Stuff Is Turning over in My Heart, Mind, and Emotionally (Please Pray for Me)
For almost a half hour I've been sitting here trying to figure out a how to write this prayer request in such a way that it makes perfect sense to everyone. Prior to that I've thought about posting this request for several days. And prior to that, on Wednesday Night, I actually prayed to God asking the very thing I'm asking you all to pray...
The reason why I gave this prayer request so much thought is because it seems like this thing is both popular and controversial. I worry about how people will respond. Will they respond with love or will they respond in some other way that isn't so loving. Will they respond with prayers or will they try and respond with a corrective spirit. Suggesting things to me that I heard bunches of times and still can't do, due to my currently situation.
Over the years I've prayed for a girl friend, with the idea that one day she might become my wife etc. But recently I've decided to experiment, and try asking God to take women off my mind. Some of you may think that a bit odd, while others of you might think it's a good idea. Really I don't know which is the better of the two, and I don't think it matters because you can't control how you feel emotionally, you only can control what you do with those feelings.
Over years, and Especially lately (as in this week) I've been experiencing a mixture of emotions combined with some scripture verses, and a memory of a sermon I heard several weeks ago. All these things keep turning in my head, and when I see single lady at work or some place, it's aggravates the things already turning over in my head.
I think posting this as a prayer request is the best thing to do because knowing scripture doesn't help, it is practicing what you know that does. In order to do that, I think, we need God's help. I need God's help to help me be the man I should be, both outwardly and inwardly.

You ever try the Gideon approach? Ask for a sign. If I'm unsure which way my heart is leaning I ask for a sign. Try something like asking God if He has someone planned for you that something that is specific (think of something that can't just be coincidence) happen and if not that another specific thing happen. Then pray for God's will. Knowing is half the battle. If you know then you can either deal with the wait or deal with knowing your walk is with God alone.
If you don't get the answer then it's still not His time to reveal this to you. Perhaps because it's a test and it's like any test. You study and study. You have it committed to memory. Yet on testing day you totally do a brain Freeze. Unpleasant and not the results we want but it happens. And we still take the test. If we fail there however it's done...Over. If we fail God's tests we'll get to repeat them. Don't know if that takes some of the unpleasantness out or adds to it.
It's like nails on a chalkboard not knowing what the test is, why God has you in it, or what reaction from you He's looking for. But if you keep reaching out and keep asking for His help, you will get it when He's ready to reveal it.
Now that probably didn't help at all but it is what it is. -

I hear your frustration and desire for prayer to help. Being a man and knowing what your heart desires is what God does. He Son Jesus being fully human, I am sure enjoyed the beauty of a woman without sin. We however, struggle with our flesh. Our focus needs to stay on growing ourselves as Christians closer to Christ. God knows your heart. He knew our hearts by creating Eve to be with Adam. I myself was a lost soul when I began to pray for a woman whom I could love and cherish as my partner. Prayer and focus on what God wants for us is the best. Because it is God's will that we need to seek. Choosing to devote yourself to another person needs to include God there. God needs to be first and foremost. So, while seeking God you will come along side another seeking God as well. When you fall in love with Jesus as your God and savior I am sure your strength in Love will draw others close to you whom you will choose to love each and every day. God's love for us should be reflected in our own faces.
