Introduction: Welcome to New Life in Christ. This morning we are starting in Chapter 15 of the Book of Luke in our verse-by-verse teaching series out of that book.
Read Luke 15:1-10
Opening Prayer
I’ve heard about a little six-year old boy who restlessly struggled to listen to a rather lengthy sermon. After the service, the little boy asked the question that sooner or later most "church kids" ask. "Dad" he said, "what does the preacher do the rest of the week?"…

PSALM 70
When affliction is all around us and the darkness of this world surrounds us, TRUST IN THE LORD to deliver us. HE is the ONLY power that can overthrow the darkness.
Let me be your lighthouse,
Your port in every storm
Come to me, my beloved child
I’ll keep you safe and warm
When oceans swell around you,
You can banish all your fear
I’ll pluck you from the surging sea
Just trust that I am here.
In His…

THEY THAT SOW IN TEARS SHALL REAP IN JOY.
For every hurt ever dealt to us, every pain inflicted on us and any adversity that threatens to fall upon us we are told by Our Heavenly Father to never be discouraged. From God comes this promise that our tears and sorrows He will turn to Joy. There is no man or anything in this world that can steal the joy that lives in our very hearts and souls. Many will come and attempt to strip us down to the bone but they cannot touch our…

Many have asked me at times "How on earth do you forgive when this person or that person has hurt you and been malicious towards you?" Lord , it is not easy for us as humans but the answer is indeed very simple. You have made it so much easier for us to do this.
I Thank God He found me and my answer IS simple "JESUS!!!!"
I have learned lately that , no, it does not excuse that person or say that they are not responsible for their actions as surely as I am indeed responsible for my own…

The last week has made one thing crystal clear to me—God is in control, and I am not. Plus, there is no one like our God.
Even if the students will not admit it, there is something exciting about the first day of school. For the large public high school, where my son is a junior, this year’s first day proved to be just a little too exciting. About an hour after school started, the students were made aware of an emergency on…

Greetings Child of God,
I trust that the Lord has been good to you. The Lord has given me this prophetic word for you today. God wants us I this season to be in a position of travail to give birth to that which you have been carrying. There are conceived God given dreams, vision and ideas that we have been carrying and this is the season that the Lord wants us to bring them forth into reality. Every pregnant woman has to…

I have a pre-op appointment tomorrow, Sept. 14th, to start the process for eye surgery to remove Cataracts from both eyes and implant a flexible lens in each eye. The operation on one eye first and then a month later the other eye. I am praying that through the surgeons hands and skill that God will guide him and that my eyesight will be restored so I can again enjoy reading. The cataracts make my eyes tire quickly and I also only have a small area to one side that I can see fairly clear to…

We want as well as need to know the Will of God. It is His Will that is perfect not our own.
Rom 12:2 tells how to know what His Will for us is. The NIV says :Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. Then…

A mother was concerned about her kindergarten son walking to school.
He didn't want his mother to walk with him.
She wanted to give him the feeling that he had some independence but yet know that he was safe.
So she had an idea of how to handle it.
She asked a neighbour if she would please follow him to school in the mornings, staying at a distance,
So he probably…

You know how when we look at something and we identify it as, let’s say blue.
Then we have something else to compare it to that maybe more blue, a true blue.
Then all of a sudden what was blue is no longer as blue.
So it is w/ our lives. As Christians we must follow the teachings of Christ.
And the leading of Holy Ghost, that is what our spirits responses to, nothing else.
Anything other than that we get in trouble. From envy to insecurity, and everything else.
When…

Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you for being with me
I just want you to know
That my heart still believes in fairy tales
Can You help me let that go?
I don't want to hang on
To anything but You
Will You please just help me
Let go of dreams that don't come true?
Lead me where You want me Lord
Steer my mind and heart away
From the memories of fairy tales
That invade my mind today.
Thankyou Father for all I Do…

So in my journey of familiarizing myself with the Bible as well as hearing sermons at my church I have come to the realization that women seemed to stir up trouble in those days! Now please bear with me as I am not familiar with all verses and books of this one Great Book but I will break it down for you all:
The lady of all ladies...EVE:
So Eve convinced Adam to eat from the forbidden apple after God SPECIFICALLY told them both not to touch that tree or any of…

Did you know that Rome has a slightly different version of the Ten Commandments from the original ones that God gave to Moses. They removed the second commandment, altered the forth, and split the tenth into two commandments, 9 & 10
Have a look please and let me know what you think. I have the answers to why they changed it, but thought it would be interesting to see your thoughts and comments on it.…
