All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Not in a religious sence, just as a relationship. What's your relationship with Jesus like?

I've had a very dry relationship with Him for awhile. It should be refreshing to hear how your relationships with Christ are going.

I would need to know what you mean "in a religious sense". I think a spiritual sense is the only
way one can have a relationship with Christ since He is a spirit, not flesh and blood. We can't
sit down across the table with Him and have a discussion with him about the weather what we did,
or are going to do this weekend.

My relationship with him is one of love and trust, almost much like a brother. I consider Him to be my
elder brother since we are both Sons of God. It would be great if we could have a relationship with Him
like we can with an older brother. If you would care to elaborate a little more on your question maybe
we can get you a better answer.

I actually disagree about talking to God about how your upcoming weekend or even the weather. I've prayed about the weather many many many times as well as seeking His will about the upcoming weekend. I think you're selling Him short. He wants to know about your day. We are to thank Him for our daily bread. That's seems like a small thing to talk to the Almighty about but He wants us to converse & share things with Him because He cares about us. Pray without ceasing.

By "in a religious sence" I mean this. People get religion and spirituality mixed up. Some people may think they're connected to Jesus by how many times they tithe, how many times they go to church, stuff like that. They get caught up in religious rituals. Some may think "I'm connected to Jesus because I'm a baptist" or "I'm connected to Jesus because I was baptized at church". That is in a "religious sence". Not nesasarily depending on baptism or good works for salvation. Just looking at all the "religiousness" in a persons' life may make him/her think that's how he/she has connected to Jesus. Not connected like a way of works salvation. The person still (hopefully) trusts in Christ alone. He just may seem like just another part of religiousness in that individual's life. I'm not good at explaining. I hope that was good enough.

Just explain your relationship with Him. And, what He's doing in your life. Stuff like that.

My relationship with him as been dry as well but I still know the Living Water is sitting there waiting to refresh me. I know He just has a new thing to show me so I'm waiting & expecting Him to show me soon. He's preparing me for a new thing. I can't wait to see what it is.
