All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I am not sure if i am in the right section, i am new to TheNet. I grew up in a christian family, and for some reason i chose to live the wrong path. I recently got arrested for selling drugs. This situation has really opened up my eyes and now i see the consequences that come with what i chose. God knows i regret every thing. I see the impact i have made on my family, my son, my girlfriend. I am afriad of going to prison. I ask for your prayers so that God can put in the hearts of the District Attorney and the Judge to work with me in changing my life, instead of just throwing me in prison. I really want to live a life in the Lord. Please pray for me.

You will be in my prayers brother.

Hi Cesar, God bless you!

It depends on what you done and how much and what your state has. And please don't go and say well Mary said I could do this blah blah blah. I'm not saying that at all.

Some states have restorative justice which I have participated in in my particular state. It depends on where you live. The offender is confronted by members of the community and the members of the community decide what they want the offender to do to make amends. Sometimes it's a public letter of apology and community service. If the offender does not make amends, it's back before the judge. As a community member I can meet the offender and tell them what I think. It's up to the judge. In my particular state, too many offenders were going straight to jail or prison, such as someone who has only just begun what I think of as small crimes. I can make a difference when I say...Why waste your life so needlessly...You are so smart, and you have so much potential! If you were in front of me, I'd probably say something like that to you. I'd probably say...You can still turn your life around...It's not too late...No matter the outcome of this, there is time to change...You are 98.6 and breathing. May I suggest writing a heartfelt letter of apology anyway? In the letters the offenders usually acknowledge how their actions impacted the community. They apologize and promise that they will change. You know what to say. No guarantees.

I'll be praying.  :-)

God's love,

Mary

Hi Cesar,

I'm in total agreement with Mary. Write a letter outlining what you have done, how you now see how wrong it was. What your decision has caused in your life, the life of your son and others within your community. I might also add, that you also realize that what you have done, has caused harm not only to those you sold the drugs to, but also to their family members and loved ones. Finally, write what you would like to do to make amends, give viable examples. I know people here will be praying for you as I will too.

Lord bless you.

Please keep us posted as to the outcome.

We have to live with the mistakes we make in life... The best thing about Christ is you are able to repent give it to God and let the outcome be his will good or bad.. He wont bring you to it if he cant bring you through it. Talk to him from the heart and he will hear you!!

Those of us who walked with dinosaurs can tell you of many things that we've seen our God do & the miracles that have unfolded in front of our eyes. Many of us have been addicts, alcoholics, walked thru cancer, went thru death of spouses, seen our children eat up with drugs & some of our children are still using. My point is, we've all been there so we're not a family that can't relate young brother. Some have been in your shoes & some of us have been in your parent's shoes. I wish I could tell you the Lord is going to make it all disappear with no consequences. There are those precious times that He looks at us & sees that prodigal. He sees that we've come back home broken & repentant. He sees our heart & knows we've feel the regrets & sorrow. There are those times His intercession is so divine that you know it could have come from none other than Him. I pray this for you if it's the Father's will. Regardless of what He chooses in your situation, He's always righteous.

God is the Alpha & Omega, the Beginning & End. He knew, knows & will always know. He pre-ordained, ordains & has ordained. Our lives are mapped out & nothing we do surprises Him. When we jump on that balance beam to compete for that gold (yea been watching the Olympics 24/7) & wobble & fall off, we don't catch Him off guard. He's not scrambling around to figure out what to do.  He doesn't need to make some last minute coaching corrections. His plan is on point. He's still on that throne. He allows those wobbles and falls. I'm sure it breaks His heart. I know as a parent, it breaks mine & His love goes way deeper than anything I could ever fathom. I use to sit & watch my daughter walk out that door never knowing if the cops would call & tell me she was in jail, in the hospital or even dead.

One thing I have found Cesar, is a lot of times, we feel regret because we got caught. We then see how we've hurt others. We also see that it's going to cost us personally- in your case prison & could possibly cost you some relationships. After the heaviness fades on the situation, they return to life they had before. Then there are others that getting caught is what it took for them. My prayer for you is that regardless of consequences, you remain faithful. The most important thing is you give Him the glory. The next most important thing is that baby. As a mama, that's always at the top of my list. Everything you do, say, teach, watch on TV, listen to on the radio, how you treat your girlfriend, how you treat others, everything you do, his little eyes are watching. I pray you become the father that the child deserves. He didn't ask to be put in this situation. You can turn this around & give him an example like none other. He can see what it's like to fall, to rise & to have victory in Jesus. You're in my prayers. May He give you the strength to carry His Name through this situation and may you give Him the glory regardless.

While it is within His power to keep you from jail, it is also part of God's plan to give us liberties in this life to make decisions. These decisions come with consequences, both good and bad. Your journey may take a detour and you may avoid jail ... your journey, because of your choices, may take you through jail. The question that you must ask IMO is "Whether jailed or free will you seek to walk with Him?" You may assume you know the answer, but only time will reveal the reality of your desire to walk with Him over the long haul. I encourage you, if you have not, to seek to find a good home church, one that has Jesus as their focus and a desire to love others seeking to help people on their journey called life. You will need to change friendships changing the crowd you used to run with and seek a group of people who will seek to encourage you, build you up and hold you accountable. I can assure you what is not going to happen ... you are not going to make this journey alone ... you need others and you need the right kind of others or you will return to where you have come from. I pray you are in it for the long haul (life) and that you seek to make wise choices moving forward.

Lord Bless,
LT
