Something to share

This past couple of weeks God has been stirring up something in me to truly change the way I follow and serve Him. I have been reading this book called Crazy Love by Francis Chan. Chapter 5 truly kicked me in the teeth about the way I selfishly have been using my life to serve myself.

Last night I sort of did this mental purging in my life where one by one I mentally placed everything at the foot of the cross in my life. All material possessions and mental ideas of what I am…

My walk with the Master

This morning when I awoke, I decided to share a testimony, in my own humble way

I have been prompted by God’s Holy Spirit to write one today.…

greater Love

Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience, Bear with each other and forgive whatever. grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all togather in perfect unitiy.

Christian Friendship Poem

Christian Friendship Poem (author unknown).

I love you not only for what you are,

But for what I am when I am with you;

I love you not only for what you have made of yourself,

But for what you are making of me;

I love you not for closing your ears to the discords in me,

But for adding to the music in me by worshipful listening;

You have done it without a touch, without a word, without a sign.

You have…

Poem: A Sinner Like Me

Pushing this flesh into alignment,

guided by The Word most holy and pure,

I'm striving to learn principles

for a sanctified life to endure.

My Lord loves me without hesitation

and allowed a part of Himself to die.

He's calling me homeward without reservation;

by His Spirit, to His side, I'll eventually fly.

Knowing I'm a child of His,

during trying times I find true encouragement.

I'm able to lean on His strength

while in search of…

Poem: His Blessings

His blessings upon my life flow -

No matter where I am

or wherever I happen to go.

Overcoming the curse of Mankind,

is a consuming, infinite Love

from the One declared divine.

As I continue inside His Will,

sheltered by Sacrificial grace,

His many promises are fulfilled.

Truly blessed, to be a blessing

is simple for anyone to see -

As I'm fully submerged... in God's covering.

Joyful living requires giving.

Joyful living requires giving.

Most people are selfish and self-centered, focusing only on what benefits them. Such thinking claims that the more you have, the more you accumulate, and the more attention you receive, the happier you'll be.…

Simply by being in your presence, non-Christians ought to be able to tell that you have spent time in God's presence.

Simply by being in your presence, non-Christians ought to be able to tell that you have spent time in God's presence.

In Acts 4, Peter and John were brought to the rulers and elders of the people (v. 8) to be questioned by them. But when Peter and John came to those people, who were Jews, they were astonished [by Peter and John]and they took note that these men had been with…

Being Humble Before God

Being Humble Before God

Are you humbling yourself before God your Creator and drawing nearer to Him each day?  We need to follow the example of the great Bible characters and humble ourselves before our Creator and Redeemer.

True holiness and humility are inseparable.  The nearer the…

domino"s

I have shared things from my past, throwing rocks and fits.  Turning my back and things like that.

But, the sum total for all those things comes down to this.  If I were to walk away, where would I go ?

Do I think, His Love for me is false ?  Or in some way, I could change His Love ?  I wonder if we believe

that if we fight, kick and scream, He will help us quicker ?  If somehow He can be stronger or make a special

exception just "us."  We give our hearts to Jesus, we… Continue

Time to say Good Bye. Romans 16

Not so quick!  It would be easy to glance at the last chapter of Romans and think, ‘oh, Paul is just greeting a number of folks…we can pass on that.’  There are some great things to note; take a look:

“Before I commend to you our…

Abundance

Psa 66:12  You caused men to ride over us. You brought us through fire and water, but you led us to abundance.

We should declare unto those that fear God, what he has done for our souls, and how he has heard and answered our prayers, inviting them to join us in prayer and praise; this will turn to our mutual comfort, and to the glory of God. We cannot share these spiritual privileges, if we retain the love of sin in our hearts, though we refrain from the gross practice,…

Take comfort..

Pro.3:5 Trust the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding.

When things are so black, when it looks as if no hope can be found. Do not rely on your own understanding. When things are past our knowledge, for me most things are, Trust the Lord.

I have tried almost all other ways. They all dead end. They all rely on what I know, what I think.

When I have walked away, where did I go ? Did I find more truth in another way. No.

Hear me know take a… Continue

I CONFESS

For the past few months I have been absent for which I sincerely apologize. Some of the reasons for my absence is due to discouragement, depression , illness and spiritual illness. I have been struggling esp. with my spirituality. I must admit I am very discouraged, frustrated, and very tired. To some extend this has been brought on by my work (with homeless men), spiritual decay as I see it in the Lord's church. Another reason for my condition is my own…

Paul’s best-laid plans. Romans 15.23-33

It seems that Paul has always been a man with a plan.  And as we draw to the close of his letter to the Romans, he makes his plans known.  His calling has been to preach the Gospel where it had not been taught and leave the rest to someone else.  He has a plan for the current space in time, and what comes next.  Paul also values the support of fellow believers, enlisting…

The Glory of the New Covenant

Wow! What a fantastic description of the Glory of the Old and New Testaments.

2 Corinthians 3:7-18

7 Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was,…

Words of The Day

Revelation Chapter  22

1And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. …
