I know this is wrong but I'm playing lazy tonight. I actually googled it. Here are some things I pasted from Charles Stanley's site:
1. Our reconciliation to God through the death of Christ
“While we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” —Romans 5:6-10
2. The daily forgiveness of our sins
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” —1 John 1:9
3. The Father’s continued presence wherever we go
“The Lord is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” —Deuteronomy 31:8
4. A constant Helper through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit

5. The Lord’s strength in whatever difficulty we face

6. God’s provision for our daily needs
“Do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? 7. An answer to our prayers

15. Fruitfulness as we grow older

16. The desires of our hearts

17. Help in times of trouble

18. Guidance along the pathway of life

19. Healing for our diseases and wounds

20. The absolute guarantee of God’s love
“I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” —Romans 8:38-39
21. Eternal security
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” —John 10:27-30
22. Heaven as our eternal home
“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.” —John 14:1-3

Romans 8:38-39; I've always wondered about this verse that people put out there....the preceding verses were talking about persecution. Do you think that these verses have something to do with that?
These are wonderful promises of God. Are they for all people? And if they are only for believers....what about all those if verses?
And Tammy, you know I love you....don't be lazy no more :):):)

Romans 8

I don't know...........
For a "lazy person" to write one of the longest posts of her entire career ....... just think if Tammy wasn't feeling lazy, it would probably be like - John 21:25, " And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen. (N.K.J.V.).
An important warning I think is found in I John 5:21, " Little children, keep yourselves from idols." (N.K.J.V.).
This is a warning to Christians that was/is relevant then and now.
My definition of an idol = An object demanding passionate devotion which elicits worshipping the object. The object can be a person, place, pastime, or thing ( maybe like an electronic device).
Idol worship involves giving much time, resources, attention and love involving this captivity.
Idolatry is choosing something else to worship......other than God.......and the person might not realize it.

It's helped me to realize that most of what I'd felt condemnation over isn't in the list of what God commands. It's in the lies told of I'm no good that left me feeling I could never measure up. The 10 Commandments are great. They're not things I want to engage in but they don't include the stuff I felt guilty over.

Are there conditional promises & unconditional promises? I think so....for instance, we all know that the promise of Christ Jesus' return is unconditional, but then there are promises made, like in John 15 that are conditional:
1I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and everybranch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4Abide in me, and I in you. Greater Love has No One than This

The Hatred of the World
