All rolled into one eh? Thank you and God Bless....someday soon we will know ALL the answers....

Dear Penny,

Would you agree that God could be a million persons in one God, if He wanted? He is God, right and nothing is impossible with him except what He himself says it’s impossible for him, like sinning. With that knowledge it shouldn't be so difficult to believe that God is 3 persons who do not make 3 distinct God's, but one. Why do we believe it, well because that is what we see in the word. They are one in every single aspect, except the position the hold within themselves, if you will. The three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit have the same attributes, they call all be worship. Jesus is called the Alpha and Omega(Rev.), God the Father is also called the Alpha and Omega etc...

Revelation 2:8 "To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again.

Revelation 22

12“Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. 13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

Isaiah 44:6 "This is what the LORD says--Israel's King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God.

God calls Jesus God in Hebrews 1 etc.

We know the answer now beloved to this mystery, but there remain other doctrinal issues that we look forward to get details on.

Blessings to you sis.

Hello Penny!

I just would like to make this short and simple... maybe you will understand better? use this as an illustration: think of an egg, has 3 parts: the yolk, the white, and the shell but its one egg... same as God, He's only One person. Here some Scriptures to clarify:

  • James 2:19: “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well; the devils also believe, and tremble.”
  • Mark 12:29And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
  • Mark 12:32And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is oneGod; and there is none other but he:
  • Ephesians 4:6  OneGod and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
  • 1 Timothy 2:5For there is oneGod, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

May God give you understanding,

Sister in Christ

I understand there is only 1 God I also understand that Jesus is God just another form of God so is the Holy Spirit. Still I have questions about the 'man' called Jesus, as Iam vaguely understanding Jesus was God in human form. But even more importantly is what Jesus taught. I see a paradox here as well. God laid some heavy laws on the Isrealites then he comes to earth and declares that the laws no longer apply that all is needed is to believe in what Jesus taught and that He made the ultimate sacrifice to redeem us from our sins. Makes me go hmmm. Example: The 2 most important commandments overshadows the original 10. Although if one abides and follows Jesus's 2 the other 8 fall into place.

For God so loved us that he gave his only begotten son so that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. Thats what I believe when I get right down to it. What a blessing to be redeemed by such a sacrifice. The rest of it is just speculation. IMO.

God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit - There it is there, no need to explain anymore than that.

:) Love to you Penny. As Long as you call my Lord (Jesus) Lord is all good in the neighborhood.

Thank you to all that have answered my questions and God Bless. I have decided to back off of the meetings with these ladies of my own free will. There are just too many conflicts that have arisen. I have prayed and will continue to pray about this situation and this is what I feel is what the Lord is leading me to....free will and all that. Thank you David and of course my Lord is Jesus Christ and I thank God every day for His wonderful sacrifice and love.

Hi Sharon,

My name is Torshia Walker and I am new to this website. I was born and raise a Jehovahs Witness and now I am born again Christian. I know that being a part of that organization has caused quite a ripple in your family relationships but trust me when I say it, " I have been there."

Thank you....why did you leave? In your opinion would you consider them a cult?

Hi Penny,

The Jehovah WItness organization in my opinion is a CULT. It is very sad because most people who are Jehovah's Witnesses cannot be swayed from that organization even if you pointed scripture out to them in the bible. I left because I knew without a shadow of a doubt that I could not live up to the standard that was set before me and furthermore I could not see myself participating in the disfellowshipping practice of shunning a person for making a mistake.  I am a person who asked a lot of questions and some of the answers were scriptural and others were based on the "fear" tactic that was always impressed upon me. I chose to find out for myself and I read the Bible for myself from Genesis to Revelations and found out the truth of Gods word. Jehovahs Witnesses do not read the bible...they read the Watchtower and Awake and use passages of the bible to justify there religious position. But that is something that you would need to be careful of no matter who is teaching. Always check the scriptures for yourself. When you get an opportunity, I would strongly encourage you to read the book of Colossians. It is only 4 chapters but it clearly defines who Jesus is. By studying scripture for myself, I was able to compare and contrast Christianity vs Jehovah Witness beliefs and also able to identify which scriptures are taken out of context.

Torshia

Thank you again....there are many truths in what you say. I have no desire to join up with the witnesses. What they believe is not what I believe but it is quite interesting to discuss the bible with the ladies that come to my home. There have been many many times that they are confused and have a lack of reliable answers to my questions. I know what their agenda is I'm not a fool and even when I tell them straight up that there is no way I will be joining them and giving up what I have been shown by God to be the truth. They still keep trying....got to hand it to them they are persistant. But then Iam firm in my own beliefs and as stubborn as a Missouri mule I will not be swayed to walk their path. For God and His most precious Son have shown me the path to walk. Iam attending a "christian" church on Sundays when I can and this really bugs them....this is most intriguing and fun....who knows maybe I can persuade them to open their eyes before it is too late.

Thank you again and I'm glad you have found the truth and the light....God bless and keep you!

Penny,

My prayer is that you, through your faith in Christ, will show these ladies that they are on the wrong path and lead them to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. In Jesus' Name...
