Nehemiah’s life is an example of leadership and organization. Nehemiah gave up a comfortable and wealthy position in Persia to return to his fractured homeland of his ancestors Israel. He rallied his fellow country men to rebuild Jerusalem’s wall. In the face of fierce opposition, he used wise defense measures to care for God’s people and kept the project going on up to its completion. More for the sake of Gods kingdom we must pray, persevere, and sacrifice as did his servant Nehemiah.

Beware of the treachery of others. Invest  your time with people of integrity. Listen to the wisdom of your commander. Don’t embrace the wisdom of the world. Worldly desires will lead us away from God. We have freedom to live morally, not freedom to sin. God will not ignore sins. Examine ourselves to see where we are.
