Good Monday morning everyone. We serve a kind King. His mercies are new every morning and we are restored each day. I have been overwhelmed by my life's demands and have no been able to get to this group like I want to. I welcome Eric - congratulations on a decision to follow God and for the encouragement that comes through each of you. I will be posting a blog entry that talks about the gift of 12 Step fellowship. We do not have to feel alone. We can draw strength from the victory that many find one day at a time. With the love of the Lord I reach toward you. Blessings. H.

Addiction is always out there we must see around it & push on past it ...alcohol especially is tough being everywhere tv ads, bill boards, in stores.....I was hooked on speed,ice...I was able to quit that & stay off ...keeping away from others that don't want to quit yet & not get entangled when helping others quit also.

Sometimes I feel so alone;but then I see my Bible & know there is always one with me.When I was consumed with my addiction I lost sight of my Bible & God....now I wonder how many other people have gone through something similar to my problem .....it (addiction) tries to rear its ugly head but I fight it away with the help of God & so far I'm staying ahead of the game.I thank God for this forum....to be able to discuss God...Amen

Nate - I loved your post re righteousness. I love the depth with which God is ministering to you. We are NOT saved by our good works - they are only filthy rags! I would much rather wear Jesus robe of righteousness. Hallelujah!

Hi beautiful Myrna... I will be posting my ideas from my 20 year journey through recovery. There is so much support for those of us rising up to meet the standard of holiness the Lord sets before us. He offers us everything we need to feel secure, to be of service, to forgive and let go of transgressions. We don't need to hang on by the skin of our teeth! By the Holy Spirit's might, we can follow His directions, relax, rest in Him and feel His joy, His peace and His comfort.. I'll be praying for you. Much love, H.

Thank you all for your heartfelt encouragement. It means so very much to me.

First off, I just want to praise God for His infinitely, unconditional love. No matter how hard I fall, Jesus is always there to pick me back up.

I started writing this comment until I realized that I would probably take up half the page with everything I wanted to say. Therefore, I copy and pasted it into a discussion forum above called "Losing the Battle for Righteousness".

Nate - what a powerful testimony. I celebrate your courage and honesty. This is a new day and you are on your way to the life God intended for you. May I encourage you to avail yourself of the resources and support you can find within the Kingdom - Steve Arburburn, for example, in his book, Everyman's Battle will provide you with skills to keep your head and heart pure...I will be praying for you. H.
