Walking in the Spirit - The Deeper Spirit Filled Life

A group concerned with ...

... seeking to understand what it means to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

... sharing our experiences of being filled.

... understanding operating in the Holy Spirit and spiritual Gifts.

... giving opportunity for individuals to ask about this important topic of walking in the Spirit.

Our goal is to edify and build up the body of Christ. We will not be discussing the "Evidence Doctrine." A dissucion on this doctrine tends to divide rather than build up.

Surf,

I am sure that you are going to get many comments from your post. I would caution you not to leave your church in haste. Is your church a Bible-believing church? If so, it may be that they are concerned about much of the questionable doctrine that can come out of a church controlled by words of prophecy rather than the Word of God. If you are not attending a Bible-honoring church, I would advise you to leave. However, there are different opinions of what is Spirit-filled and what isn't. I believe you will find some excellent advice on this site.

Blessings and congratulations on your experience.

I was baptised in the holy spirit a few weeks ago I was wary of it because my church says that stuff is wrong. But i went anyway with other Christian friends and i did feel stuff that felt supernatural like healing and being spirit filled. I am thinking of leaving my church because it seems to heirichial  (wrong spelling but you get what i mean) and people seem  to sarcastic and controlling even manipulative. I was away for a weekend with them and got to see what some of them are really like. That being said some of them are very nice also its just the few i dont like the feeling i get from them. That is exactly what i am looking to get away from.

Welcome to All.  We are here to learn, share, and edify one another.  No matter how long or even if you are Spirit Filled.  I Believe those who are lead will join.  The number one reason is kick open some door and windows, and do our best to shed the Light on this subject.  We  see true Power in Acts 2 and beyond.  And, I believe that Power is still in effect.  We want to focus on things people do, we will Not focus on things people do not do.  The Spirit is reveled in so many ways.  Unity is very important.  On a subject that can divide so many.  I Believe there is more Power in Unity. Lord Bless you All

Actually, I did respond to your invitation. So, yes, you are correct. I am just remembering that discussion about doctrine. I have a feeling this group might just generate some of those kind of discussions. That one, however, was excellent. It was one of the best in a while. I have to watch myself. I get a little free sometimes. haha

Hey Chris,

Great job - I hesitated to join for two reasons: all the e-mails and I'm not sure if I qualify as living a deeper Spirit-filled life. If aspiring to a deeper Spirit-filled life qualifies, then I'm in.

Welcome Winter.  Please feel free to share, without the pressure to do so.

As we yield our will to His leading, we discover the things our spirit truly desire.  Many times we think we know what we need.  Sometimes we do however, the Spirit knows what we really need.  And, knows what we need so we can put those things to their best use.  To be humble and yielded, allows us to receive things so we are able to flow in the Spirit.  And, that the Spirit has Freedom in our lives.
