All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

WHAT IS THE ONE PERSONAL TESTIMONY THAT OUR LORD LEADS YOU TO SHARE MOST OFTEN WITH AN UNBELIEVER

I believe that in our Christian lives, everyday is a testimony to the goodness and faithfulness of God. Sometimes they may get overlooked in the rush of our daily lives if we do not stay alert.
There are several personal testimonies God has led me to share with unbelievers and even believers who have been in need of hearing certain ones when faced with trials or struggling with their faith as we all sometimes do.
The ones I most often feel led to share are about answered prayer and sometimes even the blessing of unanswered prayer.
I must look like a million watt lightbulb when I share them as I get so excited about reliving the miracles God has done in my life that I can witness to.
What are some of your personal testimonies you are most often led to share with an unbeliever?
Would love to hear from you all on this.

Peace,love and blessings
Nancy. :)

Hi Nancy - great question!

The testimony that I love sharing about how God worked in my life is: when I was going through my depression I was trying to figure out what life was all about. I was totally confused - full of hatred and many negative thoughts and emotions. Then one day I just shouted out aloud in my bedroom " God, I wish I could live my life like how they lived in the Bible (Christians). About 3 weeks later a friend invited me to study the Bible! Amazing - an answered prayer. God is amazing.

Good post sister.

In His love,

You are a wonderful Brother, what a blessing to hear your testimony.

Hi Sis,

This is not a full reply as I have about 1/2 a dozen other posts I need to respond to first. But I just want to say I really relate to what you said about how you must look like a million watt light bulb when you relive the miracles you have experienced as you witness to ppl, because ppl always tell me I am just glowing so it is obvious to them whatever I have brings me a lot of joy and peace. Also, wherever I go, ppl smile back at me or say hello, because they see me smiling at them. I am not even aware that I am doing it- its just that I am so full of God's peace and joy that I'm smiling without realizing it.This in itself is a witness that ppl see since so many ppl walk around with a frown on their faces and the weight of the world on their shoulders. A real smile from within only comes from knowing Jesus and is a greater starter for a winess!

Nancy

You have traveled a hard road.  It has brought forth who you are, Grace By The Lake.

Thank you. Sister

Amen, Char.

I have seen God work such a beautiful way in you.  You will see the vision and so much more.  The desire to serve and know is clear.

My worst habit is forgetting where I put things. I am forever asking God to help me locate something. I speak these requests aloud for help in finding some lost object. God never fails to show me where it is. Through my family and friends seeing me do it, requesting help from God to locate something lost, they are practicing it as well. To me, this is teaching them to trust God, even in the smallest things, which is where we sometimes think God won't respond. God is in the big things, but in the small things as well.

Blessings.....

Amen I do this too, and have witnessed God in this area with others, my children still remember losing something when out with their grandma, and after looking for an hour,  praying and there it was. This happened some time ago now but they still recall which tells of the fact they knew it was something out of the ordinary that had happened, indeed that it was from God. Yesterday, my daughter who's away for the week, rang me and told me she'd lost part of her earring, she said I was so upset, I looked for ages, I didn't know what to do, my fave earring and to replace the missing part was £10 blah blah, anyway she then said , which made me so happy, I prayed and there it was on a leaf!!!!. AMEN. Thanks be to Jesus , he is working in my children's lives all the time.

p.s I am forever forgetting why I went into the next room, I think is all part of getting older lol. Also having so much on your mind at times. (not worries just things to do etc). Happy to say God has freed me from stressing and worrying, I used to spend a lot of time doing that. Once my mum rang me... she hadn't been able to get through the day before, my mother is a beautiful woman of God, and she said I was so worried, I thought you'd had a nervous breakdown (my mum thinks I have a very stressful life but even though I do at times I have coped this long lol, )She said oh I kept trying and was thinking the worse etc etc, I said MUM don't worry, why do you worry, I don't worry anymore (I'd not long been saved) Give you're worries to the Lord. I think mum was little taken aback but we laughed and she said of course, you're right. She was still extra happy at hearing more about the fact I was now living for Jesus, I know she has prayed for this for a long long time. :) Now we join in praying for my sister to come to the Lord, but I know He will do everything in His own good time, look how long it took me to listen.

Hi Sister Nancy, and Brothers and Sisters,

Probably my emphasis on being a child of God, and a Brother of the Lord Jesus Christ, is a ready smile and an encouraging word to folks - both believers and non. Kinda like Jane.

But, to take it another step ....... I try to discourage complaining, grumbling, and murmuring (I like that KJV word).

You see and hear this constantly - work settings, neighbors, family, and yes, church.

Ever notice all the references to this matter in the Bible?

Also, ever notice how much God doesn't like it? He thought about "taking out" his chosen people a couple of times  on the trail during the great exodus from Egypt. Murmuring, complaining........... BAD!

Obviously, there's a lot going on in the world today........... and I'm sure in people's lives...... that can cause one to cringe.

But how we deal with it, oh yeah, how we deal with it,...................

That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.

Grace and Peace.

Hi Richard,

You have a secret admirer as you are quickly becoming one of my favorites on here...is this brother funny or what?! But yes the Word says where there is strife there is every evil work, and strife is as the sin of witchcraft. I listened to a Bible teaching tape one time on the subject of strife and it has become one of the key teachings of my Christian walk. Until I heard it I didn't even know words and behaviors I had and most ppl have are so destructive. Now, I can discern very easily when the devil is sending strife my way through ppl and I don't support it. Its not about having a nice sense of humor, but its the way of the world that many of us grew up under that we don't know are not pleasing to God.

Not that you look old, because I'm getting old lol, but your pic sort of reminds me of my Grandpa. He wasn't even a Christian, but the guy had a ready smile and a sweet attitude with ppl and when he died almost everybody in the entire city attended his funeral. Seems ppl remembered his wonderful disposition, because not everybody can put a smile on their face and encourage others. I guess ppl don't forget that.

Hi Nancy,

Very wonderful question.

Just today, before the month end, I reached my monthly quota. I thank God for answering my prayers. I'm amazed at His ways. I can't imagine how BIG our God is. As I began my journey with Him, He is removing all the things that displeases Him. First, I had stop my vices and I was very surprised how fast it happened, then He has taken me away from living with someone without the blessing of marriage, and that one was very painful. (and honestly, still struggling to let go and let God.)  I believe that He has doing all things for my good. I love Jesus, how He just died for me. I pray that God will change me completely , to be what He wants me to be. If I think of His plans He stores for me, can't help but cry, a cry of joy and happiness. I just hate myself when I know what God wants me to do, then still do what I want. I believe that God will also show His glory to my family and friends. I thank God for everything.

*Philippians 4:13
