Hi folks:

HealingPRAYERs is intended for a group of commited souls to jointly pray for a fixed number of individuals that need our prayers for healing. A new list will develop each week, beginning on Mondays. Your own names can be added to as many weekly lists as you like, on the condition that the prayer-request lists do not exceed 10 people. The only reason I decided to limit the list is to make it easier for the folks praying to remember the names and the needs of each individual during their prayer sessions. This way, our prayers will be more personal and meaningful. Please also limit the requests for prayer to people needing healing; after all, that is the purpose of this very special group. Thank you for your cooperation. Oh, and there will be chances to join in some fasts for healing, too. I will post in advance when the fasts will take place.

There will be a thread in the discussion forum labeled "prayer requests." Please list one person, someone you know or yourself, who needs healing. Let others also post a request, up to and not exceeding ten requests with a short description of the health need. Finally, I eagerly ask that each group member participate in praying throughout the week for the health needs of those presented on the list. This won't work out if we all want prayer but none are willing to pray for the needs of others. Try to think of this as a service challenge...how service-driven are we in our walk with Jesus? Ok, let's get started! and Welcome! :-)

Dear Dawn and Nancy...I copied and pasted your prayer requests in a thread above, where it indicates the prayer list for first week of March. Not that it isn't fine right here, but for organizational purposes, I like to also have a list dedicated to this specific purpose. Therefore, I'd like to encourage others to add their requests to that weekly list as well.

BTW...I may often fail to post weekly lists in the upper forum at the start of each new week; however, if you have a healing prayer request, I ask that you will enter it in such a list. If no list is yet posted, please, by all means, I ask that you will start the new weekly list in the discussion forum. Please don't wait for me to post it. The healing-prayers group belongs to all of you who participate. It's not just mine simply because I founded it. Thanks so much to all of you! God bless you! and may the Lord keep you well :)

Love
Glenda

"So my prayer is that he will allow God to show him how to love geniunely and to trust his wife. ANd that I will have the strength to be there for him. I don't know how much more I can take."

Rodney what you have said in the end there summarizes so well the remedy in that situation which confronts you and your brother. God has made himself available to us not just for us to know He exists and praise Him for that. But God wants to minister to us, to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. It is our reluctance to cast our cares upon Him, to commit our concerns in His hand, that keeps us trying and trying, doing and doing, and yet remaining so frustrated and weary. I can sense as you said you have come to the end of what you can do, and your brother and his wife, whether they realize it nor not are at the end of what they can do.

My prayer is that your genuine commitment of that problem to God and your earnest prayer that He takes over will manifest in you a peace and faith which will inspire your brother. And somehow your brother would let go of his self and pride and fall before God's throne of grace with a sincere and humble realization that He needs the help of God and others. And through it all God will find room to resolve the conflict in your brother's marriage and even use you to help them.

In other words, I am agreeing in prayer that God will be allowed into that situation. Amen.

I need your prayers.
Where to even start. :) I guess I should say that I need prayer for both my brother and I. My bother spent most of his life walking down the wrong path, drugs etc. And we didn't get along at all growing up. But he has been a Christian for a little over a year now, which is great. The timing of his return to the church is the same time that he re-married.
Here is the problem. He is the type that is never, ever wrong. Now you might think that I am exaggerating. But I promise that I am not in the least bit. Right now, he and his wife are struggling. I think that it is because of the choices made earlier in both their lives. And I think that they are both terrified of getting hurt. So neither one budges. THis makes it even worse when my brother is controlling and is never wrong.
I have tried to talk to him about it and he says that he understands what I am saying, but he will argue, using the word "but"
Now he has been very good to me and has let me work with him some to make ends meet. But here lately, the entire time that I am working with him, every minute of the day, he complains about his wife and step kids. About how right he is and how wrong they are.
When I look at him, I see a little boy that is terrified. But he comes across so big and bad. And this puts a real drain on me emotionally. After a few hours, I am all ready struggling. But it doesn't stop.
So my prayer is that he will allow God to show him how to love geniunely and to trust his wife. ANd that I will have the strength to be there for him. I don't know how much more I can take.

Hi William,
The best way to deal with unwanted thoughts is to fill your mind with the word of God. We can not think about 2 things at once. God's word is spirit and life and it can transform our thinking. Years ago i memorized a large number of scriptures and it has helped me over the years to cast down those imaginations that try to exalt themselves above the knowledge of God. We have a enemy and we need to follow Jesus example when He was in the desert being tempted by the devil and know and use the word which is the sword of the Spirit.

Dear Dave,
You and your pops will be with me in thought and in prayer. As you are well aware, God has a purpose for each and all His children, and now in knowing your pops is one of those children, you can rest assure that God has sole custody of this situation. Remember, as members of the Christian family, both of you are much loved, not just by God alone, but also by your brothers and sisters. You will never have to go through anything alone...hallelujah!?

Ecc 3:1 ¶ To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Remain blessed, brother...I'm praying for you both and that to God be the Glory!

Christ's love,

Glenda

My father is 79 years old and He has been falling lately because his knees are failing him now. Today I took him to the doctor because after his latest fall, he changed drastically, he was not able to recognize me. He was not able to talk and gave me a blank stare for the most. I have been at the hospital all day today and have to go back tomorrow since he is having surgery tomorrow. One of his falls caused internal bleeding in his head and the blood is clout gating and causing pressure on his brain, which is causing all the other problems. He will be in surgery for 3 hours.

Pops came to the knowledge of the Lord just 3 months ago, so if My Lord decides to take Him I am blessed to know He will be with my God, but I do pray for God's will to be done in this situation and for the strength to Shine for my God through it all.

So please pray that God be glorify through this ordeal.

Thank you family and blessings.
