My story with God
God has been a constant love in my life from a very young age. I can not explain the magnatude of my feelings every day when I talk with my savior. Sundays are extra special when the feeling of community and love for Jesus is shared all around me at church.

Friday night at 5:00 my friend Robin and I were in a terrible car accident. We were just on our way home from dinner and sitting at a red light. She had just put her seat belt on and I was reaching for mine. The light turned green and she even hesitated before pulling out into the intersection. I looked to my right and all I was able to do was scream out Robin’s name when we got hit right in my passenger side door at 50…

Hi Carla, if there is one thing that I have learnt in this past 16 months is that everything in life is for a reason. Nothing is conicidence. If God knows our every thought before we ever think it then how could anything be left to chance. One thing that has gotten me through all of this is that God knew what was going to happen in my life before I was even born. He knew who I would meet, who I would marry and he knew the trials that we would face, and he knew that if I turned my life to him that I would come through it all better. Everything in life is for a reason. It is because of my husbands affair that I turned to God and now know what it is like to be truly loved and how to love others in that way. I loved my husband beofre, but not like I do now. My husband having an affair saved our marriage. How weird does that sound! It goes with the saying that you have to hit rock bottom before you can climb your way up and we definately hit the bottom. We have both learnt a lot from every thing in this past year and we know now what it takes to make a successful marriage. Its what we do with the chances that we are given to make this life better and to not walk away and take the easy road. I never thought that I would ever be strong enough to go through what I have been through but I know now that with God's help, I can make it. Since last year, Cory and I have found that God keeps placing people in our lives that are going through very similar stories. Dealing with affairs. I had hoped that I would never have to sit with someone going through the same horrible pain that I experienced but week after week I am hearing stories of marriages gone bad and I am there to offer hope and encouragment and let these people know that through our Lord, everything and anything is possible. Sorry for rambling on .
Thank you again for asking me to become your friend on here.

Hi Carla, Thank you for asking me to be your friend. That was quite the accident that you were in and I truly believe that we are protected by angels. My husband was in a horrific car accident a little over a year ago. He hit a train. Most people dont survive the initial impact but somehow, through God's grace, my husband did. He managed to climb out of the vehicle, against all of his firefighter training, and stumbled around in the snow for about 100 feet. He then fell into the train and was hit by it a second time. He again was pulled back by angels and although he lost his left leg in the accident we know just how fortunate we are that he is still here. We know that God has a plan for him and that he was not suppose to leave us that night. I am a strong believer that there are no accidents in life, that everything happens for a reason its just figuring out what that reason is. We know for us that Cory needed to be woken up that day as to the life he was leading and he had to be made aware of what was truly important in life and what he needed to let go of. As for you, there was a reason for your accident that night, you are still here for a reason, thank you for sharing your story with us.
Out of interest, which post by me were you commenting on?
God Bless,
Rachell
