EMERGENCY PRAYER FOR HAITI, AND SURROUNDING AREA

Merciful Father, Praise Your Holy Name. Lord, I pray for Mercy for the people of Haiti, and all around her. Put Your Angels around this country, so many are suffering tonight. The only help is You, many are trapped, hurt, dead tonight. There is no outside help tonight, they only have You. Strengthen them, comfort them. Thank You that as soon as possible the U.S. will be there. Thank You for the generous, compassion heart of this country. My heart is breaking for all those suffering. Your… Continue

WHAT IS SIN ?

1 John 3:4 "Sin is the transgression of the law."

Sinner, did you ever inquire what sin is? Did you ever study the Word of God, that you might have proper views of this greatest of all evils? If you have never made the inquiry, your state is bad, dreadfully bad. Your salvation is at stake. Look seriously into the text. Lift up your heart to God, and say, "Lord, give me proper views of sin." "Sin is the transgression of the law." What law? The law of the most holy God. Where is this… Continue

What God Expects US to Know

Through general observation, I noticed Christians frequently suffer from self-induced conceptual confinement regarding how they should engage life’s ordinary challenges. Moreover, I hereby publically acknowledge that I am one of those afflicted. To explain, we allow apprehension to torment us. Then decide we want to receive an answer directly from God to the question…what is my destiny? Such a simple question, yet it embodies tremendous consequence. The question usually lingers until… Continue

donations of vegetable seeds needed to help feed starving kids

Our goal is to collect 10,000 plus packages of vegetable seeds to feed the homeless kids and orphans in Bibiani Ghana.

With the 10,000 plus packages of vegetable seeds our source can build a village garden with enough vegetables to feed these kids.

These children usually only get one meal a day if lucky and that usually consist of beans or rice, thats why many of these kids are malnourished.

The vegetables grown in the community garden can provide these kids with… Continue

“ONLY TWO PERCENT!”

Matthew 6:12-15

“Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. . . For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your… Continue

Depression Because of Unemployment

With the economy being the way it is, I am sure there are many on this site who are dealing with unemployment. Unemploment can cause you to become bored, lazy, and eventually depressed. Conditions such as this could also make us become weak in faith if we don't be careful. Jesus calls us to commit our lives to an invisible kingdom, the "kingdom of heaven". Our status in this world does not guarantee our status in the kingdom of heaven. So if anybody starts to feel discouraged or depressed,… Continue

"You are Mine"

“You are mine”

“I have called you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you.

For I am the Lord your God,

the Holy One of Israel, your Savior . . .

You are precious in my sight and honored, and I love you . . . Fear not, for I am with you . . . I have blotted out like a thick cloud your… Continue

ARE YOU PRAYING OUT OF YOUR FEARS OR OUT OF THE PROMISES OF GOD?

"If it pleases God to sustain by other means than bread, it will be done. His word can be trusted. God fed Israel with manna, sent by His word, and we can trust His promises." - People's New Testament

Matthew 4:4 says - "But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."

Hebrew 11:6 says - "But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and… Continue

THE POWER OF “NOTHING” PART 1 ____ NOTHING TO PROVE

“ Nothing to prove ” has correlation with the attitude of humility which should be owned by every Christian. Let us look at the life of Judas Iscariot, the last seconds before he kissed Jesus as a sign of arrests for Roman soldiers, Jesus Christ in his capacity as Lord could be "tempted" to prove who He really is. But Jesus did not do that. He was not trying to prove who He is, though He was under highest pressure, which He knew with certainty that the worst episode in His life he will soon… Continue

Being Catholic But Preferring Non Denominatioal

Hello everyone and God bess. I have been thinking about this and I believe God put it in my heart to share this with others. I am a Byzantine Catholic and I worship the Lord in my church. It is the church I grew up in and it is the church where I feel closest to the Lord. In the past few years I have taken more of a role in my church. I often get to read the Epistle (commonly known as the Letters of the New Testament), which is read before the Priest reads from the Gospel. I enjoy reading for… Continue

ABUNDANT WEALTH--ABUNDANT HEALTH

Abundant Wealth -- Abundant Health

by Dr. Larry Ollison

In John 10:10, Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." As for me, I've had nothing and I've had a lot. I've been sick and I've been well. And I'll tell you what I think. Being well with money is a whole lot more fun than being sick with nothing. The choice is up to us. The scripture says, ". I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore,… Continue

God's Unfailing Love

His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of a man; the LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love. (Psalm 147:10-11 NIV)

God’s delight or pleasure is not in the mighty, the noble, the majestic or beautiful things. It’s not physical or material greatness, wealth or power that God (Jehovah) favors. It’s not the strong and athletic who do great deeds or possess physical beauty and prowess that please… Continue

In Facing our Adversity .....What does it means to be complete? A Life to Live to the Fullest....(Part 8)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic Image and video hosting by TinyPic We want to be spiritually grown, but we don't like growing because growing hurts.

Growing can be painful. For example, some children have "growing pains" because of their rapid growth.

This can also be true spiritually. Specifically, God may stretch you by putting uncomfortable circumstances in your life. Why? He uses the hard times to stretch your faith, your patience, and your love. This stretching is what causes growth: "For our light…

This might offend you - not for the faint of heart

On spiritual growth . . . not for the faint of heart

Good Day.

One other thought keeps creeping in—is there any room?

When I decide to get physically fit, I must make room in my life for exercise and giving attention to proper nutrition . . . and the same thing applies if I want to get spiritually fit. I must make room. I mean, really, you invite God “in” and give him what—a little corner of yourself? ‘Come on in, God, change me, grow me—I’ve given you this little bit of… Continue
