All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I've done a lot of things that I shouldn't have in my life and im only 19. But yesterday, while drunk, I robbed someones money and ipod out of their truck. I knew the instant I was doing it that it wasn't right. I have no idea who's things I stole, and I felt so bad after that I just gave it to my friend who was with me to try to get it off my mind. When I sobered up I didnt know what to do, and thinking about it, I will never find the guy that I stole from. I want to ask God to forgive me but that wont make things right with the guy that I stole from will it? So how can I be forgiven and actually not feel so bad about this if that guy needed that money really bad and I just took it?

All I do for fun is get drunk. I still think about God and I have started to believe that God wants me to be happy, so he must be ok with the way I live. I do illegal things like there is no law, yet I feel like I am in a relationship with God because I try to never do anything that will affect or hurt anyone else but myself.

Then I will stop sometimes and think to myself, wow, Im not a good person at all, what have I done? and I want to be forgiven.. but I have ask so many times and I know that I will keep partying whenever I can, and now i dont know what to do. I like having fun and for me that means I should be drunk or on a drug, its also the only way that I will have any confidence to talk to people. Also I honestly feel like if i dont drink alcohol anymore, I wont have any friends as all my friends drink and party on a regular basis, and I had no friends for most of my life so thats not an option.

Jesus will forgive you, no matter what you've done. He died for your sins, my sins-everyone's sins! He forgave Saul (later became Paul) for murdering early Christians. He forgave a woman in the bible who was about to be stoned to death (she comitted adultery). He's forgiven me and I've done really bad things myself (I was felt hate towards dad(not anymore of course), my old dog and didn't like bible stuff),I threw rocks at the neighbor's property (I hated her) I think I stole a toy when I was probably like 3 or 4. I hockered in someone's hair, read her love notes when I was little and put her back pack in dog poop. I tried a little spell to get back the old voice actors for Pokemon. I judged and condemed other Christians (thinking I was one of the few going to heaven). I thought I would go to heaven by my own works but now I realize it's by God's grace, through Christ alone. I was one of the most self rightous proud people you'd ever meet. I thought I was so much better than those other girls at school. You could say He's humbled me since than. On a side note, a hymn that helped lead me to Christ, "Only Trust Him."

You want to be forgiven? That's great! Jesus will forgive you. Ask Him. He died for your sins and was buried but there's great news! He rose three days later like He said He would

John 2:19-22

19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?

21 But he spake of the temple of his body.

22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

He will forgive you

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Jonathan,

You know exactly what you need to do.  I will Pray that you are obedient.

Lord Bless

Jonathan

Repentance means change.  From the things you have shared, you are not prepared to do that.  I am not judging you, I have been there done that.  Yet, for you to even post these things shows that a part of you wants to be free of these things.  These items can be turned into any number of places, yet the fear of being caught I feel is present here.  Better to lose and eye than your whole body be lost    Matt 5:30  And if your hand—even your stronger hand—causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.  The point is Jesus died for your sins.  Little Brother what you do with all that others have shared with you is up to you.  Know this you will stand one day before the Lord.  Do you really want to have to explain all this to the One who was nailed to a Cross for you?  All your other behavior is it really worth it all.  None of us know  when our time has come.  I am not into fear tactics, yet to be clear we all will have to give an account.  Trust me on this, none of what you share can be compared to a life spent living for Jesus, or one for yourself.  I myself have wasted much time, time I can never give back to Him.  As I said to begin with, you know what to do, Holy Spirit has already told you before you shared this.  I am still Praying that you are obedient.  Lord Bless little Brother

Jonathan, we have a very merciful God. He will forgive you but you need to get some help. You have developed some distorted views of God. Do you have access to a church or a pastor? You are still young enough to get into a good youth group of young adult group. Don't throw away your life just to have some friends that really don't care for you at all or they would encourage you to stop drinking. You need to get away and find someone to help you in your life. I pray that you will find the help you need. In Jesus name.

Hi Jonathon,

Right now it seems as though all your friends love you but later you will see that they want someone else in the same sinking ship that they are in. You will eventually lose more than you care too, but that is what needs to happen for you to realize you are headed nowhere. When you've lost everything you hold dear to you, you will see what a dead end trip you are on.

I know you don't understand that you are an alcoholic but you are, at a very young age too. If you want to have friends, go to an AA meeting. You meet lots of folks that at one time, thought they had all the answers. Now they know that they don't. When you hear them say all the things they have lost, you might realize you are on the same road that they are on...or you might have to experience what they have already experienced....loss of everything that they care about.

Hi, Jonathon...my name's Rita and I am an alcoholic..... or was until I received a miracle from God and He healed me instantaneously from that which plagues many.

Excellent advice! I pray that Jonathan receives it and acts upon it.

Jonathan,

I can tell you that these friends are not true friends. When you get down to your last beer & 1/2 of a blunt, they'll be out the door. I want to ditto Chris' comments about people that you don't even know are praying for you this very moment. Our hearts are crying out to the Lord on your behalf. I would about bet that they would not shed a tear for you.

