witnessing to muslims
I have a dear muslim friend, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of books to give them? I thought maybe "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel would be a good book? Also, does anyone have suggestions in general on explaining the gospel to a muslim? Thank you!

Hello! I would say first that the Bible is the best book to start with. In particular the Gospel of John is where one would go to learn about the person of Jesus and the fact that he is the Son of God. Lee Strobel's book is a wonderful book as well.
How would you share the Gospel with anyone? Not just Muslims but any person seeking to understand Christianity. We ourselves must be prepared to share our own knowledge with others. So if we feel we are not very strong in this we must search and learn all about God.

There is some merit in understanding what others believe, but at the same time when we talk about witnessing we are not talking about winning a debate. When we witness to others we are to attest to what Jesus has done for us and express the gospel found in the Word of God. We do not need to find other methods, but simply trust in the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. We have to trust in Romans 1:26. I would attempt to get them into the New Testament in a reader friendly version.
I will add that if you were talking to someone who had never heard of God then I would start with creation and the existence of God before intorducing them to the Son.

Maybe this will help you. It's not a book but this guy has helped me with the JWs (he also does Muslims and Mormons). Wilbur Lingle. I don't know if I'm allowed to link his site or not but you should find it if you put his name in a search engine. He's also talked to me in email about the JW (which has really helped). Since, he does witnessing for Muslims as well I figured it could help.
