Please Pray for my great gson,Maddox/Hattie Anne
Hello..I know I'm new here but I feel the need to get the news out about our great grandson,Maddox because he needs all the prayers he can get.He was born Thanksgiving Day 2012 and he stopped breathing within a few minutes of birth.He was quickly flown to Arkansas Children's Hospital.He was diagnosed with CHD/HLHS-He was born with half a heart.He had 2 open heart surgeries,a surgery for a gt button for feeding into his tummy,had 2 blood transfusions and today,he had his 3rd. open heart surgery-the Glen Procedure. There are soo many children these days that are born with this birth defect.There was a law passed just this year for a pulse ox to be used on babies to help detect this defect-thank goodness.He is 10 months old now and wears a newborn shoe and a size 0-3months clothes-soo tiny.He still doesn't nurse the bottle yet but does eat baby food-strained well.As you can tell,he loves hats-lol.Maddox is doing well.Below is what his mommy wrote on his page called Miracles For Maddox in Facebook..

Praying. But I wanted to point out that my friend Kari has 6 kids, 4 she adopted. Most of them are special needs, including adopted Christopher who was born with half a heart. It was touch and go at first with him too, and he has many complications from it until he grows enough that they can do a transplant or something. But a friend of hers had the same and was able to get the transplant. She's healthy and doing fine. It is a serious matter, but modern medicine has really come a long way and they have a much greater chance of coming through this good. Thank God for giving us the intellect to do such things as this.
I almost cried seeing that picture of him all hooked up. He looks so pitiful. But then I think that all this now is so he can be healthier later.

Thank you all so much for your love,concern and prayers.Prayers are indeed the most powerful thing we can do for him when we pray with sincereness and goodness and with the love of God in our hearts.I know that God is right there with him holding him in his arms and and soothing him with his gentle touch.The family has been through soo much and now his mommy is expecting a second child and it has to be rough on her.She struggles with diabetes and wears an insulin pump so she needs prayers for strength and endance to cope with all the things that are going on.I will do whatever I can to help her with whatever she needs in the days ahead.I checked on Maddox this morning and he's still asleep.They may take the line out of his lil neck sometime today.We pray this new baby is healthy and strong and thrives.The Lord must have special plans for our little Maddox.♥

Welcome to you and yours.
When Jesus walked the face of this earth, He had an obvious deep affection for children. He said that the Kingdom of God was made up of a love such as children have and show. And you know what, Hattie Anne?
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever". (Hebrews 13:8) . He still feels the same about little ones.
Father God, we lift up little Maddox to you at this time, that you will personally touch him with Your healing power, and
monitor his progress as he grows stronger and more healthy each day. We ask a blessing on this family as they meet and overcome each daily challenge in their lives. This is our prayer in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Maddox had a good day today.They took the chest tubes out today around1pm.He's still hanging on to that paci.Hi ox puls is running in the mid 90's so he's doing soo good.Thank you everyone for your prayers.God bless you and yours.Hattie Anne

He played with his toys some-a very good sign he is doing better.Lord,we thank you for your many blessings and for being with our lil man and bringing him throu so much.We are so very gtateful to You Lord and to those whom have prayed for Maddox and his family..In the name if Jesus-this I pray..Amen