Another thing is you asked does God want you to be happy? That is not His priority. When you are born again, the joy of the Lord fulfills that area that you now seek to make you happy. Also, the Lord never goes against His own Word. Why would he tell you that getting drunk was a sin but we'll give Jonathan a break since he's happy? Are you happy when you're not drinking?

Obviously, your conscience is still sensitive to the things that are good & evil. There is a time that the Lord will pull away that from a person & leave them alone to only destroy their bodies because they've already destroyed their souls. That's when you'll become insensitive & the Bible says He leaves them with a reprobate mind. That's when you are no longer sensitive to the things that are good & evil. At the rate you're going, your body isn't going to last much longer. Now, you have taken the next step & have crossed the line into crime. It's not about the party any more. It's taken on a whole new life of its own.

There is a big difference between regret and repentance. God seeks our repentance. From what I've read here, you haven't ask Him for the ultimate forgiveness meaning you don't belong to Him. When you are not for Him, you are against Him.  When you're against Him, you're on the side of Satan. The forgiveness that you're seeking is because of the regret you fill for each act. For Him to truly hear you, you must ask for the ultimate forgiveness, repent & walk away from the things that is keeping you tied to the things of the world. He doesn't forgive you of anything else until that step has been taken. I don't want to seem all gloom & doom but the life you are creating for yourself is gloom & doom. The only hope that I can provide at the moment is this: At the moment, you are taking another breath. Obviously, He's still reaching out to you. Take advantage of this opportunity before it's everlasting too late.

Jonathan

One more thing I would like to add.  This "life" you speak of so fondly, is like a toll road.  The longer you are on it, the more expensive it becomes.  After awhile you will not see many exists.  Make no mistake there is a price to pay when  a person lives this way.  We have called it "Dancing with the devil,"  "Playing in the devils backyard."  none of these things are Free.  The enemy will make a puppet out of you, it sounds like it has already begun.  Little Brother read the "writing on the wall."  So many people are Praying for you that you do not know.  Tell me, how many of your friends would do things like that for you?  You have been told.  All those who are Praying for you also Love you, think about that.

Please don't harden your heart to the Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost (same Spirit).

KJV Hebrews 3:7-8

7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,

8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews%203:7-8&ver...

I remember right before, sitting right by a bed, before Jesus saved me something happened.

I was tempted to keep trying to find out the "right" God and hold off salvation. I got a firm warning (The Holy Spirit's voice can be quiet but when He's serious He will surely let you know).

I got told not to harden my heart to the Holy Ghost. For if I did I'd ether never receive salvation (for my heart would have rejected Him too much) or it would have been very difficult(difficult because I would have had a really hardened heart). Jesus saved me that day, Sat. May 29th 2010.

I don't want...read James 4:14. Please don't harden your heart to the Holy Spirit.

14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=James+4:14&version=KJV

I can tell you right now a person's life is very fragile. A person thinks that life will go on,; but death is sooner than people think. Please don't hold off salvation for you don't know how long your life shall be. I've seen many family members die. A body always expects a person to be there, but that's not always the case. I didn't except grandma to die when I was 13 despite being in a nursing home. I thought she'd always be there. It will be 7 years this month....I know what it's like to come close to death many times. For ex. I came with in inches of getting hit by a car when I was in 5th grade (I was about to cross the street directly from my house). I've come close to comitting suicide and...life is short. The doctors suggested my mom terminate her pregnancy. That and I was unlikly to live dispite mom refusing terminating for I was a micro-premie (I could have easily died how small how I was at slightly over 25 weeks out of the womb). I'm just trying to show that life could end very early (like it could have with me) or very late (like grandma). But the point is people don't know when their time is up. Eternity is not worth gambling with.

Let me put it to you this way. Last June I know a little boy (it was around the time of his 4th birthday) who drown in a public pool. They thought he was dead...I remember mom coming up the sidewalk screaming "Noah's dead, Noah's dead"!

Thank God they resusitated (sp) him...That was totally unexpected. Death is one of the most unexpected things ever. By the way, he almost got hit by a Toyota truck last Sat. at his sister's birthday and probably would of if his grandma didn't scream. See how fragile this life is? Please don't harden your heart to the Holy Spirit, please don't take a gamble with eternity. For if you're gambling with the Devil you'll always loose. If the Holy Spirit tells you today is the day of salvation, than today is the day.

2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Corinthians%206:2&a...

2 Corinthians 6:2

Don't hold off what you may not have another chance to ever have again. Like Mr.__ (he taught 12th grade civics last year) kept telling us. We only have so long for our door of oportunity. And, once it's shut we'll never have that chance again.

Do you really want forgivesness?  Are you aware that forgiveness entails giving up this lifestyle of yours?  The God we serve is always ready to welcome back the 'prodigal son'."Though thy sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they be red as crimson, they shall be as wool".  That is a promise He'll keep.  You only need to go to Him with a repentant heart, it doesn't matter how sinful you are, He is always ready to forgive.  Take all your burdens and weaknesses to Him and He will give you rest.

There is no sin too great for Him to forgive.

Be blessed!

Friend, just letting you know you haven't been forgotton. There's people praying for you. And, Jesus earnistly awaits as a Best Friend does (reminds me of the old hymn Softly and Tenderly).

I said a prayer for you this morning as well.

Love,

feetbreeze
