Can that be applied to all Christians from every Nation and tribe around the world? The answer is no. There are many who love Jesus and who are living in poverty, earthly poverty, but are rich in the Lord.

what do you mean when you say they are rich in the lord LT ?

Wealth comes in many forms. Our treasure is not of this world, for true treasure is to be stored up in heaven. We are Children of God, co-heirs with Christ. To take this a step further we have the greatest treasure of all ... Jesus Christ Himself.

Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus

(Helen H. Lemmel, 1864-1961)

O soul are you  weary and troubled?

No light in the darkness you see?

There’s light for a look at the Savior

And life more abundant and free

Turn your eyes upon Jesus

Look full in His wonderful face

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim

In the light of His glory and grace

Through death into life everlasting

He passed and we follow Him there

Over us sin no more hath dominion

For more than conquerors we are

Turn your eyes upon Jesus

Look full in His wonderful face

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim

In the light of His glory and grace

His Word shall not fail you – He promised

Believe Him and all will be well

Then go to a world that is dying

His perfect salvation to tell

Turn your eyes upon Jesus

Look full in His wonderful face

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim

In the light of His glory and grace

Himself

(A.B. Simpson, 1843-1919)

POWER POINT

Once it was the blessing

Now it is the Lord

Once it was the feeling

Now it is His Word

Once His gifts I wanted

Now the Giver own

Once I sought for healing

Now Himself alone

All in all forever

Jesus will I sing

Everything in Jesus

And Jesus everything

Once ‘twas painful trying

Now ‘tis perfect trust

Once was half salvation

Now the uttermost

Once ‘twas ceaseless holding

Now He holds me fast

Once ‘twas constant drifting

Now my anchor’s cast

All in all forever

Jesus will I sing

Everything in Jesus

And Jesus everything

Once ‘twas busy planning

Now it’s trustful prayer

Once ‘twas anxious caring

Now He has the care

Once ‘twas what I wanted

Now what Jesus says

Once ‘twas constant asking

Now it’s ceaseless praise

All in all forever

Jesus will I sing

Everything in Jesus

And Jesus everything

Once I hoped for Jesus

Now I know He’s mine

Once my lamps were dying

Now they brightly shine

Once for death I waited

Now His coming hail

And my hopes are anchored

Safe within the veil

All in all forever

Jesus will I sing

Everything in Jesus

And Jesus everything

Hi LT, I love that song, Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus.

There’s a peace in my heart that the world never gave,
A peace it cannot take away;
Though the trials of life may surround like a cloud,
I’ve a peace that has come here to stay!

Refrain

Constantly abiding, Jesus is mine;
Constantly abiding, rapture divine;
He never leaves me lonely, whispers, O so kind:
“I will never leave thee,” Jesus is mine.

All the world seemed to sing of a Savior and King,
When peace sweetly came to my heart;
Troubles all fled away and my night turned to day,
Blessèd Jesus, how glorious Thou art!

Refrain

This treasure I have in a temple of clay,
While here on His footstool I roam;
But He’s coming to take me some glorious day,
Over there to my heavenly home!

Refrain

Love,

Mary

Mary,

Amen

Lord Bless,

LT

Just having salvation makes us rich in Him. We can expand our bank account in the Lord by spending time with Him, studying His word & talking to Him as we would anyone else & most of all listening to Him & obeying His commands. That is the true source of wealth.

Amen Tammy yeah so true obeying his commandments is the key to success

awwww, Amen

our AAG family is so Blessed

Hon, you know I've had issues over this one.  Cause my church believes God wants us to be prosperous.  And when you read things like "you will not borrow, but you will lend to many nations", it can leave you wondering.

So was that a promise God made to all of us or to Abraham or what?

Well, there are also scripture that point to a gift of poverty...those who voluntarily live below their means in order to help others.  So how does prosperity fit in there?

And there is the all time scripture...you will prosper, even as your soul prospers.

But that does not say you will prosper "financially".

I do believe God helps us to become better and thereby obtain more financially.  Yet there is also the evil in the world that can keep us in poverty despite all our efforts.  And sometimes God will offer a miracle to pull one from that.  Others, He just keeps getting us through it...not always at our best though unfortunately.

So what about the prosperity gospel?  I give it a neutral.  I do believe God wants us to prosper, but that His idea of prosperity for each of us may differ from our own idea.  He didn't promise financial wealth.  But He did promise to sustain us.  And when times are there worst, it's hard to see how He will do that.

AMEN so true char ur a wise women :)
