All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

We know from scripture that there is a time coming when the Anti Christ is going to have complete control over the world, and no one will be able to buy or sell without having the mark of beast on either their right hand or forehead. I personally do not know if we Christians will be rapture before, halfway through, or at the end of the great tribulation. I feel that since these views are all interpretations of scripture. We should keep our eyes and ears open, so that we don't get taken in.

I really wish that Richard Stallman would come to believe in Christ, however I feel that his warnings in this video is something we all need to think about. Please watch this entire interview before you comment.

Great video. I agree, I hope the gospel is presented to him and that his heart is changed towards God.

Thanks for sharing. I had not given the topic much taught. I have always felt very weary of social media as FB. A corporation that big does not do what they do without getting something out of it. In this case, our live patterns.

What is 'free software' We should have control when we buy something.  ..malicious software

Freedom from someone else 'making you do 'this or 'that'.

We do have to be aware..  But this guy sounds like a conspiracy theorist.

We know Who is on the Throne.

I too hope that the gospel is presented to him.  For a guy who refers to 'freedom' and the importance of it, he sure seems to be living fearfully.  God is in Control.

I was wondering; why should we be afraid or concerned about what they are doing: in collecting information from our use of the internet, or these blogs, whether Christian or secular? If I thought they were, the more I would broadcast my beliefs about my redemption, and the goodness of God; quoting scriptures etc. knowing the Holy Spirit will use it to convict them of their sin and turn their hearts toward Him. We always seem to try to do the work of the Holy Spirit, when all we have to do is put our trust in God and let Him be God. Amen? So let them listen, watch and copy, the Word has a way of doing what it does best, it will not return unto Him void, but will accomplish that which He pleases, and prosper in the thing whereunto He has sent it. So we are presenting the gospel, if we believe they are listening to us talk about the Word of God.

Amen!!!

Thank you Amanda, you just made my day!!!

JB,  Indeed..  we put our trust in God and let Him be God.  AMEN!

Luke 21:25-28  And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;  men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.  And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

I love the song, “what a Day that will be when my Jesus I shall see; when I look upon His face the one who saved me by His grace.”

We are not door-matts for anyone, yet we don’t walk in fear of what man can do to us.

I like what I saw in a movie, “too long ago to remember the name” but when they were about to behead John, he looked up and said “you’ll just release me” That is peace in the time of adversity.

I like Isa.54:17.

Gregory,

Keeping 'This calls for wisdom' in mind, how do you believe we should respond?

Gregory,

I don't believe anyone's saying we shouldn't be good stewards.  The last days began at the resurrection of Christ.

Gregory,

You said:

" I'm merely trying to understand God's word, so that I can try and live for Him.  I hope my heart is still right with Him.  I hope my faith will remain strong enough in the coming days and coming years.  If someone reading this wants to let down your guard on the notion that "God will just take care of me, hands off"  then you have the right do so.  But I'm not going to just sit and do nothing about protecting things"

It's good to understand God's word so that we can live for Him..I believe that's what all of us are doing.  Just because someone lives a life believing God, doesn't mean they stop taking precautions to protect themselves.  We're not careless or unreasonable.   It also doesn't mean they stop reading God's Word.  Our food is the Word of God.

There is an element of 'trust' and 'rest' that I believe you might be missing.  But these things are not separate from being prepared so that we can stand firm.  Matthew 10:16 comes to mind.

How many times in the scripture does Jesus say 'Do not Fear'?

You also said "On one hand, you do what needs to be done, and on the other hand you trust God to do what needs to be done."

I agree with this.  I'll just add this...And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

Be careful to not trust in yourself too much for what needs to be done.  We desire to be obedient to Him and what He has revealed to us in His Word.

I believe that evangelism serves a double purpose.. first of all we're told to share the gospel, sharing God's word brings people to Him... secondly it strengthens us as we learn to answer the difficult questions which always come.  God has designed things in such  a way, that if we live in obedience we will not fall away.
