Each of the poses in Yoga have religious and spiritual significance.  Again, unfortunately, even though many acclaim that its just a pose and we have god in our heart lol , hmmmm  its like saying I wont obey Gods commandment but I love God , ....... And as a personal note yoga is not an exercise its a way to attain eight stages into Hinduism .

I place this in the category of 1 Corinthians 10: 23 “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive. 24 No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.

25 Eat anything sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience, 26 for, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.”[f]

27 If an unbeliever invites you to a meal and you want to go, eat whatever is put before you without raising questions of conscience. 28 But if someone says to you, “This has been offered in sacrifice,” then do not eat it, both for the sake of the one who told you and for the sake of conscience. 29 I am referring to the other person’s conscience, not yours. For why is my freedom being judged by another’s conscience? 30 If I take part in the meal with thankfulness, why am I denounced because of something I thank God for?

31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

If my doing yoga would cause you to stumble, I wouldn't do it in front of you nor invite you to participate in it.  But my conscience on it is clear of guilt because the poses mean nothing more to me than a stretching exercise.  And the meat sacrificed to idols means nothing more to me than a good hearty meal.  Especially if you put on a little A1 sauce and a loaded baked potato on the side.  ;-)

With the A1 or baked potato?  ;-)

Tammy, if you are referring to Ro.14:14, It does sound a little silly, doesn’t it?  But only to the carnal mind.

1Cor.2:14, for the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, for they are spiritually discerned.

Which is a sight better than what she usually calls me JB!

Seek, You know u wrong

If loving you is wrong, I don't wanna be right.  Hahahahaha!

So then, are we to learn all the poses used in Yoga, and then make sure we don’t find ourselves in that position or poses in our everyday life or our time of exercising and work outs? I couldn’t give a rip what they think or what they call Yoga to them means, I’ll stretch my body and mind as far as I can and still say, Thank God He has given me the strength to do so. I will not allow the Hindo’s  LOL, steal from me what God has given to me. All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient, all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any!!! 1Cor.6:12,

And where does it say that God commands us not to do Yoga, Exercises, In all your ways, acknowledge Him. Pr.3:6,

Rom.14:14, I know and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself, but to him that esteems anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean, but if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died. Let not then your good be evil spoken of: for the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. For he that in these things serve Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence. It is good neither to eat flesh, not to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak. Hast thou faith? Have it to thy self before God, for happy is the man condemeneth not himself in that thing which he allows. And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

The Health Benefits of Yoga

Yoga has been practiced for more than 5,000 years, and currently, close to 11 million Americans are enjoying its health benefits. Yoga can hardly be called a trend.

Most Westernized yoga classes focus on learning physical poses, which are called asanas. They also usually include some form of breathing technique and possibly a meditation technique as well. Some yoga classes are designed purely for relaxation. But there are styles of yoga that teach you how to move your body in new ways. Choosing one of these styles offers the greatest health benefits by enabling you to develop your flexibility, strength, and balance. Even though for most healthy people yoga is a safe non-aerobic form of exercise, it is not without its risks. According to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the yoga injuries most commonly treated in emergency rooms involve overstretching and strain from repetition to the neck, Shoulders, spine, legs, and knees.
