Matthew 23:8-11: "But you, do not be called 'Rabbi'; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. And do not be called teachers; for One is your…

“O to know purpose and meaning in this life!” That has been the cry of humanity since Solomon expressed “Vanity of Vanities! Life is meaningless!” To know that we were created for a purpose is to be rich indeed! The first steps have been taken in the discovery of our purpose—an understanding that:
>God has a purpose for each of us
>God created us in his image
>Before we were even born, God knew us—God had a plan for us
>His plans for us include a…

Every day millions of people throughout the world worry about one thing or another. Christians also worry about their situations in life such as finances, sickness, death, families, love ones, children and their status in life.
As Christians we should not worry, but have faith in God and trust in His words. Worry is the worst thief of all. When we worry it robs us of peace and fulfillment, and we face physical…

"If you experience peculiar sadness, and you are persuaded that God is with you and, through his love, is making you increasingly fruitful, your emotional limp will be less noticeable."
"Our cultural narrative for depression is that it is a mental illness best treated with medication and some cognitive restructuring. This hasn’t always been…

god means for your life to have purpose…
read this verse with that in mind:
¨And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.1 We begin with these profound words that Paul wrote to the church at Rome; two thousand years later, we children of God still count on the hope and the promise of this verse! Today I read ‘called according to His purpose’ with fresh…

To my dear friends who read my blog, I pray that you will be encouraged by it and that you will get closer to God through it.
While I was on holiday here in Coventry, UK, my dear friend and I went to a midweek service of which he is part of the Worship Team. It was nice to get together with his church family again as I had already met them on the Sunday.
After the Word of God was preached, people were encouraged to go out for prayer. I didn't think I needed prayer at…

If you were to measure the width of your face, including ears, it would probably be within 12 inches.
Okay, now measure vertically from the top of your head, including hair, if any, to the bottom of your chinney chin chin. About 12 - 15 inches, right?
Alright, in this 12 X 15 inch frame is basically our recognizable self. We take pictures for identification, driving, our sweeties, etc. and means of recognizing each other is found in this "frame of…

Christian Fathers
The greatest commandment in Scripture is this: “Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength” (Deuteronomy 6:5). Going back to verse 2, we read, “So that you, your children and their children after them may fear the LORD your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life.” Following Deuteronomy 6:5, we read, “These…

"God will eventually test you in all areas of your life, but He will not let your trials become greater than you can bear. Let God use trials to help you grow. Do not measure your progress, your strength, or what God is doing. His work is not less efficient because what He is…

How often does God answer your prayers? Of course, we know that God always answers prayers, it’s just that his answer is not always what we were hoping for. ‘No’ is technically an answer to our prayers. But how often does God give you what you are asking of him in prayer? How often does God say ‘Yes’?
During…

“Oh how love I Thy law! it is my meditation all the day.” Psalm 119:97
Christianity is not a legal relationship, it is a love relationship. Ten thousand “don'ts” will never make you one iota more like the Lord Jesus Christ. It is Jesus Himself Who makes you like Him. But you…
