as stated in Ephesians 4:11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

I did not one day decide to be in ministry nor did a man assign me as such. God called me to ministry; others around me simply confirmed the calling in my life. It is not a career choice, but a calling. Women hold many positions in the Church of Christ.

After saying all that though, as you know you are free to approach the subjects as you wish. I just think that if you were to give us your biblical understanding of the matter it would be a beautiful thing to see how God works in you and through you.

In Love - DV
David,

I am simply stating that there is more than one way of looking at the problem. Why is this a problem at all? Because there are too few roles of importance to go around. How do we know? Because the Church has tons of women in very powerful positions! Why because the Church has many many roles for both men an women to fill!

If at your house you have a problem that is shared by many of your friends...and it keeps being a problem over and over......let's say the lights are out and you and your friends have no electricity in your homes ...and someone comes along and says, "Hey, we never have this problem because we installed a back up generator at our house."

Are you really going to respond with 'Will you stop talking about what you do at your house!"

aahhh...hello?

If you actually want to solve this problem then why not go see what is done at the Church where this is not a problem?
