Minute meditation for each day (8)

“Do not grow slack but be fervent in spirit.” Rom.12:11

Reflection:

O how often I defraud God in the small events of daily life. Sometimes I do so by my lack of fervor, and at other times by aspiring to great things and grand actions for my own pride.

Yet God does not look upon “how much” but rather on the “how;” therefore a small thing becomes great if it is done with much love.

Prayer:

“Heavenly Father, grant that I may be…

Hinduism in India: An Odd Religion

What is Hinduism? One of the world's oldest religions with a pantheon of gods, colorful festivals and nearly 1 billion adherents.  But that's not all. "Hinduism is an odd religion. It works very well as a way of life but no longer works as a faith. It's too old, too corrupt, has moved too far from its raison d'être. For the educated urban Indian, Hinduism is a cultural rather than religious identity. ... But there…

Prayer For The Day!

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for all your wonderful gifts. I am especially thankful for the gift of discernment. Thank you, for the many times You have saved me from bad situations that I would have engaged in, if it were not for You warning me. I do thank you for spiritual eyesight. Lord, I pray today that I will always walk in Your way and will seek to avoid strife and be a peace maker. You said, "Blessed are the peace makers". I need Your blessings…

God bless you!

Verse 30 We might phrase this admonition as Dont start a fight without a reason. Some people just love to argue.

Verse 31 Sometimes it seems that oppressors are better off than those seeking to do what is right. However, Psalm 37:1-9 tells us not to envy such people or choose to follow their ways:

Fret not thyself because…

Minute meditation for each day (7)

“God who is mighty has done great things for me, holy is His name.” Lk.1:49

Reflection:

Every passing day tells me that I am a child of grace: God’s benefits are innumerable in my daily life.

This is why I wish to give Him thanks through my dedication and fidelity until I die.

Prayer:

“Lord, do not let me refuse your mercy. Forgive my abuses of Your grace. In the future be merciful and lenient toward me. In…

The rapture and persecution-here's some encourgement

I was laying down today. It was too cold to get up and I was still tired. I was talking to our Abba. I forget the discussion but I remember this coming to my mind.

We all know the rapture is very near. But, persecution seems very close as well.

Here's some encourgement. If we do so happen to be facing some kind of persecution and the rapture happens, whether it's prison or something harsher, who knows, there's good news. :)

Let's say we're being…

Grace and sanctification- oh how beautiful!

How beautiful is it to know about His Grace and sanctification?

Grace. We're saved. We're always going to belong to Him now. He protects us and teaches us. He loves us but also tells us what we're doing wrong.

Sanctification. We mess up. You and I sin many times a day. It's going to be like that until we go home to be with Jesus. We can try [and only succed with the help of the Holy Spirit] to do better [repent] and not sin as much. No matter what though we will…

Prayer For The Day!

Dear Father, Thank for the book of Proverbs. There is so much good advice in this book Help me to take it to heart and apply it to my life. I see there is much is this book about relationships. Lord, I know if I am to be in a right relationship with You, I must be in a right relationship with my family, friends and neighbors. Help me to be a good neighbor. Help me also be sensitive to the needs of others. Help me guard my mouth and forgive me, as I have at…

Minute meditation for each day (6)

“Rise up in splendor! Your light has come, the glory of the Lord shines upon you.” Is.60:1

Reflecton:

Christ reveals His glory. Therefore I too must try to be a manifestation of God. I must be a living testimony to His glory, always trying to deepen my spiritual life – according to Christ’s spirit and will – in poverty, humility, and love for God and others.

Can I say that I am an “epiphany,” that is, God’s manifestation? What do I lack in this…

LOST

Jesus calls out to us--his lost. There’s no better time than now to pause for a moment and ask ourselves, “Am I headed in the right direction in my life? Does Christ live in me? Am I dead to sin or dead in it?”

Sin is not well understood. It is one of those words that is thrown around a lot in Christian circles. Sometimes it is even hurled…

Poem: Supremacy of Christ

Behold the first-born of creation,

One to Whom was given all dominion.

He is worthy of our heart-felt praise;

therefore, honor Him, all of your days!

Guard yourself against ungodly deceptions;

increase your spirit’s awareness and perception.

We possess the skills to repeatedly circumvent

the problems of life… via our skills and talents.

Since we’ve been made in the…

Poem: Inward and Outward Man

Although I don’t have a split personality,

it's certainly interesting to see a new way

of looking at myself… in terms of duality.

I seem to be in conflict with God’s plan,

dealing with struggles of an imbalanced stand

that occurs between my inward and outward man.

Even though my outward man is perishing,

the unseen inward man is under a daily renewing –

provided The Word, I’m still consuming.

Therefore,…

Minute meditation for each day (5)

“The Teacher is here, asking for you.” John.11:28

Reflection:

God calls me through the medium of my duty. But He also calls me through the events of every day and every hour – the interruptions and contradictions He sends. Am I always aware of this?

There is only one response to this Divine call. It is a courageous and faithful “I am ready.”

Prayer:

“Heavenly Father, help me to hear Your call in all that happens to me. Let…

The Lord is faithful!

Have you ever thought that you have been forgotten by God? Sometimes we go  through a lot of turmoil, that can sometimes have us questioning God's care  about us? Sometimes we can be like Habakkuk with a burden about the wickedness  that we see in the land, and wonder where is God and his justice? As the word of  God says in Habakkuk 1:1-2. The burden which the prophet Habakkuk saw. O Lord,  how long shall I cry, And You will not hear? Even cry out to You," Violence!'  And You will not…
