All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

        Hello;

My name is Lynn Shupe(a male); I am a (former) Missionary Evangelist

who was active on the field. From 1990-- to-- 2001, when my wife died.

Before that; I had been trained by 6-8 Pastors in and around my home,

where I was taught  " D-e-e-e-e-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-!!!"  wisdom of the bible.

So, I know the bible better than some Ministers who have / are  in active Ministry

for 20 years. I am not an expert (but I am thru/by God), I know much more than

         some ministers will ever know.

I have tried to "SHARE", all that God has taught me.(notice I said "GOD" taught me).

So, what is hard for me to understand; is; with all the wisdom God has taught me,

????    Why, is it so difficult for me to get through to this (22nd century)

         generation ?????

Each time I try to teach what I have learned (by GOD!); I receive a terrible

         amount of "FLACK"--(Opposition!!!).

This (above), tells me that the "END-OF-TIME"   is right at our doorsteps, and

people "REFUSE", to accept the truth of it.

This is why I  "SAT-DOWN", on God and my Ministry; people refuse to hear

         what God has taught me.

So, whats my solution  ?????  Keep resigned  ????   Stay inactive  ????

I just ( now), look for opportunities and grasp them if they come./

But think about what I've told you, you might receive the (real), revelation

of the World's current place (spiritually).  I leave that to you.

         Thanks for listening.

Hi Lynn,

I agree it is getting harder to share the "Good News".

I pray each morning that I will recognize and respond to those God puts in my path that need to hear the Word. I'm not one to go door to door or stand on the street corner. I will however greet people with open arms and by the time we go our own ways they know my belief and love of Jesus. I don't bring the gospel on unless the Spirit is telling me to. I do however give them nuggets like, "Have a blessed day", "It's a nice day, God is so awesome", and so on. At times I run across folks who seem to be looking for more and I will give them more.

I take each person individually and share that which I feel the Spirit is calling me to share. Coming on too strong to someone if they are not ready will turn them away from seeking the truth.

I guess I look at it this way, plant the seed and let the spirit do the rest.

Case in point. Mt wife and I run a Christian Outreach Center. At the end of the night we do a quick devotional and prayer. Most of the kids do not go to church and do not know the Lord. We simply try to be salt and light to them. We plant that seed. Many times kids will begin to ask questions, then we feed them more milk. Many have taken Bibles home and started reading the Word. We didn't make them listen or take a Bible. We just planted the seed.

Don't loose hart, you never know what will happen after you shared the love.

Hope this helped.

Blessings

Gary

God's wisdom is the same now as it was when he first spoke to Adam. Perfect, pure and righteous. His story has remained the same no matter what has happened in the world. We are as stubborn and evil as Cain was with Abel. The message of the Gospel has not changed a single bit.

Your answer is to not give up. EVER. He stands with you and walks with you no matter what you encounter. Bev is right about the seeds being planted and watered. We may not always see how God is working in the lives of those we come into contact with but, God does. God calls us to be faithful and steady in our journey. We are not alone. We can only do it with his strength and guidance. When you "SAT DOWN" you sat down on the Holy Spirit. Get up! Get up and keep moving because yes it will be hard. Just as it was hard for Moses and for all of the disciples.

Your light has not gone out. It is only burning a little lower than usual. Get up and give it some oxygen! So it can burn brightly!

God bless you Lynn!

There is a strong spirit of slumber. It's like a wall or scales over their eyes. Someone will probably jump all over this post. Please don't. I'm just discussing it with Lynn. Nobody has to believe in spirits if they don't want to. Also I believe there is a strong python spirit. There are spirits that leave by a lot of fasting and prayers. Could I suggest finding solid prayer warriors to help.

Love,

Mary

So, whats my solution ????? Keep resigned ???? Stay inactive ????

I'm sorry for your loss brother

Hi Lynn, I was at work and my ride arrived.

When you witness, try to keep it in small groups. See if you can figure out the person's heart-felt need. Some heart-felt needs are more obvious than others. Try to resist sharing everything. We are fishers of men. We don't dump the bucket of bait in the water and hope the fish will come. Having the wisdom that you have, you may have to use a little at a time. What is the proper bait, the heart-felt need?  I mean bait in a positive way, not some trickery kind of thing. You could use a startling statement. That would be something like...Come follow me and I will make you fishers of men. It's unusual. We can learn from the Master. Or consider the woman at the well. Jesus told her she had had many husbands. She said He told her everything she ever did. The purpose of a startling statement is to get their attention. Evaluate where the person's at. If they are brand new, give them formula. If you give meat to a baby, he/she will choke on it. Formula might be something like preaching Jesus, God's love and prayer. Or if you try to give a baby a bottle of milk, but it's too fast, the baby will spit it back out at you or may choke on it too. Sometimes a little  contact each day and prayer can do so much good. Try to resist overloading the new person. A couple thoughtful Bible verses with a short explanation can help a lot. If you want to talk about the Bible verses that are meat, get on the AAG website. It won't take very long for you to find someone to share with.

2 Peter 1:5-11

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.  For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins. Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Love,

Mary
