Galatians 5:13-15 Let us not use our freedom to gratify your flesh.

For you, brothers, were called to freedom. Only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity to gratify your flesh, but through love make it your habit to serve one another. For the whole Law is summarized in a single statement: "You must love your neighbor as yourself." But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you are not destroyed by each other. The gospel is a doctrine according to godliness, 1 tim 6:3

If anyone teaches false doctrine and refuses to agree with the…

This is quite interesting...

As some of you may know one of my interests is anatomy, topics on the human body. You could say I also study people. I take an interest in why people do certain things and their reasoning;like their mind set.

Well, there's something very interesting. I've been thinking while watching this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dPJQ8Jve1E about our resurrected bodies. We will still have physicaly bodies in…

Prayer For The Day

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for forgiving me of all the things that I have said that have not agreed with Your Word. Father, please cancel all of the negative words that I have spoken against anyone. Lord, I truly want to use my tongue in a godly manner by speaking those things that will bless and edify others. Teach me how to pray correctly and may my lips now speak Your Word. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight. I ask this in the name…

DETESTABLE THINGS TO GOD

Seven Detestable Things

Read Proverbs 6:12-15

(Prov 6:16-19 NIV)  There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: {17} haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, {18} a heart that…

In John 13:34-35, Jesus instructed us—His followers—to love others: "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." As Christians, learning to walk in love should be a very high priority.…

Prayer For The Day

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that You would deliver Your people from the sin of gossip and being busy-bodies. Lord, may we help those who are engaged in this activity by speaking the truth in love to them. Lord, may we also have the courage to refuse a listening ear to any gossip. Father, give me strength to take care of my duties and not be negligent in anything that is my responsibility. Lord, also help me to speak edifying things that uplift and help people and deliver me from any form of…

I was brought up to follow Christ

The New Heaven and the New Earth: God is preparing a new dwelling and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Once the Kingdom of God arrives in its fullness at the end of time there will be a renewal of the universe in Christ. Scripture uses many images to describe this mysterious reality. There will be a new heaven and a new earth:

"Creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay". The holy city of Jerusalem will descend from heaven to…

Way, Truth, Life. John 14.3-6

Way, Truth, and Life.  John 14.3-6         And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”  Thomas said to…

What do you do?

What do you do when you see yourself as an offense to others? Like the only black sheep in the bunch...

When you know that even just saying something could cause people heartache...

What do you do when there's so much spiritual warefare going on around you...you don't know where to turn?

When you're so tired and weary you feel like crying...

My question is...what do you do in such situations?

Poem: Beware the Antichrist

Heed this warning: Beware the Antichrist!

We know from Christ’s revelation to Man,

that the ‘End Times’ officially began in 1948

with Israel reclaiming their ancestral land.

Be aware and be not deceived.

For this evil soul shall rise up - from obscurity.

Out from the descendants of Dan

the World will take notice of Satan’s emissary.

Although the Antichrist should be easy to…

Poem: Remembering Pentecost

On that fateful day of Pentecost,

power came down from on high.

For it originated with God’s presence

and His Kingdom, that’s far beyond our sky.

The ascension of Christ had been witnessed,

with Him clearly rising above the clouds;

He was no longer bound by planetary constraint

and the opinionated amazement of the crowd.

Upon the Earth, a violent breeze blew;

it brought forth…

Value what you have!

The owner of a small business, a friend of the poet Olavo Bilac, met him on the street and asked him: “Mr.Bilac, I need to sell my small farm, the one you know so well. Could you please write an announcement for me for the paper?”

Bilac wrote: “For Sale, a beautiful property, where birds sing at dawn in extensive woodland, bisected by the brilliant and sparkling waters of a large stream. The house is bathed by the rising sun. It offers tranquil shade in the…

Galatians 5:7-12 The Life of a Christian is a race

The life of a Christian is a race, wherein he must run, and hold on, if he would obtain the prize. It is not enough that we profess Christianity, but we must run well, by living up to that profession. Many who set out fairly in religion, are hindered in their progress, or turn out of the way. It concerns those who begin to turn out of the way, or to tire in it, seriously to inquire what hinders them. The opinion or persuasion, Gal 5:8,…

Good News about Heaven! John 14.1-3

Good News about Heaven!  “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that…

Evil for Good, Good for Evil

I try to keep from editorializing in my blog as much as I can. I enjoy writing about God's Word and lessons we as Christians can learn from it. But last week I was very disheartened by a company that, up until now, had taken a bold, Christian stance on the subject of traditional marriage. Then last week they decided to remain silent on the issue and, as a statement from…

What If? (Again)

What if the time comes that you need to give all you have? What if God ask you to give it all? Will you give it just like our God did, when He gave his only Son for us? Will you give all your time, even it will take your time with your family, yourself and even to be with your love ones? Yesterday I started to read the 1 week plan for reading the bible; it is started from the start where Jesus was born. I really want to start reading from that kind of start, when all things have begun. It…

Prayer For The Day

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for all of the things You are doing in my life. Lord, I do want to have a listening and obedient ear to all You are speaking to me. Lord, help me to obey quickly when You speak to me to do something. Lord, I do want to overcome my flesh and walk in the spirit and always have faith and trust in You. I choose to do it Your way and not mine, no matter what the cost, as I want to go all the way with You. Remove anything from my heart that would hinder my walk…
