AN EFFECTIVE WAY TO GET A PRAYER THROUGH TO GOD!

"I am Thine. Thy enemies wish to destroy me! Lord, look to Thy servant; Thy servant looks to Thee. O how sovereign is such a word against all the evils of life! I am Thine! therefore save Thine Own!" - Adam Clarke

"Consecration is a good plea for preservation. If we are conscious that we are the Lord's, we may be confident that He will save us." - Charles Spurgeon

"I am Thy servant" - What an effective plea for favor, help, and deliverance from God.

Prayer Request for my son's special friend--- Chelsea Malig

“And their prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make them well. And anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results.”

James 5:15-16 (NLT)

What if????

WHAT IF?

Yes . . . what if you did?

What if you really did want to grow?

What if you really did want to grow spiritually in 2010?

Yesterday, I suggested that you might go into training, just as an Olympic athlete does. The training that nets spiritual dividends most certainly would include Bible study and prayer, and should include worship of God, service, and giving. While some might stifle a yawn at the thought of Bible reading and prayer, I want to… Continue

Confidence Centered in Christ

4 And we have such trust through Christ toward God. 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.2 Corinthians 3:4-6

Confidently trusting the Lord brings many blessings. These include spiritual growth, personal achievement, peace, and… Continue

Greatest Moment of my Life

In June of 1993 I gave birth to a beautiful little girl. The delivery was difficult and because she was backwards I had to have a C-Section. Complications arose and I had to be completely sedated. I vaguely remember waking up, I was strapped down, very disoriented, afraid, and in severe pain. However, the only thought in my head was "Where is my Baby?". I could see the lights over my head as they rolled me from the delivery room to the recovery room, I was crying very hard and still hadn't seen… Continue

A New Year . . . so, let's grow!

One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Paul, Ephesians 3.13,14

Happy New Year! >This would be a good briefing to print, and respond in writing~

What will this year hold for you? There will be smiles, struggles, sin, satisfaction--the stuff our lives are made of. While nothing magical happens when we turn the calendar page to… Continue

Rambling: Reunited

This afternoon I watched briefly as the remains of the Calgary Herald Reporter and the four soldiers were removed from the Air Force Plane and placed into one of the five hearses. Then the families, loved ones and friends each placed a rose, white, yellow or red on the coffins that contained remains of loved ones. I have watched this scene numerous times but never did it move me as it did today. Each family member, each wife, sister, daughter, brother, son, each friend had looked forward to… Continue

MANSFIELD -- He's only 9 years old, but Sam Bish is fighting as dreadful a disease as anyone could endure.

Five months ago, the boy was diagnosed with osteosarcoma.

His mother Cindy is hoping her former community will step up to help. Cindy, 36, is a 1991 Mansfield Christian graduate.

"This summer we noticed that Sam was complaining about pain in his right leg," Cindy said. "We just thought it was growing pains, so… Continue

Unite in Prayer

May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. - 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Holiness means wholeness. God wants holy people who are whole-hearted and true, for His service and for the work of praying. These are the sort of people God wants leaders and these are the kind out of which the praying class is formed.

When a person prays every part of his being… Continue

The Power of Confidence

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Paul was a confident man. During his earlier years, the apostle’s positive attitude came from trusting in his credentials, namely, his background, education, and position. However, his encounter with the… Continue

New Year Priorities

Matthew 6:33-6:33

INTRO.- ILL.- A reporter covering a coal-mine disaster wrote a story that began: “God looked at the grief today in this little West Virginia mining town, and He wept.” The city editor emailed back: “Forget the mine cave-in. Interview God.”

Obviously, getting to know God in a personal way should be our greatest priority in life. If we plan on spending eternity with Him then it seems like a good idea to get acquainted with Him… Continue

“The Party Is Over”!

Christmas has come gone again, and the New Year is here. I trust everyone had an awesome Holiday Season. But now it is time to get back to work and to put our celebrations behind us for a while.

I have never had the opportunity to attend a Bible College, University, or Seminary, so this is not prepared to level in which someone who has had the opportunity to attend one. Maybe someday I may get the opportunity to attend one.

God has put a message on my heart to share with… Continue
